    Keith's Trip to Dubai 2017

Thanks for sharing. That was some write up! Makes more sense with the pics. Looks like an epic experience driving Yas Marinas, though I guess it's always going to come with the instructor approach to billies and not letting you really drive the car. Still very cool though. The Ferrari experience sounded like a mixed bag, but plenty to see by the looks of it. That shopping centre is bonkers, sort of looks like a lesson in extravagance for the sake of it. I must admit, given my loathing for places that are hot (though I hear from a friend who lives there that January is comfortable weather) and dusty and the whole class divisions there, do put me off somewhat. But it was interesting to read your thoughts nonetheless.

New owner .. well will be in March 2017

Not too much longer to wait though 50 days seems like a long time to me! But you've managed thus far, so you'll get there. How do you feel about getting what is now the old spec, with the new spec now being current? I guess we haven't seen any new spec BRZ's yet, but obviously they're in production.

New GT86 owner - sort of!

Welcome aboard, hope you enjoy the car. I'm waiting for my dealer's demo car to be run in before I review it. Interested to see what I think of the additional chassis strengthening. Just for your notes, the stock car (excepting the Primo which around two people bought) has everything this does including cruise control etc as standard. The only additions in the new car are steering wheel controls and of course the changes to the dash display.

Sounds interesting and lots of pics, but I can't see any of them, unfortunately.

    New BRZ owner

Congrats on the purchase and a very good way of getting to know the car round the 500. You are well placed for meets. It's still the middle of winter so there is a limit to what is happening, but keep an eye on the events and social meets section for stuff coming up.

    Milltek weld cracked

@CGR, I suspect he'd prefer a warranty replacement, unless you're offering one for free? That's not good, Mike. I'm wondering how long my fourth replacement will last! Milltek= never again.

Getting price gouged help me pls

To be fair, 1 years NCB is nothing and your age is going to hugely count against you. I can scarcely believe that you got it for £850 in the first year. I guess all you can do is shop around. It's why being young is so over-rated. Good luck with finding a better quote, but like other's have said it may well be that you got lucky in your first year. If you've changed jobs that may have an impact. As a social worker for example I reckon it whacks my premium up, but it doesn't matter that much as I've been driving nearly 29 years and have full NCB, so it's never going to be too expensive really whatever I drive.

    Adjustable rear control arms

I'm a bit stuck in the same position. I wouldn't use Japspeed parts as they are too budget. I love the look of the SPL ones, but the price! The Swave/Summit ones are well used and I don't know of any problems. But I baulk at fitting Taiwanese parts for some reason. There is Cusco which are mid-range IMO, but higher on price than mid-range. I really want the SPL ones, but just trying to stomach the price. I'd be interested too in what others say. I've ran offset bushed for three years and once set they are fine. But they are a real pain to setup. Took RRG nearly four hours to adjust them last time as everytime you have to remove the bushes to adjust them. It's a royal pain and being accurate takes a lot of guesswork and trial and error.

    Hello all

Good stuff on the upgrades. No hanging around then! Plenty of options when it comes to suspension upgrades.

    Regional Organisers

I should add, that I'm happy for help in the Manchester and NW area. Neal did a great job of organising some drive outs over the Peak District and pub meets. We will look at doing more of those over the coming months.

    Hello

Welcome aboard. Very few people have fitted the Crawford blocks which lengthen the intake runners. They increase torque in the mid-range and the expense of top end power. I'm not convinced they are necessary or worth it, especialliy if you like to rev out your engine. A remap with the TD manifold will make a big difference. Coilovers are well worth it, but choose wisely and you can improve the handling and the ride quality. Many of us have gone down this route.

Welcome aboard Jordan. Enjoy the car. I do hope this one lasts a bit longer! Nice job on the 'boudoir' interior spec.

    Tyres to suit 17x8 rims?

I don't think there is much of a downside if you're not driving it that hard. I would notice the understeer with a wider tyre on the rear as I've tried this on other people's cars. I would always go same size all round for handling balance.

    Lauren's GT86 100K miles and onwards

Okay had a quick look, it's pretty obvious. On the driver's side at the rear of the top cam cover end plate it's dead easy to spot just from looking over from the driver's side wing.

    Pub & Meet 27th December - Stoke

Okay, I'm going to make it. Mum and Stepdad just left for London, so I'm free again. See you all in a bit.
  21. For all the basics it looks good. I didn't try the vids but read the text. I think this will be useful for beginners.

There are plenty of us running around with no issues. It's still covered under warranty, reckon put it behind you and enjoy the car.

Mine happened intermittently, so it's probably that. I didn't even look at it. Just booked it in and sure enough....

    Lauren's GT86 100K miles and onwards

Car went into RRG for warranty work on the 20th December. I had been smelling oil on occasion for around the last month so figured it was the cam plate leaking. It's got to 93K miles, so not bad going but I wonder if this is an issue which will affect pretty much everyone at some point.
