  1. Exciting stuff! Well, the head unit (think this is pretty true of both) is not very good, so if you like your music don't go for sat nav as it's cheaper or the same price to buy a very good head unit indeed which will have sat nav on it and you will get better sound to boot of course as well as DAB etc.The leather/alcantara or full leather is absolutely worth it for the heated seats. Couldn't live without them.

  2. Sounds good. :+: I admit, I've not noticed a rattle from my glovebox, but maybe having a fire extinguisher in it helps. I have my boot floor and door panels covered in dynamat which was put in when I had my audio install done. I admit though I never noticed any vibrations from the back before that though.

  3. Alex, see if you can make the karting on the 9th November, that will be a good meet. How have you managed to make the rears last nearly 30K? I only managed 14K which did have two trackdays in it I guess, but even so, you've arguably done more than that!Still glad you are still enjoying it. :+: I'm a bit over 22K now and still :lover: it.

  4. If you want the best setup' date=' which I totally agree should be the priority, I suggest it would be good for the forum to try and get one of the Japanese peformance magazines to do a 3 way back to back test of the current 3 options. As Fensport's road car is an auto, i would be quite happy for my car to be used as the turbo test platform :)[/quote']Would be far better to get them tested in a mag like EVO, I reckon. That's where Adrian could do with taking his, but agreed, needs to be a manual really. I've got nothing against the Japanese magazines like Jap Performance and Banzai, but I don't read them these days. I think a lot more of us and other potential buyers subscribe to EVO though. I just think you'd reach more of your target market that way.

  5. Hello stranger! Great stuff about coming to the meet. Will be cool to see you around a bit more again! :+: BTW check the events section I've posted about next Saturday's mini-meet and inevitable curry! :)And I'm sure Richard is loving that Aygo GT he's got really.

  6. Okay, Neil the new owner of Richard's TRD is doing a trackday at Oulton Park on Saturday 26th October. This has pre-booked for a while and he's out in a BaT Caterham. He should have his car by mid-week though. The general idea is to pop down trackside for a natter then onto curry for later. Venue has yet to be decided for curry, so I'm open to ideas. I know the southern lot have their own meet going on and I don't envisage this would be a biggie, but it would be nice to welcome Neil to the club of course! :)Let me know if you're interested.

  7. So I heard earlier today! :tongue:Still it's gone to a very good home. Tis a long standing friend of mine and fellow Toyota enthusiast. I think he'll be coming out to meets and stuff, so we'll all get to see the car again. :)Good news on the new order, Richard. Look forward to seeing the bits you are going to put on it. :)

  8. Now this is getting interesting. I'd be very interested to see how Litchfield's rotrex set up delivers having driven Abbey's twin scroll set up. I'm guessing the power delivery of the rotrex will be more peaky than that of the twin screw set up. But, that could be more in keeping with the power delivery of the standard car, which may well suit it very well.

  9. It would be fascinating to have some head to head dyno figures alongside some real world driving comparisons for these differing approaches. Not that I have any intention any time soon of getting either - besides, who needs a supercharge whine when you can have a HPFP chirp for free :)Just out of interest, is it theoretically possible to get both systems (turbo and super-c) installed and working at the same time in the same car? I only ask becuase there are production line combos out there already aren't there - the VAG 1.4 tsi for example?

It's way too complicated, I'd advise anyone thinking about it to can that idea. It's just simply not worth the effort and the added complication. Better to pick one or the other. :+:

  10. We'd go for the PS4 as Mark loves Sony and we've had all the previous generations. Thing is all we use the playstation for is for playing blurays and the occasional use of vidzone (though the recent addtion of adverts has put me off it). Is it worth it for that? 5 days of playing GTA5 and now I'm bored with it, tells me I'm not much of a gamer.
