Lol, awesome stuff Lauren, so the bent bit, is it just the lip that's bent rather than along the whole wheel width? Is this pillar box red the same red in the example picture? You getting your TRD side bits in the same red too?

Sheeet, did not notice that, I'll have to have a look later.

Good shout guys, I'll drop Nathan a message and see how long it will take to order and ship, but this will mean ending the group buy a lil early. I'll find out how long it'll take to arrive and then start planning backwards to when we can safely end the group buy to get the orders in! -
Awesome stuff Adrian, keep them coming.......just so I can feel even more left out

Good call Steve, I'll double check with him! EDIT - Just had a quick search and it seems that you can in fact get a BRZ in the dark blue like the GT86, just not in the UK it seems (and maybe some other countries, but if you check out the Subaru global website, you see that they do have the Galaxy Blue Silica). -

Is it at certain revs? Only over bumps? When does it happen?- 37 replies

What might be worth noting to people who get their ECU remapped is that after the remap, you may find that there's a bit of a dead zone at the very start of the throttle travel where there's no response for a brief moment. If so, just give the accelerator pedal a couple of full presses while driving and it should sort this out. This wasn't mentioned to me while I was there or to some other people who'd had their ECU remaps from other tuners so thought I'd mention it here for people. Luckily I was chatting to Jay and he told me how to resolve this. Seems that after a remap, the ECU needs to relearn certain things!

Ooooooo, very nice.....soooooo tempted!

LOL, it's true but I don't know what's going on with my exhaust, Mark from Abbey and Matt from Cobra both have no idea why my exhaust is soooooo much louder than Jay's even though our systems are virtually identical. They both say that each car is different but not this bloody different! No idea if they are all this loud and Jay's is a one off quiet non-res system with 2nd CAT delete, or if mine is a one off mega loud non-res system with 2nd CAT delete.....I love it...and it's sounds mega awesome....even had a mate think it was a super car coming down the road..... .....but I'm shafted for trackdays

BRZ Front Fender Side Fin Group Buy from Japex

For the massive UK meet + Karting? So the Premier Inn in Walsall? Sounds good! Or maybe we could checkout Chris' place....does he have an actual shop or anything there where we could check out his wares? -

Like Mike says, there are 6 push clips on the back of the fender bit plus some adhesive tap sticking it down too. It should literally pry off while pushing some of the pins out from the inside to aid it, you'll just have to give it some to remove the adhesive. The new ones should come with replacement clips and tap to stick down again. -

LOL...that.....looks.....AWESOME!!! It's a real shame though, have you seen the Surgeon Simulator 2013? Find a video of it on Youtube, there are people trying to play it and it's hilarious as you actually have to control your hand with your mouse and keys for each finger, so you have to carefully grip things correctly as the game has some funky physics in it and you have to then hack, saw and cut out organs and replace them with new ones....and it's just hilarious as this just get flung around cos people can't control the hand properly.....was hoping this would be the same type of thing but with car engine http://store.steampowered.com/app/233720/?snr=1_7_7_151_150_1

Welcome to the club Twigman and congrats on the purchase! Be sure to post up some pics when you get her! Just to give you the heads up, we might have a trader coming on board sometime soon who imports items from Japan. Once he's set up shop, drop him a message and see if he's able to get a set for you!

I tell you what though, on the way there, on the way back and throughout most of the day, at no point did I really think to myself that I needed to go FI, I didn't feel that I needed more power or the car was underpowered, even with the long straights. With the new exhaust and the ECU remap, the car feels so spirited and had enough pull down slip roads and out of roundabouts etc. Even when on track, get the corners right and you can speed out of most corners there to over take whoever was too slow, and in the conditions that day, even with Keith in his turbo'd 86, I managed to stay in front of him for about 3/4 of a session.....though then he managed to get one of the corners spot on and he just blasted past me on the straight. When on the straights, I didn't feel that the straights were overly long, it gave you enough time to get some high speeds in but also enough time to plan and prepare for the next turn. Though I'd probably have felt differently if there were more cars on track and on a dryer day while up against more experienced drivers, and I've always said this, when you're on your own, you never feel like the car needs more power, but when you're head to head with someone and you're flat out but they're pulling away, that's usually when you want more power. But in the wet with hardly any cars about, I didn't really wish for more power at all....with the only exception that day of when trying to over take people on the straights who didn't bother slowing down, at which point I would only just creep past them and only just in time to then brake for the next corner, but even if you did have more power, there will typically be a more powerful car on track than yours and you'll end up in the same dilemma again anyways. Adrian and the instructor/organiser made a really good point that when your tackling a particular set of difficult corners, as you improve your driving line through the first corner, you end up exiting the first corner with more speed....at which point you'll end up messing up the next corner.....which did actually occur as I (and probably others there) improved throughout the day. Going FI would mean building up more speed, reaching the next corner sooner and reducing the time to plan and prepare for the next turn. But I suppose that's just another challenge to tackle and fully utilising the potential of my NA GT86 is my current challenge. Have I told everyone how much I love the GT86? Though I'm still gutted that I never took my Clio 200 on a trackday before I got rid of it- 37 replies

Thanks Lauren, I really want to take some drifting lessons of some sort, this way I'd be more confident in catching the high speed over steer and not over correcting it etc. Here are some pics I took:- 37 replies
