Agree with Pitman's comments - we got a passenger ride with Richard at Prestcott - the sound and acceleration of the LFA are incredible ! (... but won't be a patch on the FT1.... har!) Rich - I don't think I'd call a bit of yellow tape around the steering wheel centre point an 'accessory'... Spec K

The EU Commisioners, not content with getting rid of lbs, bushels, yards, feet and inches, have now introduced legislation banning our coinage... ... it's no longer acceptable to describe an essential visit as 'spending a penny..' .. in future please refer to 'euronating'.... Spec K

Ed's the first Uker with the forged pistons/rods, as far as I know... but I'm sure he ain't gonna be the last. As soon as I've 'tweaked' my autobox.... Spec K

Ian - it looks bl**dy brilliant, but does it actually work...? 100mph around a roundabout without, then with it on... please.. Spec K

James - Lauren is running same Yokos as you (I think)... probably worth asking her what pressures suit. Mind you, she likes drifting it, so is likely to be running a tad higher than I would prefer. Primacys run at 35psi hot... I would start any alternative tyre at 30 cold (32-34 hot) and work down. As I've said, I prefer 28psi cold/32psi hot but I don't drift.. Spec K

Good luck Smudge... (blurry idiot... ) Spec K

Godammit! .. wandered off to bank a few cheques at lunchtime today, turned left at roundabout and the n/s/f went 'pfft..' (note to LFA = Charley Browns..) I managed to limp to my 'regulars' A&S Tyres who are only a couple of hundred yards away.. blurry nail through tread/sidewall interface... yeah, it could be repaired for road/MOT pass use but no way for TSS.. They had a new 245x45x17 Palm Sport 3 in stock! Hooray! Price? - 150 sovs. Boo! I beat up on the kid who fitted/balanced it - "OI! I want it fscking microgramme right, you muppet! I'm pulling 140mph on Sunday!" (I must apologise to him next time I visit...but I was in grumpy mode..) I'd only had this tyre on for 200 miles, I am gutted. Such is my misfortune at the moment. ... what next? I'm guessing the 747 Jumbo transporting my new gearbox from the US is highjacked.. my modified sump is mistakenly sent for scrap... Superpro bushes are declare carcinogenic... TEIN go into receivership... Fensports ramp is condemned... they'll quadruple speeding fines... .. I've still got one bullet left... heh! who shall I use it on....? (.. and if anyone has the uttter gall to make jokes about a 'cereal' misfortune of events I shall dump a gallon of used sump oil on their head..) ... it only happens to ME! Spec K

Hiya and welcome, Ourphil..! Herts, hmm? Not far.... there's a few of us close by... there will prolly be a local meet in the near future. If you fancy another trackday there's a crowd of us going to Blyton Park (North Lincs) on Saturday 19th July (it's the day before the third round of the Toyota Sprint Series). There's a 'thread' in our Events section, or you can get full details from the Javelin website - www.javelintrackdays.co.uk Spec K

Lower? No - not if you intend to use as street. I won't go into it but 'lowering' on the standard suspension geometry is now under review. Better to expand - look at what Toyokid has done. Brake pads are up to you. There are as many recommended types on this Forum as there are men's deodorant. Try tyre pressures. If you are running F1 Eagles at 35psi you will skate in any conditions - they will go to 37/39psi warm. Might as well drive on solid rubber.. set at 30 cold for road use.. see if you feel a difference.. then try 28psi cold (my preferred). Teg - you were *TOLD* (on this and the dark side Forum) that 18" rims were debatable. You are not a 'track bunny' looking to put bigger brakes in the void. So why go this route? Give it 12 months and there will be a shedload of 18" rims/tyres for the GT86 dumped on Ebay.. they do not work, in my opinion. Perverse. Spec K

"Hello Mutekis... how are you today? Having a fun time..?" Ooops.. .wrong torque... Spec K

Jamie, this is merely a comment, probably as the piccies don't do justice to the looks... your wheels/tyres look pretty big and 'sticky-outy' and could be throwing up a lot of garbage. Have you thought about fitting mudflaps? Spec K

Lauren - what would really interest me would be to find someone out there (or anywhere!) who has done some proper aerodynamic research on a GT86 rear wing/spoiler... substance over form... Spec K

Yep... welcome Carla, look forward to meeting up, especially in Herts.. ... err, you're not into 'pink accessories' , are you..? Faith has a world copyright... Spec K

Welcome Adam... I reckon it was Dave (Pitman) you met at Lydden - a genial colonial, spoke Afrikaans, yes? There's quite a few of us in the South East, frequently get together at the Grasshopper, somewhere near Westerham in Kent. If you fancy a trip next Sunday come up to Woodbridge (Suffolk) - it's the second round of the Toyota Sprint Battle ^w/ Series. Spec K
