BBQ Meet - South East Pictures!
Arekkz replied to rob275's topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
I only took a few on my phone, but here they are:Then saw this, and a matte black R8 on the way home: -
Also I really like those lights on Mark's car. Might have to add something else to the long list of "things I want to mod on my car" :32 (18):
-
Looks like you had a great day, and a great turnout! Nice photos as well! :32 (1):
-
Cheers for the BBQ today Rob, it was good! And say thanks to your folks for cooking as well :32 (20): Was good to see everyone else as well, and the drive there was good fun. Also, I saw a matte black Audi R8 and a black Lamborghini Gallardo on the way home :32 (1):
-
Alright nice one, cheers man! I'll see if I can pick something up on the way. Also, I'm happy to send you some more money, I don't want you to be out of pocket!
-
Do you want me to bring anything like drinks? Or anything else? Or do you have it all covered?
-
Haha, the reason we lost 3 last time, was because they were following me, and I got lost, haha!
-
Ok so I need some advice guys, what colour should I get? I was originally set on "black on black", but then I saw this:Admittedly it's not red, but the contrast is pretty cool! And otherwise it's the one above:
-
Aah, I'm posting here because this thread refuses to mark as read, so I'm hoping my comment will refresh it :32 (8):
-
Money sent!
-
Sorry I realised I hadn't actually properly replied to this since my first comment, but I'll be there! I'm transferring you the funds as I type this (well that's a lie, because I'm typing right now, but as soon as I stop typing, I will transfer the money!) :32 (1):I'll meet at the grasshopper, but could you still PM me your address Rob, just in case I get lost on the way from the 'hopper to your house.Oh, and I don't eat tomatoes, or baked beans :32 (18):
-
Awesome! Can't wait! :32 (1):
-
Yeah the bonnet looks awesome! Nice and aggressive :32 (10):
-
My google-fu returned this:Looks pretty cool there :32 (1):Edit: Oh and this...
-
I really like them actually! Although I agree with Lauren, I wish they didn't protrude by the door, but I think on a similar coloured car, they could look pretty slick :32 (1):
-
Ah shit, sorry to hear that man, hope you can get it sorted and hope it doesn't cost too much!
-
Yeah I looked at a couple, but some of them have an odd shape. The good thing about the Beatsonic one is that it seems to somewhat follow the contours of the car, so I think it's gonna have to be that one.
-
So I have yet to do anything to my car (other than adding a plaque to the centre console!), but the first thing I have planned, and am planning on doing quite soon, is to wrap the roof black. This is my inspiration:These are pictures of a car that belongs to one of the guys on the FT86 forum, but will post up pictures of my own when I get it done :32 (1):
-
Yeah that's the one I think I'm going to end up getting, and it does look nice. I was just hoping there might be a cheap equivalent of the Grazio & Co one - I prefer the harsh lines on that one. How is the Beatsonic one in terms of size? Don't suppose you have any pictures of it fitted on your car do you?Edit: After a quick google I came up with this: I think that has pretty much sold it to me!:32 (1):
-
Welcome to the club! :32 (1):
-
Yeah I think if you want to change the entire car colour, wrapping is better than plasti-dip. From what I've read it's a lot more durable, and also depending on the vinyl used, it can really protect your paintwork as well!I am curious what you'd do if you got a paint chip though, not sure how you'd repair vinyl. I'll ask the guys when I get my roof done next week and shed some light :32 (1):
-
It's £185 + VAT, so £222 all in all - not bad!I'll be sure to take lots of photos before, during and after
-
So I have my car booked in with the guys at Valet Magic next Friday (5th) to get the roof wrapped. This will be my first real mod, exciting times!
-
You could always dump the change in the huge space where the arm-rest goes? :32 (18):As for costs, the plaque itself cost $24.95 (~£16.17), then he originally charged me $23.95 (~£15.52) for shipping because he'd never shipped to the UK and wasn't sure how much it'd cost, but when he went to post it he then refunded me $14.50 (~£9.40) so the shipping only ended up costing £6.12.So in total, it cost £31.41 :32 (1): (and there's no extra charge if you want your own custom engraving!)Oh and delivery was a couple of weeks from order. He typically sends them out in batches on Mondays, so it you order it after that I think you wait till the next shipment - at least that's how I understood it? But it was quick!

Someone on the FT-86 forum asked that and he said that he was working with someone that had them to try and figure our a solution. So he is in the process of doing something (I think), but as far as I'm aware not just yet.Where are the heated seat switches anyway? In the middle? Or the top?
