Shame the camera is pointing out, I'll have to get another at the back looking in View My Video Another thing, they are happy to push aircon regas & brake fluid change after 2 years but why no mention of the valve clearance that's down as an additional inspection every 10,000mls / 1 year.

Jay i've done just over 20k, just reviewing the in car video at Toyota & some guy is taking a selfie while sat in my car wtf
-
Just had a call from my local toyota dealer to take the car back friday to have the oil changed
-
Yes I am Keith, Am I reading this wrong... Going by the book rear diff oil should be changed every 20,000 mls & is part of the normal service routine not an extra cost item.
-
Thanks Rob, not what it says in my service book clearly states replace oil at full service intervals, our cars are now two years old & Toyota have no oil in stock, no engine coolant in parts department either....
-
Still waiting to see this hood
-
Sorry to hear this Keith,I know some n/a cars have this issue but it does seem quite a few turbo cars are going down with this, could it be due to the extra heat from the turbo?? What ever the cause its not good for are car & it could happen to any of us.
-
Just replace the front wings & be done with it...
-
Very sad news Rab, good to hear you'll still be about.... Look forward to seeing your new beast

I got a set of Black Chrome for my car, just used hot water to remove them, the front ones do also have two small clips. I was able to remove the front one without taking the bumper off. https://www.japanparts.com/parts/list.php?adt=1&dl=2&cm=178&md_sm=2%3A32&pm=298&skwd1= http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/1497-ians-gt86/page-8

In a move that will fuel intense speculation about a future sports car from Toyota, the automaker debuted a second version of its FT-1 concept Wednesday night in Monterey.. The two-seat coupe’s eye-catching design didn’t change from the brilliant red model that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show in January. This time around, however, Toyota aimed for a more sophisticated palette to match the well-heeled car fans that are in town for Monterey car week. The automaker coated this latest FT-1 in graphite gray paint on the outside and lined the cabin with natural-grain leather. From the start of the FT-1 project, we wanted the driver to have a feeling of flow while at the wheel, to be able to focus on the road and nothing else,” said Sellene Lee, a creative designer at Toyota’s Newport Beach Calty design studio Our aim was to ensure everything supported the driver through efficient choices. The saddle leather maintains that same ‘in-the-zone’ driving intention, while bringing in a more premium feeling,” Lee said Few other details about the concept have been confirmed. Toyota is mum on whether the car will reach production, though the automaker is keen tolink the FT-1’s ethos with its previous production sports cars like the 2000GT, Celica, Supra and MR2 and Scion’s FR-S. It’s also telling that Toyota would show the same concept to two disparate but important groups of sports car buyers. Detroit was aimed at the hard-core enthusiasts, while the Monterey debut is geared toward the wealthier clientele who would pay more for a premium version. There’s also no word on what a production version of the FT-1 might cost, though Toyota has indicated that since it’s an affordable brand, the sports car’s price would be within reason, possibly around the $60,000 mark. Toyota’s luxury arm Lexus has been touting a two-door coupe concept called the LF-LC that could be the upscale iteration of the FT-1. The graphite gray FT-1 debuted Wednesday at the Gordon McCall Motorworks Revival gala, a ticketed event that serves as the unofficial kickoff ofMonterey’s car week, which is highlighted each year by the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance car show on Sunday.

The traditional paper car tax disc will be replaced by an electronic system in October. The tax disc, which was first introduced in 1921, will cease to exist in paper form from October 1, with a new electronic system being put in its place. Under new rules announced in the Autumn Statement last year, motorists will now have to register their car online to pay Vehicle Excise Duty, otherwise known as road tax. This can be done via Direct Debit on the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) website or at a Post Office branch. Those who don't register for the tax, will be caught out by number plate recognition cameras which track each vehicle on the road. The change mostly affects those buying or selling a used car. Anyone who buys a used car will no longer benefit if there are months left on the tax disc, as the vehicle tax will no longer be transferred with the car. This means buyers will have to renew their tax disc straight away, or risk being caught out on the road in an untaxed car. The seller of the vehicle is responsible for informing the DVLA of a change of ownership, otherwise they could face a possible £1,000 fine. Thiscan be done by filling out a V5C form and sending it to the DVLA. Vehicle sellers will get an automatic refund for any full calendar months left on the vehicle tax. This is a huge change and vehicle owners and drivers need to be aware of the rules. A driver, not registered owner, can be issued a non-endorsable fixed penalty for driving an untaxed car. An owner can be fined £80 for using an untaxed vehicle (one not registered off the road) and can becharged any back tax. Mr Watters said it was important all vehicle owners and motorists did their utmost to establish whether their vehicle was taxed or SORN’d (declared off the road) before driving the car. Julie Daniels, head of motor at comparethemarket.com, said that the removal of the tax disc, which will in turn eliminate tax dodgers from the road, "should have a positive impact on premiums". The paper element of the driving licence, which accompanies the credit card size photo-card, is also due to be axed in January 2015.

New hybrid Toyota Supra to benefit from technology-sharing deal with underpinnings from next BMW Z4 The Toyota Supra is set to return as a plug-in hybrid sports car using BMW underpinnings, Auto Express can reveal. And our exclusive image showshow the radical styling will be influenced by the FT-1 supercar concept seen at this year’s Detroit Motor Show. The ‘BMW Supra’ has been born out of a technology-sharing deal announced by the two companies in 2011. At the time they confirmed a number of projects, including hydrogen fuel-cell development, shared battery tech and a joint sports car platform. It’s understood that the underpinnings for the next-generation BMW Z4 will also form the basis of a new Supra. The new BMW roadster will use lightweight know-how gleaned from the i3 and i8 plug-in range, with extensive use of aluminium and carbon fibre aimed at reducing weight and uppingthe roadster’s stiffness. But while the new Z4 is expected to use turbocharged, direct-injection four-cylinder engines and remain rear-wheel drive, Toyota will borrow thesame engines and instead use electric power to unlock all-wheel-drive traction Toyota is thought to be employing drip-down tech from its Le Mans race cars, although unlike the TS040 Hybrid, the ‘new Supra’ will use twin electric motors on the front axle, together with an engine-supplementing e-motor at the rear, rather than purely rear-wheel drive. This will allow a greater degree of regenerative braking, plus the handling benefits of torque vectoring, by instantly shifting drive or retardation between thecar’s wheels in hard cornering. Interestingly, the system will implement Toyota’s first-ever dual-clutch transmission, in place of the slow-witted CVT gearboxes we’re accustomed to in existing Toyota and Lexus hybrids. By designing the motors in-house, and taking advantage of BMW’s weight-saving methods, Toyota is thought to be targeting a kerbweight of less than 1,400kg. However, it’s expected that the BMW will be the lighter of the two models, on account of its simpler drivetrain. The cars are expected to debut within a few months of one another, but not until 2017 at the earliest. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/toyota/88119/new-toyota-supra-to-get-bmw-hybrid-tech
