He's already done the loom, he just needs to install it!
-
I don't have wires in sight in my cars. That would just look rubbish. All the wiring would need to be hidden. Mark also wired the USB port so that it would provide power for charging again which he spliced all in to the back of the feed to my head unit, so the camera is all wired into that. Well, at least it would be if he had actually fitted it.
-
He did the wiring loom thing for it about a year ago, that's as far as it's got. So I couldn't easily take over.

Good news. I really wish Mark would fit my dash cam! Only two years and still waiting! I hope all is good for Saturday. Bet you cannot wait!

Nightmare. I managed to reverse the courtesy Yaris into a Merc last week within half an hour of leaving RRG (don't ask!). Cue £500 excess to add to my bill, clearly my fault of course. Good news that the courtesy cars have the dash cam, so you should be absolved of fault. No idea if you have to pay the excess until they sort it out though.

Just to add, I did 70K miles with an Injen Induction kit, Miltek exhaust and overpipe and 2nd cat delete without remapping and had no issues. When my car in it's original spec with the Injen was on, it seemed to produce a bit more power mainly on account of leaning out the fuel slightly. It was a bonus really, but nothing to worry about.

I'm getting the TD manifold. Losing the primary cat will make it too loud, so going with a resonated exhaust, TD supplied. All made by JP in Macc. Already got a buyer for the Milltek.
-
That's Debbie's ginger by the looks of it.

You can remap it, but it will be fine as it is. Might be worth saving for a manifold first though to avoid remapping twice. I'm getting an equal length manifold and exhaust from Tuning Developments in Warrington fitted this week. Will be ditching my Milltek and getting another remap of course! I would say Tuning developments are nearer to you than anyone else. Wait till you get the new manifold. Unless you want to spend an extra £350 on another mapping session.

LOL! A tree ran into him? Blimey! It's been a busy weekend!

Read your blog, Bob. Looks like a really good trip. Well apart from whoever drove into you. Hope it's not too bad to get repaired, but it is a tricky area. The car is great for Euro trips isn't it? I'm embarking on my fourth Euro jaunt in mine next month. Can't wait to hit that autobahn.

The trouble is that not one owner that I can think of that has gone the forced induction route really does many miles. I guess the thing is that in daily driving (I'm about to tip over 100K miles in mine) the car doesn't get a hard time for the most part, so I don't see why it would be an issue, especially so if you keep it under the 300bhp mark. On the other side of the coin, an engine that produces more power will be under greater stress when it's doing so.

Welcome aboard. Plenty going on at the moment check out JAE as we are taking payments for the club stand now. Any plans for the car?

I'm starting to think it's a quirk of the car. My offside rear pad squeaks when the brakes are not on. As I've had it before and it was sintered bit of pad, I've opted not to worry about it. It is quite annoying though!
-
Get them to check the alignment I would say. Get a print out of it, maybe. This is the most likely cause. The only other thing could be a damaged balljoint or track rod end which has play so allowing the geommetry to move under acceleration. That or a worn or damaged bushing.

I expect they'll be signing up as a trader and giving some discount to members. About time really.

The steering wheel controls are on the new kouki version, so the revised 2017 model. So, your option is to buy a new model or go for having an extra stalk on the column of an older car as the older car does not have them.

Welcome aboard. Looks like you've had a fair few Toyotas there! What plans do you have for the car?

I can't see the vid for some reason. There have IIRC been two others that had issues with HSD's knocking. Edit, seen the vid elswhere. That is pretty bad. Something is loose. Check top nuts but if it's not that it's something else.

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

Seen at Geneva yesterday. Toyota C-HR
Lauren replied to Squadrone Rosso's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
When it's not your car, your choice and say is limited of course! I test drove a C-HR hybrid. I did like the electric stuff when you turn it on and well the engine doesn't. The instant torque when you accelerate for the first second is good, but I found it pretty slow and well not involving at all. I guess it's not my thing really, though I can see how it would appeal to others who do not place driving involvement and fun as prerequisite to owning a car. Liked it inside though.
