I actually test drove the demo at the Cross Roads dealer, the guy there saw 3 pretty big fellas was in and asked for a test drive and his actual words were "well I don't fancy getting in the back with you boys in there so if you leave me your keys, you 3 can test drive the car out without me", pretty cool of him as my local Toyota dealer wouldn't let me test drive it without him in the car!

Not according to my local Subaru dealer (Ballsal Common), they've fitted their demo car with the Miltek exhaust, slapped on some 18" Impreza STi wheels (I think they're the STi wheels) as well as some decals, suspension springs and stuff, just ask Quball, he brought it! The dealer told me that Subaru were well aware of what they were doing and had no problems with it as they were pretty confident that as long as the parts were fitted correctly, you can't really go wrong with those parts (if they went forced induction on the other hand, then they'll probably have a word as you're more prone to issues). The last time I spoke to them, they were trying to build a relationship with Cosworth so they could tune cars for customers and be ok with it. So that dealer seems to be doing the same type of stuff that Riceburner is doing with his demo cars/customers and Toyota.

The filter made the car sound like it was breathing more loudly if that makes sense, but that could just be a placebo. As for the sound generators....no idea besides ebay I think!I'm still waiting for a reply from Mark, I'm hoping he can squeeze us in on the 12th but otherwise it might be on the 26th that I get my exhaust done/have a mini meet there.Since Lauren is going to be down in the area on the 12th anyways, I'm thinking maybe we should all have a mini meet anyways, whether it's at Abbey Motorsport or not.....maybe just the pub around the corner (Grasshopper is it?) Would the quick shift lever be an even shorter and firmer gear change? Similar to adding a whiteline gearbox positive shift kit? Wonder if this would remove the horrible vibration I get when at high revs around where the flange rever leaver is......

Looks good....though I really like the look of the shiny superman one that some people have (though maybe not of the superman logo).....or even the illuminated ones.....though the problem is, I like sticking the odd coinage in there at times.....hmmmmm choices choices

LOL, that's what these clubs are for dude, when most of us test drove or pick up our cars, we knew a hell of a lot more than most of the sales guys.....even to those who were lucky enough to the dealer only events to test out the GT86 before hand.In terms of induction, the stock one works pretty well, it's not that restrictive, and there are actually quite a few different intakes you can get, different styles but you'll find none really give that big of a performance boost (as its an NA engine), it's more about sound, but there are write ups by typically people in the states who compare with some dyno figures.....like this here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35125 but obviously take the numbers with a pitch of salt, they are running in different environments, different octane in their petrol etc etc.

The sound generator is a pipe that leads from the existing air intake and leads into the foot well of the drivers side I believe, it generates a lot of noise to make the car sound awesome and loud on the inside of the car but not from the outside of the car, most modern cars now days to it to reduce noise pollution and what not. Changing the air intake will typically mean loosing this sound generator.TRD actually make little attachments that can actually change the sound of this noise slightly, one reduces it, one makes it louder and another even louder I think:

That looks pretty good for only £50......hmmm.....tempted.....only problem is that I have a paved driveway which means it's guna be a biatch to move around on the creeper as the wheels will keep on dripping into the small gaps between the paving stones.

I've just noticed but I actually like the look of BRZ2's front with the bonnet slightly opened.....I kinda like the look of that black line just sweeping down and across the car.

Yeah, getting the non-resonated cat delete with the black outverted tips, sadly there aren't any pics of these after they have been installed, just pics of them on their own, however, one of the lads from Cobra did finally send me this pic....though it's a silver one:[ATTACH=CONFIG]n4474[/ATTACH]I've seen white BMW M3's with black exhaust tips which look awesome, but their bumpers are all white which make the tips stand out, I'm worried that because the rear diffuser is black, that black tips might get a lil lost.....only time will tell....it won't be the end of the world if I don't like them as I could always just swap out the tips for different ones. Let us know how you get on and your thoughts after the install!
