What Car 2015 Ford Mustang review
keelerad replied to Captain Duff's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
Sounds like a real drivers car ! Hairy arsed SLJ's only I think "Another area that disappoints is the electronic power steering. The Mustang comes with four different driving modes – Normal, Sport +, Track and Wet/Snow – and three different steering settings. In Comfort it's fingertip light, but devoid of any feel and inconsistently weighted, while Sport adds some much needed resistance, it offers very little information back through the rim about what the front tyres are up to, so you are often forced to make mid-corner adjustments to try and feel how much grip is available. - See more at: http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/ford/mustang/2015-ford-mustang-review/1313913?utm_medium=EMAIL&utm_campaign=Enews%20Bulletins&utm_content=article1_readmore&utm_source=20140924#sthash.8pNNqIHu.XINYnoOo.dpuf" -

Looking at a Mustang rather than an 86 is like looking at a Builders Hairy Bum crack compared to a nice pert female bottom! Alec -
Any Left hookers about ? Access to a LHD 86/BRZ required
keelerad posted a topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Had an enquiry to the club from a UK manufacturer who wants access to a LHD version for a few hours to check some measurements. Anyone aware of anyone in the UK (preferably midlands/East anglia area) who has a left hooker Alec -

keelerad replied to keelerad's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I've messaged Howie to see if he's interested, if anyone else knows any 86/BRZ lefties let me know and I'll forward them Matt's e-mail if they are interested Alec -

Wasn't there an American that was bringing his FRS across ? It was an e-mail from Matt at Cosworth, they want to check for brackets for the Supercharger for the LHD market -

Personally I've spent my limited money on driving the car and trying to get better just using it how it is than spending money on changing it My upgrades have been a K&N air filter (got for free from Rich) Red painted calipers (engine enamel £8 from Halfrauds) EBC yellow stuff pads front (£70) and rear (£50) and a rear set of poverty spec disks (£55) after eating the OEM ones at Oulton Park a white line gear shift bottom mount (about £35) bonnet struts (from Tarmac Sportz, can't remember how much) and the ultimate performance mod the Grimmspeed 86 logo oil filler cap (about £70 quid when we bought 10 at once) I have also spent about £300 quid twice on winter wheels and tyres, first set on used Scoobie Imprezza 16" Alloys (but they are just about shot now did Winter 2012 and 2013, probably did about 12k on them including a track training day at Blyton) then I bought Pitmans off him Alec

Nice looking kit the Ohlins
-
I have chosen not to do it, doesn't matter who nominates me, not happening. Dislike the whole idea of being told what to do by an internet viral (sorry Rich but it's a matter of principle) Alec

Bought Will's PS3 off him to play this, think I still prefer Forza 4 and I have a wheel for both Alec
-
Very little difference to how they drive (supposedly slight diff in rear damping?), Toyota gets better OEM stereo and I prefer the passenger side dash in the Toyota rather than the silver plastic in the BRZ

Agreed Rob, be your own man rather than just doing it because others are, but well done for getting wet Keith

You save money and get a wider choice with 16's as well from http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/search-size/ 16" = 204 to choose from, they recommend Nokian W Plus 205/55 R16 91 T £64.10, most expensive £118 17" = 33 to choose from, they recommend Toyo Snowprox S953 215/45 R17 91 H £84.53, most expensive £151 For the same type Conti wintersport TS830P with 91H load/speed rating : 16"=£85.72 17"=£132.90 Depends if you're worried about the look

Or you could go rally style like I did 16" Imprezza wheels £38 for the set, 4 Avon ice tourings about £320, http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/798-21st-october-2012-winter-wheels/ work just great, see my vid here, deliberately went down the un-salted un-ploughed b roads in the Peak District. At about 8'50 the delay is the other cars turning round as they couldn't make it up the hill out of Brassington that the lorry and I go up, I get to overtake it at the end (on snow) and it was not dodgy or scary in the slightest, would not have considered doing that on normal tyres. In some of them rather than "Trueno" Takumis AE86 has "Toreno" on it (almost Starsky's car ) but later its a TRUENO and Ikitani has a "NISNO" shirt Probably some legal type got involved Alec
