    Well hello there o/

Saw them at this price when I Googled. Was at Amber. It may be plus VAT, I didn't check tbh.
  2. I've had loads of noise checks as I'm at circuits a fair amount for the sprints. I just always ask what the reading was. Last one was Croft at 92Db so more like the 90Db I get everywhere else. Croft always seem to over-read.

    Well hello there o/

Offset poly bushes allow you to adjust the rear camber as there is no provision as stock. Adustable lower control arms allow an easier way to adjust rear camber but obviously are more expensive. The bushes are something like £30, LCA's range from £200-500 or so. I've got the offset bushes. They are a massive pain to adjust as you have to remove the bush, rotate it and re-fit everything then check the geo. Obviously once you've got through the pain of that, then it serves the same purpose as the LCA's. But labour charges might be more as it will take longer to get right.

    Well hello there o/

Around £850, for Flex A's. You'd want to add at least offset poly bushes or budget for spending on lower control arms for rear camber adjustment.
  5. 57 is probably your car number on the day, it will definitely be more than 57Db!

    Well hello there o/

Depends what you mean by mega bucks. I think stuff like TEIN Flex A's offer good value for money for what you get and you can move the handling up a level. There are quite a lot of options, but it depends how serious you want to get with it. Most go for the Flex A's. There is the option of the EDFC Active Pro go with it which I've had for over three years now. I'd say it's definitely worth it and a lot better than the cheap option of lowering springs.

    Well hello there o/

Depends how good or not you are at braking. Less is more and all that. If you are the last of the late brakers then you will get fade. They stand up okay in my experience. Aftermarket pads will bring a slight improvement, but if you do short-ish sessions of around ten minutes at a time they are fine.

North West Curry - 2nd June

Damn, I'm already booked for that night. Really sorry. Mark is about though, I'm sure he'll come.

    Well hello there o/

Welcome aboard. I'd say drive the car stock before you start playing with it. I wouldn't worry about warranty for essentials like exhausts and wheels and then suspension which becomes inevitable as soon as you put aftermarket wheels on. I'm not convinced this car needs forced induction, unless your fun is predominantly in a straight line, but others will beg to differ I'm sure. An exhaust, manifold and remap makes a big difference to how the car drives and fills in the torque gaps in the mid-range which makes the most worthwhile difference of all. Stuff like coilovers takes the handling to another level and then all the fun you can have is most definitely in the corners which is what the car is all about I think.

    EuroTrip bulbs

I got pulled for speeding back in 2013 in my GT on the Peage. They didn't bother checking any bulbs or even looking at the car. I always carry the safety vests (more of an issue in Germany etc), but that's just good practice really. Bulbs, don't bother, they never go anyway.

    Squealing HELP

It's probably a sintered bit on the pad. I had this on the rears. So you notice it squeaking at slow speeds. Got it sanded down which got rid of it, but it seems to have returned with my new set of pads. I'm still on my original wheel bearings at 97K. It's unlikely to be that.

    EuroTrip bulbs

I wouldn't bother, never have, you won't need them.
  13. Thanks for organising the meet Neal, was good to see everyone and meet a few new people as well. Nice to get the AE86 out for a run even if those Peak District roads are far too bumpy for it!
  14. Okay, wow. Managed to get both cars washed. Question is, which one do I bring?
  15. Yeah, not much chance of washing the car, though I think it's possible it may ease off late afternoon. Otherwise I will be bringing a filthy car, or maybe the AE86 which hasn't been driven since it was cleaned about a month ago so it's got moss on it and stuff!

    **CLONED GT86**

Blimey what a mess. Incredible to think this has happened. I do hope you get this sorted soon. Wonder if the other car is stolen or something?

Owner For 3 Months From Swindon

Welcome aboard, you'll see plenty of our cars at Japfest and you'll notice we all do it a bit differently, depending on what you are into. I'm hoping to make it along to Japfest so look forward to seeing you there.

    Aero Lurker...un-lurking...

Welcome aboard John. If you want to un-lurk further, there are plenty of events coming up now we're in the summer season.

    Remap

Take a day off and go to Tuning Developments.
  20. Not into bikes or scooters. It'll be a nightmare, they'll be everywhere!
  21. Sounds like a very good reason to avoid Leek!

    Deacons '86

Yeah, I know that. This is a shame as it would be very useful indeed!

That is interesting. V103's ae 300, V105's are 240. Looks like it might be a good tyre for track days, maybe if going on what Kev said of the V103's rings true. But probably not so for sprinting as a harder compound.

    What service do I need?

3rd is intermediate. Even numbers are full.

Some more Pic's of the Banana

I think if someone really wants it for the colour then they may well pay more. If you have to sell, add £500 on the price see how it goes.
