Welcome aboard. What was that dealer thinking eh? Not having it in the showroom with the Performance Pack. Plenty of options with audio, most of us change something, it just depends how far you want to go. I pulled the entire audio out a month after getting mine and changed the lot. Others upgrade the front speakers, which is a good cheap plug and pray upgrade.

You should look at the price of replacement pads comparing the AP to K-Sport. IIRC the replacement pads for the K-Sport calipers were a fair bit more, so I heard anyway. I honestly wouldn't touch K-Sport over a reputable brand like AP. It's not because I've heard anything bad about K-Sport, but AP is used by manufacturers as OEM and a number of manufacturers for their race cars. I don't think K-Sport have anywhere near the same reputation.

Really? That might account for the variance then. My coolant hose wasn't wrapped but it doesn't need to be as there is a good gap between that and the down (up) pipe.
-
No, there is no difference. It will be the slight changes in tolerance from a manifold that though made using a jig will have some variance at JP Exhausts where they make them.
-
Mine is similar. They all run close the crankshaft pulley, though this isn't a problem as such.
-
The £1500 for the AP 4 pots and Reyland discs includes the braided lines and pads and everything you need to fit and go.
-
I have the same setup but mine is not touching and there is no degradation of the coolant hose. Mine have been on for 20K miles +. I don't have any wrap on my coolant hose. Seems odd that yours is touching.

It was hugely worthwhile to have consistent brakes that never fade on track or when I'm sprinting. The consistency is the key here it makes them hugely confidence inspiring which is important when you're on it lap after lap. I find now that my brakes are just sorted and I never have that fear of the brakes fading which is worth the cost alone. Whatever you do to the stock brakes you will still have the same problem. I know I tried for nigh on five years trying different pads, but the conclusion I came to was that while I could find a slight improvement the problem remained.

Ridiculously over-priced for boring OEM wheels that are neither light nor pretty. Guess it's probably due to there not being that many available yet. But as a guide early OEM wheels are basically worthless going for around £150 a set, maybe £200 with tyres. I remember paying £300 for a set of OEM wheels back in 2014. Reckon you're looking at around £4-500 given the lack of available 2017 on OEM wheels at the moment. Give it a year or two and nobody will want them like the early wheels would be my best guess.

Get the Reyland Kit with AP 4 pots. For £1500 it's an absolute bargain. I've had mine on for over a year now and 20K miles it's epic. No issues and endless consistent brakes on track. Feels like the front pads will last forever too.

GT86 and BRZ wheels are the same.

Really this is an ideal time to get rid of the shite stock head unit and get something better aftermarket. If you're really keen on a stock one, I have one that was only in my car a month from new before I replaced it. Not been used in nearly six years.
-
It only tends to over-read if you leave the car for a bit then return and then it will often be drastically higher than the outside temperature, but should correct itself after a few miles driving. Sorry no idea about calibrating it.
-
There's a Toyota event within it, which is £30. They are ideally looking for one of each model, so one GT86 entering to do autotest and a number of other things. Obviously you won't be racing on the track as such with the other cars. It explains it in the Toyota blog link if you want to have a go.

The mid-range torque isn't better on the UEL compared to the EL. It's about the same.
-
I don't like the interference of VSC either. I've just been turning mine off everytime I start the car for about the last three years. Seems to be a good solution. I think if you start extending how much steering lock, whilst good for drifting it may not be so good for when you're not drifting. I'm quite happy too with the power/handling balance. Helps me keep my licence.
-
I'd do the service or expect to get at least £600 knocked off the price. You may do better to wait for the recall if you're on the list (likely) and get a cheaper service to change the spark plugs whilst the engine is out.
-
There's not much in it I admit, but equal length is the obvious choice and I was chasing peak figures for sprinting. I didn't go for UEL as I didn't want my car to sound like it was broken.

A 17" wheel can look just fine, you have to lower it though. I run a 17x8 but run 215/45's. I tried 225/45 but there was too much sidewall flex and a bit too much grip for my liking. Any 18" wheel will be heavier than the same wheel in 17". I like my wheels as light as possible and appreciate the difference, but it depends whether you prefer looks over handling and how important that is to you of course. An equal length manifold is superior to the unequal one. The secret is in the manifold, losing the primary cat and the cam timing more likely.

Congratulations!

HNY, I'm still in recovery after last nights shenanigans. Start as you mean to go on...

Welcome aboard, seems like some funny ractions you've had around your local town. Enjoy the car though and those fabulous roads in the Highlands.
