What on earth makes you think I want to 'gawp'? And the car wouldn't be my first choice..... Spec K -
Har! Decisions, decisions.... It's a pity no-one has tried 'vignetting' from red to black... or orange to black, would look awesome... Spec K

Have you looked at the Fensport website? Club members get a discount... Spec K

Could you identify the tyres Baggsy's using from the indents on her rear....? I wonder if she'd let me find out... <slap!> Spec K -
I use DS2500 pads all the time with Stop Tech rotors. New fronts fitted last Thursday (before Snetterton). Squeal arose on way home from Snet, leading/trailing edges chamfered, squeal disappeared. If the noise returns again it's a simple job to remove the pads and re-chamfer... again, Coppercote helps. Another tip - look at your rear pads, they can bind on a small machined lip where the rotor and the bell join. If this is the case - as mine was - just bevel off the bottom of the pads.... this stops a 'graunchy' noise which is a similar sound to metal-on-metal when pads have worn out.. Spec K

Nigel - don't walk under any ladders, it's not a good time to push your luck, I reckon... (If you don't laugh you'd cry.. bummer..) Spec K

Steve - Steveoexige is going forged over the winter, I believe. Spec K

I agree with Jay on this - Cosworth are talking about supplying just the internal bits for self-build or a new short block.... the standard (nitrided) crank is well up for increased power but if you're considering much more than Adrian's running at present a billet crank must be a better bet. I've done 30k miles on the standard stuff and, if I go forged with upped boost, I will definitely look at a new crank. It's a pity that Cosworth are proving so unreliable in regards to availability. Yep - it looked good at the GPRM Day.... well done to Jay. I agree the centre support will make a big difference, both in looks and I reckon in aero performance - if it's flexing downwards in the middle it has to be doing something... Jay - I reckon a ducktail would add a little more to the overall visual effect. Might even improve the aero as well... Spec K

I get a message display telling me I've got a new text message and would love to be able to read it off the screen... that's with T&G paired to a Galaxy 5... Spec K

Aww c'mon, Lauren.... who doesn't want to burn off a Porsche 911T on the road....?  (I see that Rollcentre Racing have got their 24hr Britcar GT86 up for sale.... hmmm....) Spock...

Horses for courses, Nige... is it to be a weekend racer or just an extremely fast road car...? Adrian is pulling 420+bhp on standard rods/pistons at 1.1bar boost, on 9:1 c/r you could be looking at a potential 550bhp on 2.0bar.. mebbe a bit more on the right fuel.. Either way, you will need to consider larger injectors, hi-flo fuel pump, oil cooler/deep sump, I suggest. And a diff oil cooler should not be ignored if you're looking for sustained trackday use.. I think Lauren's lag concerns can be mainly overcome by astute mapping. Mark at Abbey has knowledge of building/developing LFA's l/c engine, so is well worth listening to.. the new ver.4 AVO turbo from Adrian looks good for the upper horspower figures.. ... then there's the Cosworth conversion to consider... if and when it makes the starting blocks.. Matt, welcome to the friendliest, most laid-back (but in-yer-face wibble) Forum.... The BRZ is cheaper, with slightly different spec., so ask the question of your preferred Scoobie dealer - "..what is the difference between the two..?". If he doesn't know the differences then walk away 'cos it's the wrong dealer for you.. err, unless he offers you a massive additional discount, of course! I dunno where you are in the country but there are two prime dealers for GT86 that I would personally recommend. RRG group - buy it at Macclesfield, ask for Rich, you've got a top one.. and Listers - buy in Cheltenham - ask for Tim, he's wet his knickers on this model.. (.. thinking about it.... we, as a 'Forum', have significant input in guiding/directing possible customers like Matt to a preferred dealer... mebbe we should start a "comparison" chart?) SpecK

Matt, no need to qualify your choice because these things are so personal... ... choosing your exhaust is like choosing a wife, if it barks at you you've got to live with it... Spec K

I liked it because, exceptionally, mankind's manipulation of nature has proved beneficial... .... roast bambi, anyone..? Spec K

I like this... Spec K

Agreed, GTB. I had the first H&S exhaust prototyped/fitted to an auto box car, sold it to Kristov4 when I went 3" AVO and he loves it... a proper exhaust for a n/a car... Spec K

Mark, that's gotta be 300+ if you've got 262 at the hubs... and that is an impressive torque curve (but the "ditch glitch" is still there...) What fuel are you running and what boost? Is it worth considering octane booster ? - there's mixed feelings out there. I've looked into it and I'm tempted, for next year, to use 108 octane fuel with customised 'map'. There are significant benefits. But only when I feel it's appropriate, like when I'm late collecting my pension, or the TSS spider lover/ masher from Japan are shafting me on track, (as usual...) ..hrrmph... Spec k -
Yep..... Cris turned up but he's in training, ran 30 miles in eighteen minutes to join us but we'd done a bunk to avoid paying the bill... ...hehe.... Spec K
