I've just been scouring that catalogue. Trouble is they don't seem to do the colour and size I want. 17x8 ET38 is proving hard to find. Can only find a close match with the TE37SL, but they are grey. I would concur completely though. There can only be one choice when it comes to wheels.

Ah Gregg so sorry we haven't managed to meet up. Been away at JAE. It's simply a personal preference though EL is technically better. Depends if you want that off beat sound. I always say that Subaru couldn't manage to come up with an EL manifold for the Impreza, maybe it was packaging issues, so we ended up with an UEL manifold. What did you go for?

Cloth seats means no heaters, it wasn't an option. The option was leather/alcantara or leather which both come with heated seats. Option price was the same. I would definitely look for a car with the heated seats. The leather/alcantara is the better option I would say as it's more grippy than the full leather and you don't have the hot/cold seat issue with alcantara. Also having heated seats is very nice, I use mine nearly all year round!

If it's any help, not a video but I wrote this back in 2003: http://www.mr2.net/trackdayqueen/heelandtoe.htm

Where is this? Link just takes me to a forum. Oh found it, bit too far from Manchester for one day. Hook Home & Garden Centre Ltd.September 10th from 11.30.Reading Road,Rotherwick,Hook,Hampshire,RG279DB I have edited your title for you. Makes it a bit more helpful. -
Welcome aboard! Look out for events and social meets. Last I heard there was a potential drive out in the Yorkshire area being organised.

Welcome aboard. Good luck with the wedding! Check out the social events.

The track car is road legal so no reason not to drive it on the road. Taking a car on a trailer is a bind, (been there done that), it's zero fun. I reckon at present keep the BRZ and enjoy the 86. When the 86 breaks you still have a decent car to drive. Sorted. It's important to keep true to the cause too.

As it's an import you'd do well to post up pics of the JDM differences and list how it differs from a UK car. For example, dash, manual air con, fogs, xenon headlights, interior trim etc. Also whether it has an LSD or not. All these things will help with the sale. There are some high spec imports about, but giving the details would certainly help. Also clearly stating it's an import in your ad would help too I think.

Opportunity To Detail With A Professional

Oh no, you've been bombed! I'm not really into detailing, but that was an interesting thread. Thanks for sharing. -
Going to be looking for a GT86 in november
Lauren replied to RichM's topic in Wanted GT86 / BRZ Cars and Parts
Don't worry about that, it's all part of your research that will help when it comes to buying your car. We're a friendly bunch and it always pays to get some feedback from those who have owned the cars and are well aware of what to look out for. -

Welcome aboard, good luck with your search for a car. Try and come to a few meets if you can as there is still a fair amount going on as we are still in summer, just. White is the most popular colour, so plenty around if that helps. -
Looking very good, Will. I know what you mean about the throttle map, it's a little too sharp when you go to pull away and especially so when the car is cold. I've adapted to it, but blimey you need a very sensitive right foot. My duller throttle map, is just too dull, so feels terrible if I use it. I know Kev had his altered, just to take the initial sharpness out of it. I didn't know the driveby at Bedford was that low. That really is low, I don't think I'd pass that. I thought Donington was tight with a 98 Db drive by, but that's a lot, lot higher than Bedford.

Consider Blyton Park. Bit more of a drive, but London isn't blessed with amazing tracks nearby. Blyton Park is far more interesting than the rather boring Silverstone National. Whilst Silverstone is good fun to race on due to the width, as a track day, I really wouldn't bother. Consider booking in a good two or three sessions of instruction, get all the basics right like steering and throttle. Stuff like this makes a big difference. Stock car is just fine. Enjoy it and have fun.

Many, many years ago a number of us took our supercharged MR2's round a load of different rolling roads for something to do. It was all the rage back in 2002. We found that with the exception of some daft portable one at a car show they were all within around 1bhp of the others. We tried around five. Quite interesting I thought. Hub dynos are different though as you measure the power at the hub only.

Not if it Steve's car it isn't. Pretty sure when I talked to Steve about it, he was making something like 230bhp (remember this is Litcheifled we're talking about) . So all the usual stuff, manifold, exhaust, air filter and remap. That isn't stock to me. I guess it's possible they could have tested it on a stock car, but Steve told me he got a good price as they used his car for testing. Hmm... All said and done, it will be interesting to see what results Mike gets as we are all very familiar with that rolling road.

Welcome aboard. Nice pics.

That's a nice gear knob. What is it made from and how much was it?
-
Heated seats were a £1600 option. They are still an option between the stock car and the Pro.
-
It's just how it feels really. If you prefer the feel of stainless steel over leather, then that's it really.

I had a very slight knocking/clonking on mine, that I noticed when going over speedbumps. Turned out that where top of the damper unit screws into the top plate, the thread had been stripped (it only has a very small thread) and there was a slight amount of movement. This was after 50K miles. I had the top plates replaced and that sorted it when I had the suspension serviced by TEIN.

a quick bit of welding I'm guessing.
-
I just CBA with it really. I'll either get round to getting it welded or more likely just sell it as is.
-
I've got a non-res Milltek that I need to get round to selling. Has the usual slight crack, so will need welding.
