If you think about it, it's the rear silencer that makes the biggest difference to how loud an exhaust is. But obviously the sound is the loudest at the exit of the head. So although it will be quitened down to an extent with the cats the rear silencer plays the bigger part in noise reduction. Comparing the sound with the cats removed or the rear silencer removed would result in it being loudest with no rear silencer.

Toyota interest at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Poor effort I say. It's good for those who like yellow I guess. -
Valenti tail lights becoming popular???
Lauren replied to Subota Boy's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I think it's just fashion and Valenti lights being a part of that. I seriously doubt Maserati got the idea from Valenti. Getting a bit common eh? -
Happy Birthday.

Interesting. I wonder what is limited edition about it though apart from the colour and the stripes? -
17s are better and they're lighter! Well done, Ian, they look good. Once it's lowered it'll be spot on. That's a wide tyre though, Ian. Will it ever go sideways?

Like Rob says, it'll be their problem if it breaks again. If at the time there was a JP option I would have jumped for that as I think they about the best there is this side of Akrapovik, but obviously I bought the Milltek as part of the deal, so I'm not unhappy with it all if I get a new rear box every 40K miles. Should last forever. http://www.jpexhausts.co.uk/gallery.asp?t=JP%20Exhausts%20Gallery

I think just keep an eye on it. Any problems, you know it will get fixed with no issues. I noticed a slight change in sound a little rattle on idle and when I was watching Mark's vids of Woodbridge the car sounded different when I launched it.

James, Keith does have quite a few issues with his auto gearbox, that's his biggest problem really. This is why he's thinking of fitting a cooler as well as quite a few other modifications to the gearbox so that it will take the power and so he doesn't suffer the redact problem that the auto box is known for.

Driving off to work, what a difference it makes to have it back as it was. Much, much better and I was able to have something of a blast on my way over through Leek. Could even smell it after a good ragging.

Cheers. My only reason for not getting a red interior is that I thought that the black would stand up to Indy better.

Used Michelin Primacy HP tyres (stock fitment)

If you'd been a week earlier you could have mine. I gave them away to Alec. -
Cool. I wonder how much Ian's wheels weigh.

New one looks the same. I expect the new one will last another 40K, by then Milltek can replace it with a modified version. Top service from Richard and the guys at RRG Macc. I probably have the highest mileage Milltek on a GT in the UK.

The cracked Milltek:

Yep, I know how to launch an auto, Keith, Mark had an auto MR2 SC which was at the time of it's launch the quickest car 0-30mph on the road. You rev it whilst holding the brake, stall the torque converter then it rips your neck off when you floor it. Can't do any of this with the GT though. You could honestly walk off the line quicker.

If I had a choice again I would have gone for the red interior too.

Currently getting the new one fitted:

The reality is, 300bhp is easily enough I would say.
-
I don't really understand what you mean, Nick. The service is fixed price. I don't know what a 'warranty service' is.
-
It looks alright, but I think the lack of headlamp washers (unless they supply a kit that incorporates them) makes it a non-starter.

I was being kind.

Sorry, watching Glastonbury this weekend. All said, i'd like to go, but reckon the Thursday/Friday are the days to go on. Maybe another time.

I think the Falkens are a bit budget really. I'd go for a premium tyres the likes of which have already been mentioned by Keethos. I've got Rays wheels so I just bought Rays nuts via Nengun.

Welcome, Chris, car looks absolutely fab (not sure about the shopping list though). You should think about joining as a trader.
