I also realised over ten years later that we've never seen beyond second stage as that was all that was available at the time.

Just take it to someone (or get a mobile guy to come to you) for the sake of £50-100 to sort it.
-
Cool will have a look on ITV4 as don't have BT Sport.
-
Yep, door been opened into something. No chance of that being fixed under warranty, user error, I'm afraid. Just get it touched up. I really wouldn't be worried by that. Either pay someone to do it or scratch the rust off add primer and top coat.

Wanted Rear Boot Liner / Mat and Polystyrene Panel
Lauren replied to GT86Jay's topic in Wanted GT86 / BRZ Cars and Parts
I've got both, Make me an offer. Both were a month old when they were taken out of the car. -
When is it? I love watching WRC but since the TV coverage dissapeared, then came back on ITV4 (though I can never figure out when it's on), I've not been able to follow it.

To be fair a lot of doors get chipped this way if they're opened into a wall or another car. I'm sure mine's got a few.
-
Need to see the pictures really. But if you caused the damage I wouldn't expect it to be covered under warranty.
-
No, it's an Alpine INE 925R.

Welcome aboard. Look forward to hearing the plans.

Well let us know how you get on, because as you can see I haven't got that far yet. Tbh I'm not masively bothered about updating the software. As for the map updates, well maybe I should, though it doesn't seem to be a big issue. I think more likely I'll just leave it and upgrade the head unit at some point. We'll see.
-
I haven't. There is a software update, that came out ages ago, but it needs a Windows PC, so I keep meaning to ask Mark to do it for me. You have to download 'toolbox' or some such then you can download the data and load it on with a micro SD card. There are map updates I should think. Those are separate and will cost money I would have thought. I can't find out till Mark downloads 'toolbox' as you can't work out what you need it, what it costs it seems without downloading it and they have no support for a Mac which is all I use.

Well, the reality is like anything else that you need to spend a reasonable amount of money to get the suspension to be an improvement, but it depends what you want out of it really. If you're only doing it for looks, putting on lowering springs is okay, but not the best setup by far. Really, it's one of those things that you have to do properly even if it's just for looks.
-
Looks good. Is it still on stock suspenders?
-
HSD's are apparently 9kg front and 7kg rear.
-
Depends what you want, Nige. My reason for a softer front spring was more to do with weight transfer under braking than anything else as I like the weight to shift to unload the rear on turn in and get the weight over the front. Different people want different things of course, so yes it's subjective.

Welcome Paul, hope to see you at some of the upcoming meets.

Good move, Jay. I think with the TRD kit, it really must have the aero fins as having the BRZ ones just isn't fitting really now you've got the kit on. I think the aero fins on the wings wil finish off the TRD kit and make it look complete if you see what I mean. Good shout on getting authentic wheels. Yes, they are expensive but you've got the real TRD bodykit, so the wheels will be the icing on the cake I think. Removing the sub out of the boot and saving a few kg is fine, though it will make no difference at all, though I understand those who have installed the OEM sub system are very pleased with it. Good idea to focus on driving tuition, all of us have had it, it makes a huge difference.

It really is brilliant. Not only for a very enjoyable story line but also for the manner in which it teaches driving technique. I first watched this 12 years ago. Now we're watching it again. I forgot how good it is is.
-
Looks fab. You have to get TRD aero fins now!

What is the noise limit at Rockingham going to be? Mine is at 93db so guessing it will be okay.
-
It's not a WRC car if it's 2WD and no they can't compete, not quick enough.

They're very well known if you look on Driftworks. A favourite it seems for drifting. Spring rates are on the high side. Made in Korea apparently.

The 1st September came round pretty quickly. Glad you're enjoying your car. Just the small matter of running it in now. It took me a week, so you must be nearly there.

I agree I think they are better suited for clearing large amounts of water, but as soon as you're out of the puddle they're worse. So, unless it's very cold and there is a lot of frosts they are not worth it and feel terrible at temperatures above 5C. I've still got a set so will stick them on when the salt goes down, to save my TE37's from the abuse of winter. When they're worn out I will seriously consider whether winter tyres are worth buying again. Let's see how this years winter is.
