Never had a problem with my Cobra system. And I've been very low! Now at around 25mm and its perfect. Never not been able to get somewhere or over a bump etc....
-
I took mine out and moved it to the Spoiler I fitted. Had cops pass, sitting behind and never been mentioned. As long as it's visible. Bright enough and not blocked by anything then it should be fine. I had to move mine as once i'd fitted the spoiler it sat inline with the 3rd brake light and you couldn't see it from the car behind.

The blue one will be in the switch loom you got with the seats. The blue one comes from the heated switch panel. That's what I worked out when i looked into a swap anyway. Yellow one is airbags.

Prestige Keep Moving insurance were best for me supercharged. http://www.prestigekeepmoving.com/ No one else really wanted to know. But they came in at the same price as I pay now without supercharger!

Might come and see you on the airfield!? Whats the deal with getting on it? Is it an organised thing? Or just a free for all?

They wouldn't let me have it back as they're sending it to some Toyota Department to investigate. I'm looking at getting mine Shotpeened and Cryo treated to strengthen the joints up. I know what bits cracked and it doens't look to expensive to get them treated.

All fixed this morning. Was clear when I got back in the car after it had been changed that it was making more sound than just the clicking on acceleration! There used to be a constant rear humming that's now completely gone and the occasional knock, this probably wasn't apparent until last week when I had my exhaust changed to the resonated version, making cruising almost stock sound. Not a single word was mentioned about the suspension, wheels or bushes. All went through no problem.

"The GT86 CS-R3 will be available to customers in the first quarter of 2015 in kit form while TMG will evaluate the supplying of built-up cars. Exact pricing has not yet been confirmed but TMG expects to deliver a competitive price compared to other R3 models." "TMG’s engine design and development department has analysed the original two-litre boxer engine and is completing an upgrade programme intended to improve on the 200hp maximum power." http://www.toyota-motorsport.com/en/latest-information-archive-en/384-gt86-cs-r3-rally-car-ready-to-roll

Wednesday 25th April. Out of the few people that have heard it, they're all fairly sure its inner CV driveshaft! Also replicates all symptoms of the problems the guys in the US experience. I will report when the work is done.
-
I think it maybe down to the fact they want the work. Toyota Pay the dealer the labour time and the part cost. So they make money on fitting warranty stuff! He had a good look and didn't batter an eye-lid at the fact it was lowered or had bigger wheels on. I'll probably think about getting some uprated ones eventually anyway to save this again. When it happens next I'll be out of warranty on the drive train. Jay

So took the car to Toyota this morning. Took the guy out and he was happy that it was also the Inner-CV as per my thoughts. Ordered a new one for me, gets fitted Wednesday 25th. No problem with coilovers, brakes, wheels, exhaust, bushes or power being fitted. Didn't even mention it. Just "It's under warranty so we'll order you a new one".

These are the Mono Sport ones. I think robs got Street Flex?
-
If i'm going to be spending money, i'd want to do the pair. And pair of stocks i'd rather get the uprated ones. £550 on stock ones which will probably do the same again. Especially with the added power i'm adding soon.

Not sure. There's a single second hand one on eBay for £230. I think they're around £600 for a pair
-
That sucks. Don't really need thicker ones, not going to be twisting any! Just the inner CV joint needs to be stronger and take the extra Geo. Next jump up seems to be £900 Driveshaft Shop ones which will be massively over-spec for my build.

Keith - Have a read of this thread, http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/2505-driveshaft-inner-cv-problems-on-lowered-gt86s/#entry38463 It was the same problem Adrian's Car had. Inner CV. Mine was the opposite side though. Lets keep driveshaft chat to the other thread to keep this one clean about the meet. -
Yeah, but mine have lasted 30k miles. So its a stop gap until they go again. Especially if they are under warranty. If warranty doesn't replace them i'll probably get beefier ones. Links to the tS review articles mentioning beefier driveshafts..... But can't find anywhere to order them! http://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-japanesecars/subaru-brz-ts-full-spec/28333 http://www.most-expensive-sports-car.com/subaru-brz-ts-specification-revealed/ http://en.responsejp.com/article/2013/10/23/209139.html "poly-bushed STI suspension linkages, beefed up driveshafts"

The problem is, that it is due to being lowered. I'll see what they say! Really it doesn't affect dealership level as they want to carry out the work (They get paid for it) Theres some secondhand ones around for £200 and not to hard to fit. So there are options. I'm trying to source the BRZ tS ones at the moment. They seem a reasonable middle of the road compared to the £900 DSS ones!
-
Almost like a metal / metal clicking. Perfectly synced with Wheel Speed. I'll try and get a video next time i'm out but maybe difficult with exhaust / road noise through a phone.
-
The BRZ tS does come with stronger ones! It seems the thoughts in the US is if you're lowered. It will develop eventually. I've not heard much of it being a problem in the UK. The noise i'm hearing may not be this. I've self-diagnosed it with symptoms and thoughts. I'll confirm on Thursday.

Swap your 17" kit!?!?! You're going 18" ?
-
Mine was fine, suddenly just started. Because ive just made the exhaust quiet again with a resonator its much more noticable. Hooeing Toyota will diagnose and replace under Warranty! Only upgrade seems to be the £900 600hp DSS ones. Apparently the BRZ tS in Japan comes with stronger ones! But no one knows the part numbers to order.
-
Seems any amount, just depends how quickly it turns into a problem. Any amount of lowering will put more stress on the inner CV. In the US there seems to be anything from 20mm - 35mm and they're failing.
