There have been some forum updates installed, though if it's working for some and not others it is difficult to know. Mine works, first time I've tried it in six months. I'm no IT Geek though, @rob275 is your man.

I have Tapatalk though never use it. Just tried it, works fine for me. Must be something to do with your log in.
-
You don't know that it is though. Just because it will available in Japan, does not translate to it being available here. Also a four cylinder Supra is going to be a fair bit above the price point of a GT86, so it's not a replacement.

A number of people have complained about noisy release bearings. They can rattle a bit, though a rattle isn't really much to worry about. If they take the gearbox out and find that say the clutch is worn, they are going to put that down to wear and tear, though realistically it's hard to think of what else it could be.

This is just pure speculation and has no credibility at this point.

It'll be absolutely fine. I took my car all the way to the old East of Germany and back with a TD manifold, no cats and their resonated exhaust. I've had mine on for 25K miles now, no problem. You won't hear it when cruising, you will hear it when you accelerate on a motorway. I have a serious sound system in mine I admit, was no issue though.

More members set to benefit from Chris Knott service

As an absolute maximum, yes. Not really more than 10%. -
Having the traction/stability control on will increase wear on your rear brakes, I would say as it will use the brakes to bring the car back into line. As for wear on the rear tyres, only really if you're drifting it!

Yes, that's it. Not much in it! -

Literally about three miles away! What a difference it seems to make. -
It's always nice when it's quiet. I remember those times in the early days of track days. Weather does put people off it seems. Had an absolutely fabulous day at Donny only a week previous. It was fairly busy, but not an issue as such and I love the GP layout there. I admit I've only ever driven on track with everything turned off, but given how intrusive the stability control is on the road, I can but imagine what a pain it is on the track. All off is the way forward to allow you to play with the car.

I got a quote with a Stockport postcode, SK8 (Heald Green), no problem. My car is always on my drive, but it was no issue. Where are you in Stockport? -
Welcome (at last!). There are lots of meets near you, if you'd like to come out and meet some other members.
-
If they have a service centre in the UK, you can get them serviced. Otherwise, buy a new damper if they are not servicable.
-
I run spigot rings on my TE37's, it's no problem, so it isn't bad practice not for a decent wheel.
-
The engine absolutely definitely does not have to come out. Yes they have to lift it a bit, but it stays connected! I've had my plugs changed twice now. Diff oil is also included in the service, make sure it is done.

They don't differ they are the same. Subaru are just robbing you.

Welcome aboard. Good choice on mods so far. As for tyre sizes, stock tyre sizes are better on an 8" rim as you may find the increased sidewall with a 225/45/17 robs it of some feel. 225/40/18 is the correct profile if going for 18's. You'll enjoy the TD NA package makes a big difference to how the car drives.
-
Oh no, Bob, not again! Hopefully you will change your mind!
-
You can just get them from Toyota. Maybe cheaper than Subaru, but not sure on that. I'd personally only use OEM discs, they aren't that expensive. As for pads there is plenty of choice in the aftermarket and a lot are quieter than the OEM ones. All UK cars are the 294mm front discs and the rears are vented.

Dan from Adrian Flux Insurance Services
Lauren replied to DAN@ADRIAN FLUX's topic in Insurance Companies
Having just taken out a policy with Adrian Flux, I'd be interested to know if other members have had to mess about as much as I have in order to get their insurace policy right? I asked for a copy of my insurance document. It didn't have business use on it which is essential for me to work. They corrected that but having Class 1 Business use in bold or something would have been a bit clearer than the waffling wording they provided which I will have to explain to my employer. Then I questioned why the additional £24 I paid to upgrade my third party cover to fully comp up to £20K on other cars wasn't in the insurance document. I was told that it's an Adrian Flux add on, not something that the underwriter covers. I'm thinking to myself 'well how do I prove that then?' and shouldn't I just be asking for a refund on that extra £24. I've been sent another email letter with embedded to their link on how they provide this additional cover which I'm unable to click on or copy. Brilliant. Not impressed with my experience so far and my policy doesn't start until the 1st February. I hope I can sort it out by then or I will be cancelling the lot. -
They are sided. You need to get the one with the plastic release on the right. It may say passenger for LHD but that is the right one. See here:
-
I think you just have to be more careful with how you get in and out of the car. Using leather conditioner also probably helps. Mine is still okay after 123K miles. I never ever drive in a coat though, I would say that and carelessness are the enemy really.

You would be highly recomended to go to RRG Macclesfield, easily the most experienced dealer when it comes to GT86's. They've got a lovely Blue edition demo with the performance pack that is up for grabs.

GT86 for sale - Remapped by Tuning Developments
Lauren replied to DaveJenks95's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Cars
You should add whether it has the TD manifold as it's not clear in your description as a remap alone won't remove the torque dip. It does make a difference to how the car drives for sure, but nothing like if you had the TD manifold and primary cat removed. I know I've tried both!
