Then you can be more like me and have the 'blue' version.
-
I'd say go for a really bright blue. Thinking like that Porsche riviera blue or perhaps like the GT3 RS.

I think people expect different things from the car. Many will look at it's price and compare it with a similar costing VAG car and say the interior quality is crap and that it shouldn't have rattles and all that. Also people are into different things. I like a clean car but I can't be bothered with polishing it or worrying about stone chips. As long as it looks alright that'll do me. As for rattles and squeaks, mine has it's moments. For the most part I just turn the wikkid sounds up and really I don't care if the car rattles a bit. I've done over 40K in 16 months and the car does get driven hard on occasion. That's where it shines really, but on the other hand I find no problem in driving around deprived council estates in my day to day work, it's fine, everything works, no problem. Also the standard car is a starting point for individualisation and that's the point with this car just like it was 30 years ago with the AE86, you modify the car to your own taste and needs.

I haven't got a front lip, in terms of speed bumps, with a 25mm drop it's no problem apart from the ones where you run the edges, then you have to put a wheel over them to avoid grounding the exhaust. Tbh it's having a more aggressive geo that makes a big difference in how the car handles. Exciting stuff about the supercharger though.

Diff oil is the important one. I had my 40K service just over a week ago, diff oil and pollen filter changed for the second time plus brake fluid as I asked for it.

Car looks good and the sideskirts and splitters are nice and subtle. I'll bet others have said this but with the new wheels are you going to lower it at all? It's almost weird that as soon as you put aftermarket wheels on it looks too high!

Welcome aboard, Geoff, glad you found your way over here. The 'club clown' thing did make me chuckle!

I've just donated two Primacys to Alec to make him feel better.

Mine is flush mounted with the carpet. It does get pretty hot. When it's been covered by luggage it has overheated twice on long road trips, over the Alps and through Germany in high temperatures. Half an hour later it works again.

Yep, good work, Rob. Glad I ordered a small, it's huge!
-
Unfortunately it dents rather easily. It's a car where there is obvious evidence of weight saving. Be careful with leaning on the bonnet, it's aluminium. Once you've got a few dinks you worry about it less.

Well done! Now just another 9K to do run everything else in.

Nothing wrong with enjoying a car stock. I admit though, mine was modified by the time I picked it up!

Found an industrial estate local to me

Looks like a good day out. -
Better to put the tweakers at the top of the doors in front of the interior door handle for sound quality. The OEM position isn't ideal.

Unfortunately the wifi in the Brewers Fayre is a bit crap. Currently only have 3G so hot spotting, but really could do with wifi for video streaming. Radio Le Mans is about the best we can do really.

If only I needed more power.

I suppose it just sounds like heresy reducing the rev limit when you tune a car! I like revs too much and would prefer it higher. It does seem that the intercooling is the limiting factor here. Air to air would be better of course but you'd have to change the whole configuration.

Will have a look. We're currently using the Eurosport HD months subscription. Need to see it in the pub tonight though!

It would seem unlikely that you've got a broken spring as the effect would be more dramatic. How much lower is one side than the other? If you're worried, back to the dealer is the obvious option.
-
I think there might be some merit to rear speakers in a bigger cabin, but the GT is tiny really.
-
This will be a simple replacement part available from your dealer. Or try Richard (well Paul in parts) he'll get it sorted for you.
-
It's not the 8kg (what is a lb?) or so from the sub box. Are you sure it's how it sits on level ground? About all you can do is inspect the rear springs and perhaps measure the ride height on level ground.
-
The rear speakers are crap. You don't need them. Much easier to setup a system with two way components in the front, a DSP and a sub in the boot. There's no real benefit to having rear speakers. Stu put dynamat in his roof. I've no idea what my system weighs, but probably about 15kgs or so. Just a guess. That is negligible really when you consider the overall weight of the car. I didn't notice any difference when I had it all fitted a month into ownership. Also if you start stripping things out you have to do a lot to make a difference. The car then becomes a nightmare in real world driving. Been there, done that with other cars I've had.
