It's not a recall. Why call it that? I've done 120K miles on my original fuel pump. No issues.

Custom Interior Floor Mats (Leather with Red Stitching) Brand New - GT86/BRZ
Lauren replied to WARD3GA's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
You may want to say what they are made out of, whether you are giving them away free, paying someone to take them off you, or whether you actually want someone to pay you for them and if so, how much? -
Oxygen sensor failure always results in worse petrol consumption. That is an odd one. Don't see any point in replacing your plugs if they've been at the 60K service, it's not going to be that. Likewise changing the oil is not going to affect emissions. Not sure what effect the Crawford 'power blocks' make to the emissions. Even with one catalyst you should be fine. I am guessing they are getting the cats up to temperature before running the test?
-
There is no point getting the plugs changed if you haven't done the mileage. For those of us that drive our cars, mine is 5.5 years old and is having it's 120K service tomorrow which will of course mean my plugs get changed for the second time round!

GT86 BRZ Tuning Package from Tuning Developments

You'll be fine everywhere but Bedford (and Thruxton). That's no great loss though. If you've driven Donington you won't be that interested in Bedford. I've had no problems with noise with all the circuits I've been to running the same setup, TD EL, TD resonated system and no cats.- 231 replies

I didn't take it from that, I took it from the actual physical service book. I didn't look at your link as it would have involved finding it.
-
No it doesn't. It states 60,000 miles for spark plug change. It says nothing about time or how many years.
-
The spark plugs are done on mileage not age. So you don't need them doing. This is clear if you look in the service manual.

That sub takes up a fair bit of boot space though. I have mine under the floor in the boot and run a 12" JBL with a Hertz amp running three channels, again under the boot floor. An Audison Bit 10 DSP makes a huge difference to sound I think. I agree the rear speakers are a waste of time, you just don't need them. Two way components in the front with a crossover is perfectly adequate. I run Focal 3's.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy. Plenty of options available if you want to play with it.

I wouldn't go too much on videos TBH. Better to hear them in the flesh.
-
You will want to lower it the moment you fit them. Obviously there are tons of options in that respect from lowering springs or coilovers. Some go for springs, I would say coilovers are better. The TEIN Flex A on 6/6kg gives a good enough ride. You can try your luck with lowering springs as it's obviously far cheaper. You will lose damper stroke though of course which is already fairly limited on the rear.

It doesn't say the width of the wheel. 8" is ideal really or 8.5". I expect they will be 7.5" which is okay. You will notice the arch gap after fitting them yes. No way around that really.

Fantastic news! Well done.

No, they have their own version in the US for the Clubsport edition. -
You can map out the cold start. Just get a resonated exhaust, it will be fine. They even do a 'super' resonated exhaust that will make it quieter still. I run the EL manifold, no cats and a TD resonated system. It's loud enough without being too loud. But it's all down to personal preference. As other's have said, do it all once and then it's the cost of one remap. The titanium wrap around the pipe off the manifold does keep it pretty cool. You won't get any heatsoak. I would say it's more because it's close to the coolant hose than anything else.
-
The heat wrap is there to protect stuff that is close around it from heat.

Welcome aboard. Plenty of members around the midlands, though less so that the west midlands I would say. Have a look in the social meets for stuff that's pretty near to you.

OFT stage 1 review on stock car. 0-62 times measured
Lauren replied to Yavor's topic in Modifications
The EL manifold is the best option of all, it gains over the UEL, rather than losing out anywhere that I can see. The length of the primaries on the EL manifold is what I think gains the torque to a large extent. -
Changing the over pipe makes no difference at all. A lot of us have done it anyway, but it's not necessary to do it.
-
I honestly wouldn't bother with the rear speakers. In such a small cabin you don't need them, and they are totally useless anyway. A better option is a sub and an amp to take care of the low frequencies. I got rid of my rear speakers (well they are disconnected).

Just something to be aware of. The Tomei is an old design and does not tend to yield the best results. If you have to go UEL the TD option will do better. -
I think the wheels look good in that colour. They look far more distinctive over your old wheels and are different. I like that. Keep them I say.
