LOL.....sounds kinky! Hopefully I can make that weekend!

Don't know if any of you watched Episode 4 the other night but awesome episode as it had the new Vanquish in it.....god do I want a Vanquish.....loved the old one, love the new one even more and while watching it, I had a revelation, the way Jason was describing the car, the Vanquish is a bigger and more expensive version of the GT86! An amazing grand tourer that has a nice linear torque curve that needs to be rev'd hard in order to get the most out of it, the back end feels very light and twitchy but once you get used to it, you know what's going to happen and can control it very easily......just like a GT86 :32 (19):

I was actually down there last year very shortly after picking mine up as I was down there for 2 weeks for work. Sadly this year won't be so coincidental as I've got training booked back at base that week.

Awesome stuff Adrian, looking forward to seeing the results etc, where's this taking place? Have fun!

Good man Ian, so when's the big day? What exactly will you be getting (stages, additional kit etc)? But I'm confused.....how can the Cobra exhaust sound fantastic when it was proper loud and aggressive when you like no noise? :32 (18): You're guna hate mine my exhaust when I get it :32 (17):

I auctioned myself and the GT86 for charity ;-)

LOL, great stuff Faith!!! -
I'm sure Mark from Abbey Motorsport has just found that particular setting in the ECU map so yes, you can if you get your car remapped with ECUTEK remap. Abbey might be a lil far for you but I'm sure there are other's who could do it as the way Mark explained it, it was a simple option he had to change a 1 to a 0, it would just be a matter for that tuner to find that string! Also, see this thread he posted up http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/forum/the-marketplace/traders-discounts/abbey-motorsports/4888-start-up-agression

Good shout Tim, though I'm busy most weekends in November and at the moment, only free on the 23rd Nov but that may change!

Hi Rich, do you offer just the fitting of winter tyres on to existing stock alloys?
-
Yeah like Lauren says, the AC runs independent of the Auto mode so it will remain on when you've got it on in Auto mode and it will remain off if you've got it off in Auto mode, no matter the temperature etc.Apologies for taking this slightly off topic but I take it that the air filters are the cause for the musky damp smell when you don't turn on the AC after a long time after rain etc?

And that's why I'd be a pants racing driver.....I would have either swapped paint with the E30 already or chickened out and let anyone near me pass, then stuggle to overtake anyone....cool vid though! Loving the amount of GT86's racing! When tracking, I know slower cars pull to one side to let faster driver overtake on typically on the left, when your racing against other classes, do you do the same or do you stick with your driving line and get the faster drivers/cars to overtake however they can? Also, do we know the spec of that GT86? Is it stock?

Welcome to the club and congrats on the purchase, be sure to post up pics and a review if you can!

INITIAL THOUGHTS! Dunlop SportMaxx RT tires. 215/45/17
Keethos replied to CHOSENMAN007's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I've always believed that the quoted 0-60 times were naff and were just a safety time or something as there have been numerous reports of quicker times than the stated time, plus with gripper tyres, less wheel spin, more traction to reach 60 sooner! But glad you're enjoying the tyres, you'll have to give us another review later after you've got more miles on them! -
Wahay! Glad you could join us both today and on here mate! Wish I had known that you had the positive whiteline shift thingy, would have like to checked that out! Welcomes anyways!

It was great meeting you all today, new and old! Really enjoyed the chats, the cruise and the Carvery too!Managed to have a dirty brown shower on the way down this morning (some massive puddles with people driving through them slowly except for 1 douche bag who decided to plough through at speed which caused a massive wave to crash into me (proper flinched big time even though you know there's a windscreen there.....which meant my car was proper proper filthy)! Also, thanks Rob for showing us his triangle (ooo-eeerr), was entertaining, especially behind Lauren with her aids turned off.... she was giving it large big time out of every junction with he backend hanging out big time :+:Lastly, a big thanks to Mark for finding the time in his busy schedule to come over to the meet for a quick chat and for us to checkout his front splitter and more importantly for letting some of use test drive his supercharger. I'm am seriously loving the whine it makes, proper addictive though wished it would be a lil louder as I'm sure you'd struggle to hear it with music blaring. But with no music, you can hear the awesome whine and the Cobra exhaust sounded absolutely awesome with it! Really surprised how loud it was even though it was resonated! Can't wait to get mine fitted! Agree with what Lauren said pretty much, it's very linear and still fairly responsive so plant your foot and hold on tight as it just pulls and pulls while making such an awesome noise and putting a big smile on your face! A fast car must make you feel like your going fast and it can't truly do that without any proper noise, I've been in Adrian's turbo but he has such a quiet exhaust, it felt very weird and didn't feel as fast when accelerating compared to a car that makes a racket when accelerating hard like Pitman's turbo and of course Mark's supercharger. I can understand people wanting to be stealth but that's not what sports cars are about to me!P.S. apologies to Ian and Keith for leaving you guys behind, did try and slow down a bitin the hopes you would catch up but no luck. Also.....who was behind me in the Orange 86 and the black Cobra exhausts? Saw him shoot off straight instead ofturning off and following us, where did you go? -

If we're meeting up around 10, I'm sure we'll still be around then, I'd imagine we'd get some lunch at the Grasshopper come mid day! -
Hey all,Those in the know know that I plan on doing some cosmetic changes to my car, starting probably with some Rota Grid Drifts (18") in white but to mix it up a bit, have one of the spokes on each wheel wrapped in say a gloss black and to make it stand out even more, have something cut out rather than just a bland black strip (yes yes, much like the Volks :32 (35): would love a set of Volks but waaaaaay too expensive). At first, I couldn't think of what to cut out, thought maybe just simply GT86 is some fancy style, but then an awesome idea hit me:Or possiblyWhich does look pretty good but doesn't stand out as much as the first one, then follow that with the gloss black roof wrap and front lip wrap:And I'm still considering changing the side fenders for BRZ ones :32 (14):

Someone beat me to my look :32 (3):....well sort of :32 (18):
