You can't avoid it in all honesty. Stoptechs were a lot better than stock for this, but really I don't think it's that bad, you get used to it after a time. I've got Project Mu HC800 pads which squeal something terrible and have eaten into the powder coat on my wheels.

I think we had three in the first year, of the club doing it, Ian. Though they were all slower than the NA cars in the N1S class! Since then we've had a lack of FI cars, though Rob has threatened to enter, so you may have some competition, though for some reason he's talking about F2 Pro, so not sure what's going on there. But yes, aim to beat the top NA cars. I think though Croft is a power circuit, so the extra power will help more than it would say at Blyton Park or Cadwell.

It's just a check on gear oil, it isn't changed. I'm still on my original gearbox oil at 96K miles.

Hi Lee, hope you're having fun and it must be run in by now! See you at Japfest, or in the hotel bar if you're staying over.

Cool, welcome aboard. We could do with entries into the forced induction class in the TSS. There generally seems to be a lack of them. I was starting to think that those with turbos and superchargers don't track their cars, or more likely don't want to be beaten by the NA's.

It's only changed at 40K or two year intervals in service though. Not at every service as such. Worth trying new batteries in the fobs for the sake of a few quid.

Thanks for organising this, Neal. Good to see you guys. We did a diagnostic on Tom's MR2 and sure enough, oxy sensor. Eggs benedict were good too. Could be a regular meet I think, we'll get this dawn drive organised as we head into the summer.

I've got a paper service book which does get stamped for my reference, but it is also recorded online, where I can access it too. This details everything that Toyota have done in respect of work on my car. A non-Toyota dealership would not be able to update the Toyota online service record.

Okay Mark is in. He's going to bring the AE86. My friends, Kay and Tom are coming in their MR2 which they only bought on Wednesday! All my fault of course. So four of us from my end! I hope this is okay. Is the parking arrangement the same as before?

Mark, you need to put a price up please. -
Guy fitting my coilovers says the car won't be road legal, should i roll/pull my arches?

Yep and they have for years. I specc'd my new car with a Milltek exhaust and Injen induction kit. They have fitted and supplied all the modifications to my car since. -
Pictures!

Pictures please. You know the rules! Also you may want to clarify are they V105's/Advan Neova?

I'm in. Mark is a maybe. I may have two friends coming that have recently acquired an MR2 which is apparently all my fault after I gave them passenger rides round Oulton back in Feb! Just awaiting confirmation from them.

I have custom Tein Flex (equivalent of the Flex A now) with EDFC Active pro. Parallel front toe, rear is 11 seconds (IIRC) of toe in. 2 degrees negative camber front and rear and EDFC Active Pro. Cost? £2400 all fitted and set up. -
Welcome aboard. Plenty of meets and socials starting now we are moving towards summer. Any plans for the car?
-
Yeah £5K or so for a turbo installed. Get used to the car as is, though that's the best way. I'm not convinced it needs a turbo or SC having driven a few and this is the case I think if your fun is in the corners rather than a straightline. I would avoid Litchfield, they don't know much about GT86's and I wouldn't touch Milltek. Sounds great but I've cracked three so far. There are tons of options for exhausts and the like though, so you're spoilt for choice. Again loads of options for lights. Many like Valentis or Toms or Buddy Club. There are new designs coming out all the time.

You don't need it. Seriously don't worry about it. I've did a track day at Donington in 2013, it was 37C. No problem with water temps, oil temps was a bit more tricky. Also done the Alps clockwise and anti-clockwise with temps in the mid 30's. Again no issue. Near Tokyo in a hired GT86 the temperature hit 49C. Again no problem.

I think it's the latter. Less is more and all that.

The best fuel you can buy on the street is Shell V-Power Nitro. It's all I run my car on. I don't use Tesco, it would be a distant second choice over Shell.

LOL, yes, that trip to Japan, coming up to three years ago now. I so desperately want to go back, but the pound/yen makes it tricky. So welcome at last.

That didn't take long!

They did. Then Stan's engine which was formally Keith's (having an HKS Stroker kit that we know is not forged) went bang, at the TSS at Anglesey last summer. So Stan had to have it rebuilt not using HKS parts of course.

CE28's. Good choice! Now those are nice and crazily light wheels. I'm guessing about 6.5kg per wheel or so?
