    Fensport Avo Turbo No 9 :) Stage 2 :)

Whats the main difference between Stage 2 and Stage 3?

Xrkc6x's Icy --> AVO Turbo Stage 3 and more

I maybe able to come along on the 13th. Won't be having any work done but would be good to see your car Chris! Will see what my work permits.

    Air Filters

I've had they K&N filter for 6 months and then tried the HKS filter (After I won it). Can't tell any difference between the two power wise or sound wise. K&N is supposed to be slightly better at filtration and has a lifetime warranty. It also looks better built. Rubber surround rather than plastic. I'll probably put my K&N back in soon. Will have an HKS one for sale. Cheap if anyone wants it.
  4. Done a couple of mods over the last few days, both were a little bit impulse due to deals not to be missed! I was in the market for some new wheels and had my heart set on some Rays 57Xtreme 18" staggered kit. But was looking at over £1800 with tyres! And I didn't want to be spending that on wheels! And I also didn't really want to loose the feel and fun factor that my GT86 has currently. Managed to pic up a 'like new' set of Rota GRAs 17" x 7.5 e45. With new tires for a bargain price! So went for it! Fitted them onto my car and thought i'd try it out with the tyres they came with. They came with Budget Falken 912 tyres. Cheap tyres but get good reviews. I wasn't too worried about what tyres came with them anyway.... Gave the car a test drive and came to the conclusion these tyres were too grippy and didn't have enough progression for the GT86! They were great grip wise but they skipped a little bit, much bumpier ride and when they let go they went big time! Not progression or knowing when they were about to go. Would be perfect for track use where you want solid grip and not sliding action! Cornering speed was great, handling was good but I like the primacy feel! I like the back letting go and the progression feel the Primacy's give! So went to the tyre centre and had primacy tyres put on them! Felt much nicer and brilliant control! I can say Toyota know what they're doing when they put the primacy tyres on! Too much grip ruins the fun factor and the feedback they give! For some people they may have loved the Falkens! If you want solid grip then great. I could have got used to it. And the tyres were brilliant. But not what I was looking for! May give them another go in the summer in warmer weather! The second mod this week was the full HT Autos Lip kit, front lip, side skirts and back lips...... Once all fitted with the Rota's and a -30mm coilover drop, it looked mean! I'll probably also get 10mm hub-centric spacers just to bring out the wheels a little more. I would have gone for a lower offset personally if I was choosing new wheels. But with this bargain deal they couldn't be missed! Also added a little tribute to Paul Walker...

New wheels and side skirt lip kit.

Probably keep them gold for now. Don't want too much gold going on. I did think about changing the Cobra Sticker to the same Gold. Currently really like the look of it so will keep it as is for now. Winter at least.

New wheels and side skirt lip kit.

I'm pretty sure you can feel that when trying to break traction. Seems smoother. They've also filled my tyres with Nitrogen.... Either way I like the feel and still a lover of the Primacy's. (Ducks for cover)

New wheels and side skirt lip kit.

Took it out last night to a meet in Great Yarmouth and was fantastic! It seems to let go in a much nicer fashion and more progressive! Once it was sliding it also seemed to be less bumpy and much more controllable. I'm not one for putting it sideways around roundabouts... Lauren. ... But I experiment out of car parks and where there is enough space! I loved the feel of it last night! Not sure if it's down to the roads being colder / less grip, It was dry and about 6Degrees. Or the fact i'm now running a slight stretch on the tyres? Does a stretch have any effect on the tire performance / progression? Notice most drifters have stretched tyres... I assumed it was just for rediculous looks?

TRD Aero Fins - Xmas Pressie!

Is the white a good enough match with the pearl white of the car? I think if it looks like they've tried to match the paint but it doesn't quite match it may look wrong. White would be the safest option though! And will look awesome with any combination! Can't wait to see them on!

    Dynamic suspension

I won't be spending £2k on coilovers! But if I can get teh controller to work with my Mesiter Rs then i'll be up for the controller kit!
  12. GT86Jay

    Dynamic suspension

About £500 for the entire controller. You can get an older version which is basically the control but without the GPS / G-force stuff. You can just adjust damperning from inside the car! You can get that for about £180 - £200. But only compatable with Tein coilovers! Well over £1500! I might get the cheaper £180 controller just to see if there is a way to adapt them onto standard coilovers!
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8tzhWPhYvE#t=335 This looks interesting! You can take the GT86 to a real race track and record all of the data and then play it back in GT6! Or even race your real lap times etc!

    Dynamic suspension

I've been looking at these keith! You can get the controller for around £300. Again annoying as it has to be fitted to Tein Coilovers! Which happen to be the most expensive out there! I was going to have a look and get one to try fit onto default 'coilover adjuster knobs'. Some sort of grip. Again I do like the idea! Long motorway journeys, make it soft. Get onto a back road and turn them all up! Had exactly the same thoughts as you! When funds allow I may purchase one and have a play! I doubt it would be impossible to adapt the tein fitment for other coilovers!
  15. I'll have one! 1. Will300 - Size Medium. 2. Lauren - Ladies Small. 3. Kristov4 - XXXL 4. GT86Jay - Medium

    ECUTEK BRZ/GT86 End user software

*You can now blow your own engine up* Is there much benefit to upgrading if you don't really understand mapping of cars?
  17. A tune with a stock exhaust will still be beneficial?

    Fensport Performance EcuTek ECU Remaps

The remap was one of the best things I had done. Totally agree with your comments regarding adrian and the details he went into. I really understood exactly what he was doing and as we drove around the roads of Chatteris I really felt that any other Tuner would have to go alot further to beat the satisfaction from Fensport! I've had my months >6 months now and few things i've worked out is.... you never really use Launch control or Rev Matching. But the Flat foot is good! Mainly because it's easy to do and does have great advantages. And feels great! Glad you're happy and got it done! How do you find the positive shift kit too? I really found it helped keep the car settled on high RPM gear changes.

Nice one Mark! Looks good! Wheels aren't to my personal taste. But does look unique!

Fensport Avo Turbo install No 7 :)

How does it go with the Stock wheels and tyres? Have you been able to get the most out of the turbo or are the tyres the limit on this one?
  22. At the weekend I was lucky enough to see an Apache Helicopter land and take off whilst standing about 200 yards away! It got very windy very quickly!! Once the Pilot had landed he spotted my car and decided he wanted a bit of fun in his life.... Wanted to pilot something a little more fun? P.S -Been asked to keep this photos to the owners club only. So they can't go on FB.

    Banzai Magazine

Auto's can't have Launch Control because of the torque converter. Torque does have 0-60 times but not sure how accurate it is. The way I've worked mine out in the past is using a video camera at the speedo and then using the timeline to look at time taken. Video apps usually got down to milliseconds. Looking forward to seeing the difference in Turbo cars at the Christmas meet.
