i just looked at the analytics for my most recent video, and i saw that all UK viewers (whoever you are) have watched the full video. so i just wanted to say thank you for that
-
so i've made a few videos by now. i thought it might be a good idea to centralize them, seeing as i haven't put them on here yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsmCVFZcCKM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er1-e-q_cDA

yes having owned one before the GT but never having more than 5 or 6 lancers together at one point, this was definitely a moment that needed capturing. when i saw that my mate was organising this, i immediately told him i wanted to come along
-
oh and as a bonus, i made another video which is slightly longer but has nothing to do with subaru or toyota it's of this EPIC drive me and my mate made on our way to form a new "Mitsubishi only" club. i just stuck my GoPro on his rear window and off we went for an hour long drive with a bunch of other Mitsubishi's (mostly Lancers) WARNING: there is an ad of a rival online parts store at the very end (and on the thumbnail as i notice now that i'm previewing this post). if that's a problem, let me know and i'll remove (or remove yourself and let me know )

snowfoaming at home is probably safer since you control the dosage, but at a jetwash, there's a set mixture that has to cut through the thickest of mucks so i would steer clear of those if possible. it's just the same product for any vehicle that fits in there, so from a bicycle to a large van (which not many people care too much about if it gets a scratch or the paint fades) i usually take anywhere from 1 to 2.5 hours or more, depending on whether i'm still shining the car, which is something i didn't do this time. i just paid a bit more attention to the wheels as it was the first time they got a thorough wash after changing back to my summers. that's why you see me going back to the wheels in the video. that's not a normal step i SHOULD wash the car every week, but in reality, i more often than not skip a week if the weather is bad or the roads are wet any excuse, y'know

it does release the dirt. but it's also too hard on the paint so not really healthy for the car. so i just load up the car with a few buckets, a trolley, a case of cleaning products, a box of towels, sponges and mitts, and a plant sprayer. and let the cleaning begin. i could have also added a layer of the Protech Extreme Shine (probably should have as it makes the water bead off more), but i started a bit late so i'll leave that for next time. tomorrow - weather permitting - will be the day i (finally) fit my Beatsonic aerial. it's been sitting for a few months now so it needs to be done really

it's been a while since i last put something up here, but i finally gathered my courage and put myself in the spotlight in this small timelapse of me washing the precious.

i took the lazy route and just described the corner i googled it right after and saw it was indeed Paddock Hill that i meant. Thanks again. Practice can resume

it was a video game based on the Discovery program. so you would build some of the vehicles that were featured on the show.

i think so. the blind corner right after start-finish. not the tight one that follows it

question to Lauren and SpecK (and other veteran racers): how the BLEEP do you get through turn 1 at Brands Hatch quickly? I either wash completely wide, completely miss the racing line, or i go through in grandma mode (= very very slowly)
-
i immediately thought about Monster Garage when i read the title has anyone ever played Monster Garage? i played Monster Garage once. it was pretty fun, but it didn't really work very well
-
you could try again in about 11 hours

John Button, father of Britain's most beloved F1-driver Jenson Button, died last Sunday. Wikipedia speaks of him succumbing to a heart attack at his home in the south of France. He will be sorely missed, both by fans around the world and the entire F1-scene.

i say it's karma for having those blasphemous stickers on your rear window i'm glad you and the car are (relatively) okay -

got myself a pair of OMP karting gloves for anything longer than a 10 minute drive. got some driving shoes as well, but i haven't really worn them. they're still on the rear seats i might just bring them back in the house and use them with my Playseat -
personally, i would have gone for white if you wanted to match it to the car or black for the accent. you could then have them vinyl wrapped red if you decide to go for red wheels. if you now want to go for white, there's always the chance they can't get the colour right

it wasn't canned, it just ended (according to Mr Westen)

burn notice is over???? NOOOOOO. what am i going to do without Fiona i guess i should be happy we're only on season 5 so far, then
-
you're assuming i'm using the in-car view i use bumper cam so i'm right in the middle. and one of the occasions i know where i "missed the apex" by a metre, was because i completely forgot to brake before the lefthander right before it. so i'm just happy i didn't end up in the wall on that righthander. i do know my lap is far from perfect. i'm pretty sure i can shave plenty of time off if i get everything absolutely right. i'll post another replay if i ever get it down to 7:45

no need for PP limit when using a courtesy car. just choose the car and go. and Lauren: slicks aren't road legal HERE over in the US of "do whatever the f*** you want" there is no such limitation (in at least some states)
-
but the Nordschleife isn't a track it's a toll road
-
i just realized i didn't actually post my laptime updating video post now
-
actually people would do it. WE don't because we deal with things like rain and snow and cold weather. if that's not an issue, there are plenty of people who would fit a slick tyre. but i did fight for just a standard car with standard tyres, so we could see who could really get the most out of the car. unfortunately, i was overruled so here we are. with people going full throttle through bends they should never be able to get through at anywhere near those speeds. so let's make that the next challenge. fastest lap on the standard tyres.
