Thanks @sam534 that's what I needed! Is that 75mm backing plate = 3"? And will these smaller pads fit with it and DAS6 Pro? One last question, what about applying wax? You might say you're not a pro, but that info was very helpful, now about me and basics, let's just say that at least I understand what all these things are, but not how to use them...yet

What's the difference between different coloured pads? And how many will I be using? Are there any other accessories that are a must have when you use a polisher?

Worth checking for this: https://video.citnow.com/vtdFvXjHHWZ it manifests itself whilst turning, when you straighten the steering wheel, the car would still pull towards left/right and need to adjust the wheel again. quite dangerous. also can hear that knocking noise when it happens. also - squeaky clutch
-
I've been having the squeaky clutch problem for a while and no amount of grease fixes it for a longer while. Took the car to a local garage, they said fixing this would require getting to the clutch and since the car clocked 50k miles already they suggested replacing the clutch while doing so. Now, I've been "riding the clutch" quite a lot before and only just recently got rid of this bad habit, so I'm worried I've worn out the clutch release bearing and I've seen enough horror stories of what that leads to I'm convinced I should look into this before it's too late. I already bought new clutch kit with a release bearing. Now the technician mentioned I'll need a pin and a bearing arm as well, but I'm not sure what these parts are and where to source them. Can anyone familiar with the problem tell me what they are and where to order from?

Just to make it clear - I'm not actually going to buy that velox fork, I'll try to find a new OEM one

@Lauren clutch will need replacing at some point regardless, so might as well look into fixing the noise. The "bearing arm" would that be this part? http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/velox-billet-clutch-fork-2013-ft86.html I know that's not OEM, but I need to have some idea what I'm looking for.

Can anyone tell me what the difference between these 3 is? Is it just fitment and car model compatibility?

Where’s the TRD front? And does the rear go over the standard bits? Yours doesn’t look quite the same

Chillismokes 86 Detailed & Sealed (Gtechnic)

have you ever tried removing scratches, chips or fading? -
Somebody suggested to me that the best option is to make a glass claim on your insurance, as that doesn't affect your premiums and have a specialist company take care of that. But I don't think I trust some company like Autoglass

@rob275 could you do a little more detailed write up on how you take care of windshield, windows and lights? I'm interested in learning about that -
Seconding the question about speakers. Also, are these the door speakers? You didn't upgrade the front ones, rear or subwoofer?

Hi people, I've bought my GT86 this year, second hand and its front bumper is riddled with holes. http://imgur.com/a/Mh26l The most affected area you can see on the picture. My question is - how should I go about fixing that? First option - I'm just starting in car detailing, so I could try doing it myself, provided I find detailed instructions on how to do it. I've got most of supplies already - polish, different grit sanding paper, wax. Just need to get the correct paint from Toyota. Second option - leave this to a professional detailer, limit myself to smaller paint corrections like swirls etc. Thrid option - Respray. With that one though, I'm afraid they will try to charge me for doing more panels than necessary - e.g. spraying the bumper but also the hood and wheel arches to blend in. I'd like a nice looking car but I also like my cash in my pocket, so it can get spent on mods for example Can someone experienced give some advice?

Shi#... I feel for you mate. I still want to fix it on mine, I think I'll ask for some quotes first
-
Thanks rob275. If I want to respray it, do you think they'll charge me to spray bumper and all 3 connecting panels?
