Welcome aboard. Any more plans afoot?

No there isn't any switch as such. Just get the stick on deflectors from Halfords etc. I've driven in Europe a lot and five times in the GT. I've yet to ever bother putting the deflectors on. Given it's summer it's not worth putting them on if you're not driving at night. I just take them with me and put them on if I need to. I haven't needed to yet!

Sounds about right for a main service. Check they do the diff oil. @Joe the 80K service is more expensive than the 60K service as it's the fuel filter that needs changing. @cropzy have you tried RRG Macclesfield?

Welcome aboard, Tamas. Do you have any plans for the car?

This is for the US market, not here. @alucardo, Toyota will never increase the power. There simply is no need with so much aftermarket stuff available.

Sorted! Just the handbrake cover to go as I have only one of them and it's on my car! -

Can you PM me on FB? Lauren Blighton. It's way easier to do it over messenger than upload to my laptop, then to Flickr then to here! The steering wheel is absolutely mint, so is the gear knob. -

I've got a steering wheel. Probably done around 30K miles, I really can't remember when I took it off but it was at least four years ago when the car was around a year to eighteen months old. It's in good condition. I have a gearknob too which came off after less than a year old. If you're interested I'll dig them out of the shed and get some pics. -
I find I get 7K miles out my rear V105's and 20K out of my fronts. I'm not sure that the PS4's will last longer, thought it was the other way round, but I may well be wrong as I haven't seen figures for PS4's.

It's just how you use it. Better to use the advanced functions sometimes. If you get no returns, go to more search options and select topic or content etcetera and you will find it generally turns up results.

Couple of funny noises going on.... rear shelf 'buzz' and chirping brakes when 'free wheeling'?

I had my rear parcel shelf sorted when my car about three months old. It seemed to be a common problem at the time. -

RRG will be able to fix your parcel shelf. They've done quite a few. As for the brakes you can get them to check the pads/discs. I only found it went away when I changed my pads. -

The rear parcel shelf is well documented. Had mine done under warranty. I'm trying to remember what they did, but I think packing it out will help stop it. Sounds like you have a bit of sintered pad that is causing the squeaking. You can take out the pad and file it down, or just ignore it. I had a pad filed down once, but it came back again, so I just ignored it. -
If you go for Yoko Advan V105's a full set will be around £100 cheaper than PS4's. Advans are easily good enough, I've been through or five sets now and probably won't bother with PS4's as I like the balance as it is.

You will get understeer if you leave the Primacy tyres on the front. Obviously if you put them one the back you will get a lot of oversteer. Not recommended. Run the same tyres all round. The car won't handle properly with this mix of tyres.
-
It's not the wheel bearing. You would hear it at speed, but you wouldn't feel it.
-
That's a good bet it's what everyone raves about, I'm sure they'll be good. I run Advan V105's which I really like. The PS4's are likely to have more grip, but it depends what you want really.
-
If the tyres date from 2012, then they will be absolutely useless. Tyres go off after a couple of years. I'd change them or get them changed before you pick them up.
-
It's tolerance and variance. Suspension geometry can change a lot even with very small differences.

This post goes back a while, but peristence pays off. Well done. £2K is a lot for insurance, but i guess you're a high risk but it's one of those things that happens when you're young. Enjoy and check out the events. There's plenty going on right now.

AFAIK you don't need a 3" exhaust unless you are going for big power which would include a bottom end rebuild. 3" will just be louder, shouldn't affect power though it won't increase it over a 2.5" on an NA.
-
It will use more fuel. Such things are inevitable.
-
A supercharger will make the exhaust louder. A turbo will make it quieter. Maybe consider that option? Why not just keep the stock exhaust? It'll be pretty quiet that way whatever you do. You will definitely notice an decrease in mpg. More power= more fuel. It has to come from somewhere. I'm not particularly impressed of your choices for a next car.

Welcome aboard. Have a good nosey about. Enjoy.
