HNY to you all from me. For myself it's been a most enjoyable 2013 and I've no doubt that 2014 will be even better. I know that I (personally) have concentrated on taking part (and in a small way organising) trackday/national events but I would like to see more of our local 'social' events as well. To me this is the bread-and-butter of an enthusiast's Club and a monthly meet-up for North London/East Anglia, supplemented by the Kent Konnection, would be great fun and an easy-going place to greet new Members. Same idea goes for every area and, with Fatrab's proven ability to organise a national 'social day' we would be catering for the full range of Member's interests. Err.... well, interest in cars anyway.... Spec K

Teg, I was referring to the steering wheel, not your road wheel alignment... where they put a 'yoke' under the pedals, centre your steering wheel precisely and then clamp the two together, then adjust the track rod control arms to bring the front wheels into alignment... ...thus, if your steering wheel is centred you are travelling backwards in a straight line... mind the post!! Just a technical 'hint' - if you're planning to go K-Sport front rotors/8-pot calipers you will need the 15mm Eibach hubcentric spacers (not 10mm) if using the standard rims. Spec K

Teg - check you steering wheel centering. If the spokes are a tiny bit out of centre it can give you the effect you are experiencing.. Spec K

I did a trip to Aylesbury yesterday... a lot of flooding in Bucks and boy, do those winters work well in the extreme wet! I was seeking out the puddles to cool 'em down... ... a downside is that they seem to pick up an awful lot of road muck and 'ping' it out into the wheel arches. I reckon it must have something to do with large grooves and sticky rubber... sounds like you've gone through a gravel trap.. Spec K

Nearly came to grief today on 'winters'... my regular A12, with some silly twat in a Focus RS trying to outdrag me at 100+.. .. I went into an easy flat out curve.. gentle power... and all four (winter) tyres let go at 110mph, TC is blinking its head off.. Focustwat laughed his head off as he swept past me.. F1 Eagles go back on tomorrow. I felt so humiliated... Spec K
