Have a great day, guys. I'm heading up to the 'northern' BBQ at Tuning Developments.

    Vent Gauge

How does it connect? Is it through the OBD or from the sensor? Think I might be seriously tempted, as I could use it for battery on the road and oil temp on track. How much?

Looks good. Know what you mean about battery drain when you've got serious ICE. I managed to flatten my battery at a recent show. It lasts 45 minutes then it's dead!
  8. Great write up, Rob. Would have loved to have been there. Guess I have to wait till the 21st for my TGB trackday.

Top Gear back on this weekend

LOL! It's not that I don't like it there are some bits I do like. I'm just not a fan of the clowning around!

    Dent :(

I have an idea that people simply get their cars fixed and that's how they are kept in good condition. I will get my door dings sorted out once I'm working somewhere else and will doubtless get the front end re-sprayed at some point. The trouble is my car is on nearly 11K after 5 months so it's got nearly a years mileage already. So it doesnt look like a five month old car it looks a year old already! But it's not the end of the world, I intend to put lots of miles on it so you just have to accept it's going to happen.
  11. Turbo IME is never described as TC, so I could only think he meant TC as in traction control.
  12. Well, it''s always a 'battle'. Quite an interesting comparison it seems. I won't tell you the outcome but the GT86's tyres are a factor. Great fun as I remember on my last outing on track. I must admit the car does seem to get to a point after a few laps where tyres do seem to have no grip at all, especially at the rear. But the grip level then very much settles and you can endlessly exploit the handling balance to hold ever more lurid slides. Enjoy!
  13. Yes, I think it's fair, the Fiesta has a power deficit but a torque advantage. GT86 has TC too, but it was turned off. You could put grippier tyres on the GT and it would likely win, but being quicker round a lap for me is not the be all and end all for a car.

    Opinions Please

You have to click on the 'A' icon which opens the advanced editor and then use the picture icon to insert a pic. I'm not sure about these, I think it's the way it come out towards the door that makes it look like it's not a good fit. I'm guessing this is intentional. Would look better on a black car I would think.

I will get mine sorted when I'm no longer parking in that car park! Seems little point until then.

Ooh I hate that. I've got four little dinks in my driver's door as a result of negligence by work colleagues in the car park. I also took the paint off the underside of the nearside pointy bit on the splittter. I've also scraped it underneath in about four places on a kerb. It's certainly got the used look now!

    Planning a black roof wrap

I'm very interested to see how this turns out.

Wrapping and plasti coating seems to be all the rage at the moment. I guess the thing to consider is how long it will last? Also what happens when you get a stone chip. These things may be easily sorted but it's not the same as paint of course.

    Hello everyone!

Hello! It's still very much early days, we are only on our third week, so things will take time to get going, but welcome aboard. We are hoping to make this a great club in the future.

    My Wikkid sound install

We left the tweeters in the dash and the completely useless rear speakers. They are just disconnected. I don't think the weight of all the gear is relevant to stuff like handling, really. Apparently I've saved nigh on 10kgs with my Milltek exhaust and de-cat, though 10kgs is neither here nor there. It's a personal choice. I really, really love my music, so it's important to me. I drive £25K miles a year and there are times when I just want to chill and have decent sounds. Actually though I think I need it as the road noise in this car is pretty bad, so it takes a sound system with some welly to drown it out!

It's the next best colour, just get a white one.

    rob275's Audio Install

Biggest issue I can see is no volume control knob.

    rob275's Audio Install

Hmm, looks pretty good. Seems to have a good amount of functionality. I guess that my only reservation is that it's made by Parrott rather than a recognised audiophile brand, though it has stuff that mine doesn't like being able to go on the web and far more nav options.

    rob275's Audio Install

Looks good, though detail. Is finding Andriod compatible head units a problem?
