Welcome aboard! Well, as you may have noticed not many of these cars stay standard for long. So what are you thinking of doing first? ]Or given it's your first RWD car, maybe good to spend that money on tuition on track etc?
-
Well, they might be, they might not. Just saying that if there is a way to convert R12 to R134a (similar issues) then there might be an alternative for this issue. Obviously unless you need degassing it is not going to trouble most owners.
-
There may well be additives that can sort that issue out though. A bit like when I converted my AE86 from R12 to R134A.

It was reviewed in EVO IIRC. I remember that it is very heavy. Don't think it was anything special is what I recall, just a huge barge.
-
Mark and I are coming.
-
That's great, but it might be worth remembering that nobody is going to need an MOT until at least August 2015.
-
Sounds alright to me. :+:

What time are people thinking of going over to Oulton? I've got to walk Indy at some point, do the shopping and neither of these things are track friendly. So I won't be around all day. I may pop up in the morning. Do we have a plan for curry yet?

Alec is always there to greet new owners at RRG. It's all part of the service.

Exciting stuff! Well, the head unit (think this is pretty true of both) is not very good, so if you like your music don't go for sat nav as it's cheaper or the same price to buy a very good head unit indeed which will have sat nav on it and you will get better sound to boot of course as well as DAB etc.The leather/alcantara or full leather is absolutely worth it for the heated seats. Couldn't live without them.

Great stuff. Start counting the hours! :+:

Sounds good. :+: I admit, I've not noticed a rattle from my glovebox, but maybe having a fire extinguisher in it helps. I have my boot floor and door panels covered in dynamat which was put in when I had my audio install done. I admit though I never noticed any vibrations from the back before that though.

Alex, see if you can make the karting on the 9th November, that will be a good meet. How have you managed to make the rears last nearly 30K? I only managed 14K which did have two trackdays in it I guess, but even so, you've arguably done more than that!Still glad you are still enjoying it. :+: I'm a bit over 22K now and still :lover: it.

Doesn't it have an air bypass valve, Mark when cruising? This could be what people are talking about, i.e. it's then switching to allow the pressure into the inlet and that slight delay may be that?
-
Hello stranger! Great stuff about coming to the meet. Will be cool to see you around a bit more again! :+: BTW check the events section I've posted about next Saturday's mini-meet and inevitable curry! :)And I'm sure Richard is loving that Aygo GT he's got really.

I've had some tuition in drifting from Drift One at Oulton Park. Was good fun. Did it in my AE86.
-
I hope it's faster than the non-GT version.
-
Ooh you might have done as I was coming home from Burton which took me Ashbourne, Leek and onto Bosley.

Here you go:http://www.carlimits.comThese guys should be able to offer the kind of experience you are looking for.

So I heard earlier today! :tongue:Still it's gone to a very good home. Tis a long standing friend of mine and fellow Toyota enthusiast. I think he'll be coming out to meets and stuff, so we'll all get to see the car again. :)Good news on the new order, Richard. Look forward to seeing the bits you are going to put on it.

I saw a BRZ on the road before I saw a GT86 interestingly! Seen a few, but not many. (Getting syntax errors stopping me posting. I hate this forum software).

Hmm wonder what they will find. A bushing that's worn perhaps or an issue with the damper or spring?

Now this is getting interesting. I'd be very interested to see how Litchfield's rotrex set up delivers having driven Abbey's twin scroll set up. I'm guessing the power delivery of the rotrex will be more peaky than that of the twin screw set up. But, that could be more in keeping with the power delivery of the standard car, which may well suit it very well.
