My drivers side mirror no longer folds in and out, the passenger side is fine. I did partially crush mine against a telegraph pole about four years ago and though it worked after that in the last 6 months it's given up. I guess mine is due to the earlier damage. I admit, I haven't tried botthering to fix mine and pull it in manually by hand and push it back out on the odd occasion I feel it necessary to fold the mirror. At least the passenger side still works as it's a tad harder to reach.

Great work Jordan and great work by Carson too. Sounds like you are becoming unbearably close to firing it up. The excitement is tangible.

Have a great one all. Just got up and checked the forum.

This is a UK club, 99.9% of us have keyless entry which I suspect will mean our ECU's are no good to you. I might be wrong though.

Always a pleasure, Mike, best to you and Nick.

Is remapping nessecary if installing uel header?
Lauren replied to Curtthrasher01's topic in Modifications
Is it running rich or is the second cat not quite cutting it? -
Welcome aboard. It may be worth considering some aftermarket wheels, there are tons available and it's not hard to improve on the look of the standard offering. Loads of options for exhausts too, but get a resonated cat back if you intend on changing the manifold later.

Blimey let's hope this one is good. I take it Nev is off the Xmas card list?

That's a shame. You'd think a waterpump is a water pump really, so hard to see how it could be different, but I hope you get it sorted.

Welcome aboard, enjoy!

It'll probably be okay, but to get the full benefit you need a remap. -
Thanks Vad, that's fab. I'm going to take care of Japfest Donington as it's an easy one for me to get to. For Japfest Silverstone all help is gratefully received. Of the others, it's probably worth gauging interest to see how many want to go. Tunerfest has been popular before, though Santa Pod less so. The JDM Combe event was attended by a few members last year. JAE is in the balance, I will take care of that one if it happens as well.

Recall issued on cars to have valve springs replaced 2012-2013
Lauren replied to Lauren's topic in Mechanical
Toyota won't do it until they work out how to do it properly. If you ignore the recall and your valve springs fail you'll have no comeback. It affects 400,000 cars worldwide. Quite a few cars. I don't think anyone is considering not doing the recall. There do not have to be many failures for this to be an issue. As it's a safety issue they have to do the recall. -
Please add location.

I just use a seat cover I think i got from Pets at Home years ago. It isn't fitted but you can put the top of it over the rear seat cushion and lock it in place. Seems to do the job well enough for Indy the Cavalier.

A bit of an update here, following some discussion which took all the way to a long night following the club Xmas meal kindly organised by Jeff, Jeff has considered his position and decided to step down. We had a good chat with Kev who has taken on the position of Chairman. We are very pleased to have Kev on board and he has been fantastic in promoting the Toyota Sprint Series and has been a great ambassador for this. I am sure Kev will do a great job for the club pushing it forwards and there has been a lot of discussion for events for next year. So welcome aboad Kev! We are already getting busy with planning Japfest Silverstone and Donny, deciding what to do about JAE and also a lot of the other regional shows. @VAD17 has done a great job sorting all the track day stuff out and we hope he'll be joining the committee soon, we are just trying to juggle our day jobs and make time to sort club stuff out. I apologise if this has taken a while, my day job is hell currently!

Cosworth / AP Racing 6 Pot Front BBK

You'll neewd 18" wheel to go over these. -
Tommy, didn't you get the cold start mapped out?

I've got the same setup, EL manifold, Milltek overpipe, TD decat and resonated system, so no cats. It's not quiet if you're on it, but it's fine when cruising.

Also don't forget with TEINS you can have the benefit of EDFC Active-Pro. Even better. I've had mine on for about 100K miles. They were serviced two years ago when they'd done 50K miles. No issues at all with the dampers, only thing was I needed a new top mount as the thread had pulled on it. The EDFC has been faultless in 100K miles too.

I'm 5ft 5" or 166cms as I prefer to say, I run the seat on the lowest position and pretty much the same with the wheel. Never had an issue with reach, I can bring it closer which I do when I'm on track, but there's plenty of adjustment and more reach than I need. Primo won't be any different. Solutions for the OP are a deeper dished wheeel though you will end up further from the stalks.

You just get used to the sensitive throttle after a time I find. The trouble is it makes it feel horrible when you go to a softer throttle map. Maybe somewhere in the middle would be better for you? You can get it adjusted.

Of course you can. But in a perfect world....
