    Jaguar F-Tyre R

I want a tour....I think I need to pull some strings and sort something out Last year, I was over at one of the Jag sites in Castle Brom where they had customer cars being tweaked....so while I was trying to help some inspectors us our software, there were people who kept on starting up the normal F-Types and moving them about.....all I wanted to do was watch and checkout the cars.....but I couldn't If I had the money....it would def be on my shopping list

This is just filth, pure car porn....now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the GT86 but the F-Tyre R is such a beautiful looking car and sounds soooooo amazing....if I had the money.....I'd be very very very tempted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCmsfhAvcyo

Fidanza Aluminum Flywheels in stock now :)

I've read that lighter fly wheels could cause idling issues....any chance of that happening with this Adrian? Would one need a remap to sort that? What are the gains of having a lighter flywheel?
  4. Cobra Exhaust Is Officially Too Loud :P

  5. Hey all, I'm down at Abbey Motorsport this Saturday to have a look at quietening my exhaust so thought I'd post up a lil mini meet over at the Grasshopper Inn in the afternoon (say around 1ish), once I've had everything sorted, for a spot of lunch or something if anyone fancies it. I know it's a lil last minute but it was a last minute booking it's more of a "who's around and fancies a spontaneous mini meet".....just throwing it out there really Grasshopper Inn, Moorhouse, Westerham Rd, Westerham, Kent TN16 2EU P.S. If anyone who might be coming to this who has a sound meter to measure the noise level of my exhaust, if they could bring it with them so I can check the noise level of my exhaust, I would be indebted to them!

Top Gear back on this weekend

See, I don't mind too much the long trips in 2 cars as along as they're decent (i.e. exotic) cars in a decent location.....for example, I love the one where they were in america and they had the Aston, Dodge and Lexus, old bangers going up and down this country doesn't really interest me. But I agree, some of the jokes do wear thin very quickly....but at the same time....there are one or two moments of pure genius.

    My Insurance situation

Wow, that's pretty good, Adrian Flux could't get any where near Sky on my current insurance with all my mods and potential mods declared.....but it's one of those things....one insurance company will give one person a terrible quote but then give someone else with similar stats an amazing quote, but then another company will do the complete opposite. Just keep on looking Rob!

    Forced Induction

Just so you know, we've had a member who tried to get his car Supercharged by Litchfield but they messed him around, didn't respond to messages and left this fella waiting ages, so he's now getting his Supercharged from Abbey instead. That and I've heard other not so great stories regarding Litchfield and their remaps etc, so I'd personally not bother with Litchfield. I've not had any personal experience from them so all I can do is relay what I've heard from others that have. If I had the money to spend, I'd struggle to decide and both setups (Fensports and Abbeys) are great kits and it depends on what you're after really. If you need the supercharger whine, Abbey, if you want mega power, Fensport, otherwise, in my opinion, there's not much difference between the two that they couldn't tweak to suit your needs. Usually if you want linear power/torque you'd go supercharger but with Adrian's tuning skills, he can control the boost to give a very linear delivery and vice versa, I'm sure Mark could tune the car to have a big kick at certain revs etc. For a moderate power boost, you're looking at around the same amount of money for either system I believe. It may even simply come down to who's closest.....that would play a rather big part for myself as if I needed anything doing or have any problems, you'd want it looked at as soon as and if they're closer, it'll be easier to get to.....but for me again, I'm still 2 hours away either location. I'm sure there's more detailed differences but since I've not got the money to go FI, I've not really looked into it in too much depth, just what I've seen so far (though I have actually test driven both ) What also might be worth considering is that Tuning Development is trying to develop their own Turbo kit, HKS also has a Supercharger kit available (which I think Fensport can supply and fit and possibly even Abbey).

    My Insurance situation

You can give Greenlight a try, and they're pretty good for trackday goers and they only charge £50 I think for trackday cover.....but....and this is a big but....they wouldn't insure me as they have a vehicle value cap of £20,000. I tried getting a quote this year and said that the car is worth a lil less than £20k and they still wouldn't insure me cos the car was too expensive.....pretty redonkulous considering they specialise in performance cars, but give them a try anyways mate as they were really good price wise when I had the Clio 200!

    Hello...another migrant here

Hey Twigman, Just to let you know, Nathan from Japex Trading (who's based in Japan) has now signed on as a trader who can import JDM products from Japan that are compatible with GT86's and BRZ's to the UK, so drop him a PM to see if he can sort you out with a set of those T66-F wheels!
  21. Just another quick update, Nathan has confirmed that the Galaxy Blue EH8 is available, again, this colour is available to Subaru in other countries. He has also confirmed that he will lower the value of the package upon postage so if we get charged for import tax, it'll be a bit less than normal. So come on people....we're now down to 8 people....can we find 2 more? I will be PM'ing these 8 people soon with payment options so please check and respond.
  22. Bit of an unfair test in my opinion, yes similar price but stock vs tuned? Lets see how they compare this tuned MX-5 for a tuned GT86 by either Fensport or Abbey Motorsport!!! Have a word Adrian/Mark!
  23. Lol, well it's a hell of a lot cheaper than what the UK Subaru dealers can offer it for!

Top Gear back on this weekend

Well, another disappointing start to the season. It was a bit amusing at certain parts but pretty poor....but still looking to more episodes with some rather nice looking motors!
  25. Arrrrr, Tim....gutted mate. But good news people, if we can get 10 people, Nathan can do each set for £100 each (unless the YEN improves which could lower that a little more). If we can't get 10 people, we may need to pay just a little more. Also, this doesn't include any import tax that maybe added upon arrival of the parts, I've asked Nathan if we can expect any import tax and if so, how much roughly what to expect as I'm not sure if he can "gift" the package or at least lower the value of, so will let you guys know how it goes! In order for us to get these in time for the 22nd, I'll have to put the order through around the 10th so I will be closing the group buy on the 9th. So if you know anyone who's still interested, please get them on board as soon as possible as they've only got a week left to get on this group buy.
