Got it, finally! -
Okay this might work!

You could always do what I did and use the spare wheel recess and lose no boot space at all:150127_10151307395656467_1047062632_n.jpgSorry, just cannot get images to work.

Wow, looks impressive!

Good work! I will post mine up once I can get the pics to work okay. 13.5" is a huge sub. Mine is a 12" JL 600W and it's total overkill, though I really love it. Mine is a full-ish depth one as there is enough depth really, though it does sit flush with the boot floor. I'm guessing you will be fiberglassing and making an enclosure, or is there something off the shelf?
-
Definitely.but is it worth £70?
-
I'd just go to Toyota and order it from there. I'm going to have to get some as I scraped the underside of the front spoiler on a kerb yesterday.

Excellent pics, looks like a great day out. Will put it in my diary for next year I think!

I got given one by my dealer too. It really is an excellent book, known as the 'GT86 bible'. I think of it as uber coffee table fodder.

Ooh hello, good to see you here!

1004726_10151410132656467_1036833215_n.jpgIf this doesn't display then I did post this up on the homepage. But cutting to the chase, I'm very interested to see what they think about it. I know their initial impressions were that they were not over awed by their first drive, though the logic of giving them an auto initially was a bit dissapointing. So, given it's common knowledge for EVO to use their fast fleet cars in their tests a bit more I will be very intersted to see what they think over a longer term. I've just clicked over 10K miles in my car over 4.5 months, so I have reasonable view on what it's like to live with a GT86 day to day.I'm also a long time reader of EVO. I started with Fast Lane in 1984 and on and off I've always had that mag. I do think that for the most part they are on the money and I admit EVO have helped me discover a few cars over my driving history. A DC2 Integra Type-R being the highlight so far.So, I look forward to the monthly updates! -
I could be persuaded!

Love that! Are the vents actually different on the other side?

the difference in the suspension was because the Toyota was softer for the mass market (women and older folk) and the Subaru was more hard core' date=' so it should be better maybe?Having driven both i cant tell any difference myselfbut 12 places below the GT86 what a crock of shit.[/quote']The difference in suspension set up was because Toyota and Subaru wanted their cars to handle differently. Toyota tested the car and wanted to make sure it can drift so harder springs at the rear softer at the front. Subaru given they haven't made a RWD car before went for the opposite option It would not be correct to say that the Subaru is more hardcore just because it has stiffer front springs. If anything it oversteers less and people tend to view cars that oversteer as more hardcore. Interesting that you drove both, couldn't tell any difference and now think that the Subaru is more hardcore..... :pMaybe don't worry about what Autoexpress say. Does it really matter? -
Ooh hello!
-
To be fair, firmer does not automatically mean better. It's not as simple as that! The impression I get is that the Subaru is not as tail happy, so it is not the same and that's why it's rated differently.

Happy Birthday Alec, 50 today! Enjoy! xxx :32 (1):

Any thoughts on what you might go with, Rob?

There are a lot of ways to change things. For example you can use a swear filter to automatically change one thing to something else. I've done that before years ago on IMOC. Reading PM's is a faff but perfectly possible.

I think he's trying to be the mature gent these days....

LOL! Wait till you hear mine through the tunnels under and over the Alps! :32 (12):Resistance is futile!

Time for an upgrade!

What we need is to be able to link to external pics. That'd solve it.

Hey Ian,. good to see you here. In respect of your mod, there is a part of me that likes the '86' logo, so undecided!
My Wikkid sound install
in ICE/Electrical

Okay, I wasn't happy with the stock setup and the JBL wasn't quite what I wanted either. So, I decided to take the plunge and go for a professional install. I chose a local guy in Macclesfield who has had a shop doing this for over 35 years. As it turns out he knows his stuff. He used to go those mad ICE competitions in the states where you have to play a tone for five seconds and he met the guy who hand makes Focal speakers in France. In all honesty, I really think I treated myself with this, but life is short and it was another thing I had to tick off on my list.Apart from the head unit which chose myself, everything else was specified by the installer. I just gave him a budget and an idea of the kind of music I like. I love lots of bass so a prerequisite was that it had to deliver in that department.I went for an Alpine W925R, which is the one with DAB.Focal KR2 165sHertz 950 5/3 channel ampJL 12" sub (sorry can't remember which one).Audison Bit10 DSPThen Focal KR2 165s which are a two way coaxial which are kevlar:Corresponding tweeters:Front speakers and crossover:Car in the workshop:Audison Bit10 Digital Sound Processor.
