£45 for covering the cost of postage and faffage.

I've got one that has literally only been on my car for a week. Make me an offer.
-
TD is the obvious port of call for a UEL manifold and remap. You can keep the second cat and still pass the MOT.
-
Just stick with what you have, it ain't broke. I'm sure the pads you have are more than up to the task. I run DS2500's. They do squeal slightly in day to day braking, not bad though. That doesn't bother me. They work fine for me on track. I have AP 4 pots on 330mm discs up front.

Welcome, Dave. Lurk no more! Plenty of events going on like Japfest Donington and a lot of meets down south such as Goodwood coming up, if you're feeling up to venturing out.
-
I didn't say they all had the same travel as stock units only that they don't lose damper stroke travel. I'm talking about the ones that are height adustable. /pedant.
-
It's fine Maurice, but you lost 35mm of damper stroke with a lowering spring like that. The beauty of coilovers is that you don't lose any of the damper stroke.
-
Just wiggle it a bit should go in easy enough.

If it's any help my TEIN Streetflex have not suffered any corrosion issues in four years and 75K miles! The pillowball mounts do seem to corrode though. Though these are easy to change if need be. Sounds like you met a salesman.
-
Yep pretty much. I've never worried about mine.

Summer Action Festival 2018 - Castle Combe - July 7th

Thanks for getting stuck in with the organising Vadim. I may have a job for you. -
Pump is in the tank.

Build up with heavier and heavier braking 100-60mph in 4th gear. Repeat until you can smell them.
-
Flex A is the obvious choice with hydrobumpstops. They are rebuildable too, though that is only a small bonus as they are very hardy units. If you cant stretch to them then Flex Z is the obvious winner.
-
The answer is probably as TEIN Flex A or Z certainly can go low. I've not had anyone really say they can't lower it enough on Flex. You could email Yukiko at TEIN: <koito@tein.co.uk> to be sure.

I personally think it's better to run the same pad front and rear. It's not essential though. Someone will go all internet expert in a minute and say that you need to have the same Mu, which is the friction properties of the pad.
-
Don't get Project Mu HC800's. They squeal like a bastard!
-
I found the Stoptech pads to be a lot quieter. I'm sure others will have other suggestions. You may find that you still get a little bit of squealing from whatever pad you fit. I'm running DS2500's (albeit on AP 4 pots up front), they do squeal a bit when I'm driving in light traffic and haven't really used the brakes, but it doesn't bother me as such.
-
I just don't know what you mean by the clutch 'panting'. Sure it's not just the pedal creaking?
-
Yep, that's all that's required. It really is the only way. There Aero had no mechanical differences, just a bodykit and different wheels.

I could do with some help up north. Neal has done some local events, but when it comes to car events in terms of shows I've realised it's pretty much only me. I don't go to everything. There's been a few attend the Jap2Jap and we have the Cumbria International car show this Sunday coming up, but obviously there is so much more we could do.
-
We do have some regional event organisers and I guess some do more than others. We really could do with people putting themselves forward to take this on as it would be a great help, particularly for the south. I'm doing more with the big events and some up north, but practically speaking events that I won't get to are better organised by those that frequent those events.

Michelin PS4 - full set, 100 miles, looking to trade for Primacy Set
Lauren replied to McDude's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Just to help you here, I'd ask for the date stamp of anyone swopping Primacy tyres with you. Tyres that are over 2 years old will degrade and you don't want someone's old Primacy tyres that has been sitting in the shed for five years.
