Ah yes, you name does look familiar but can't quite put a face to you.....this was a while back.....I'm actually getting the Cobra system too off Mark, what tips did you go for? Luckily Mark was kind enough to include me in this group buy even though I was banned from the other forum :32 (27):

Yeah, there's nothing really to worry about besides your sanity and your ears, I've got about 15k miles on the clock and mine has been doing it quite a lot and pretty much from the beginning, even after a couple of track days which does tend to quieten them down for a day or two. Though I do find hard stops don't always work for me but I find that whenever the car has been washed (note not very often :32 (28) they tend to stay quite for a few days too. Some people expect this as this is a sports car, some people can't stand it and get the dealers to have a look with some success but often told that there's nothing they can do.As for Heel and Toe technique, it's a bit weird, I've always known how to do it but I was never able to do it properly, I started to try braking with my big toe and accelerate a bit with my little toe and that worked pretty well in my Clio 200....but that was because the 2 pedals were of similar height and that I could do it at low speeds and this got me used to blipping the revs. In the GT86 however, since the pedals are more offset height wise, this technique of using your big and little toe doesn't work very well, so I had to start doing the proper heel and toe but what I found was that it's a lot easier to do when you're actually on the brakes hard, this levels your foot out more with the loud pedal, at which point you can just jab it with your heel quickly to blip the accelerator. All this kinda just fell together and I could suddenly do it to a certain degree. Now I tend to heel toe whenever I'm slowing down from high speeds and even blip the accelerator when I'm just changing down at slow speeds.I'm actually a lil chuffed now about my heel and toe because during my very first ever trackday, I gave some random fella a ride along and it was his first time in a GT86 (though a veteran track goer as he had his own trailer and caterham) and he actually asked me if the car auto rev matches :32 (18):I had to tell him that it was all me :32 (1):needless to say he was impressed with it being my first trackday

Just to get some more topics on the go.....who here has pre-ordered GTA V? I am sooooo excited about this game that I seriously can't wait. Should be out on the 17th September 2013, just after JAE, I've already taken a couple of days off work for JAE but I've also got the whole week after off as well and to do what? You guessed it, blazing through this bad boy!!! I've got Saints Row 4 to keep me busy as well as some other games that I still need to finish, until GTA comes out!

Oh and I feel real sorry for this Owen fella, I would be freaking the hell out for being sued, nevermind that £21k payout, but to have this hovering over you for 3 years, I reckon it would have had serious mental ramifications, lack of sleep, not eating, unable to concentrate at work, possible loss of job because of that.....all that stress only for them to drop it and say it was all a test......I'd bloody try and counter sue them.....do these type of things take this long to sort out? If so why?
-
Oh dear Keith :32 (35): We missed you too
-
Maaaann....I've finally read through all of that.....and I'm still slightly lost....everyone is worried about personal injury claims but the insurance company was trying to claim the payout they had to fork out for to replace the caterham by suing Owen, those are two separate things aren't they? Or can you sue anyone for anything as long as negligence is involved? And this new disclaimer is just to stop people from suing each other right (unless it's personal injury/death due to negligence)? But it was the insurance company who went after Owen, not the caterham driver right? So that disclaimer doesn't apply here and them testing this law suit to help prevent it is bull right? It's been a good read to understand a lil more about law but they didn't have repeat themselves and there are still plenty of unanswered questions there. Does this bother any of you at all? Has it put any of you off trackdays?

Does look kinda cool but would never consider getting that done, plus I've yet to see one in the flesh never mind one that has been driven hard, wonder if it shows the slightest of scratches at all.....

Midland/Northern Camera Install Session
Keethos replied to Keethos's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
It was good see you all again today and great to see new faces too, glad you're all happy with the camera installs. The question is Captain Duff, did you a) feel that Lauren bullied you into joining this club :32 (17): and was your son egging you on to go faster after he's spent most of the day racing around in a virtual GT86 all day? :32 (18): still love the fact that Alec took his Xbox, steering wheel and monitor along....think your missing a trick there Rich, get more customers in I reckon if you had a nice setup in the showroom for people to "Demo".....even though it'll be an FR-S rather than a proper GT86 :32 (28):Lauren, I'm sure either Jay or myself could sort something out....though you have the luxury of either looking at getting a proper pioneer camera or possibly still using one of these cheap Chinese ones for your install. -
Hi all,As many of you are aware, Jay (GT86Jay) is offering a service to install reversing cameras for fellow GT86 owners and we know that there are currently quite a few people up in the Midland/Northern region who wish to get one installed. As it will be quite a journey for Jay, we're going to plan ahead and make sure that we can get enough people together for a particular weekend who wish to have a camera fitted. So here's the plan:- We're looking at doing the installs over 2 days on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September (if no one can make either of these days, then there is a possibility of doing it on the 28th & 29th which is the weekend after)- Rich (riceburner) from RRG Toyota Macclesfield has kindly offered their garage to host these installs - Hibel Rd, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK10 2AB- The installs will be £150 but we ask that a £30 deposit is made as we order the parts in, which will include the camera, cables, grommets, plugs etc- It will take roughly 2 hours to installIf you are interested, please PM Jay (GT86Jay) with your interests, available dates and deposit before the 27th August as the cameras and parts will be ordered upon confirmation, any later than this and we can't guarantee all the parts will arrive before the 21st September as the cameras come from overseas. If we can't get enough people to come, then we'll change the plan slightly but it will probably be just myself doing the installs instead.Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.Kind Regards,Keith

Macclesfield Meet - Saturday
Keethos replied to will300's topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
Great pics will (courtesy of Phil if you reading this :32 (17). It was a pretty good blast on both days.Narnie, glad you found us, you were following me very closely and saw you bezz past, hovered next to Jay (in the red one) rev'd engine a couple of times and then darted off in a different direction, shame you couldn't have joined us....but I think we had just finished our run at that time I think (can't remember now.....weekend has become a blur already :32 (18) Get yourself another test drive some time and take it around "Lauren Triangle", you'll love it even more, I wasn't wowed by my test drive to be fair, but the car and rapidly grown on me and love it big time now!Sorry to hear the rest of the day didn't go so well Mark, you should have really stayed, was a good run.....though after we left the Cat & Fiddle, the roads back were blocked with ambulances as there was probably a pretty bad crash or something.....did the rest of you guys get back alright? -
LOL, it sure looks like it as he's messed up/missed bits :32 (18):
-

Subaru Pro R take a trip to the Ring to drive the Rent4Ring Brz
Keethos replied to LFA's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Agreed, and was that the Litchfield BRZ he was chasing? Not the one at the end where he was standing, that had gold wheels and no decals. -

When will cookie/cache issue be resolved for posting?
Keethos replied to Lauren's topic in Requests & Issues
I got this last night on my mobile while using chrome, I reloaded the page (after ticking an option that reads "Request desktop site" but don't think that was the fix) and the rest of the buttons appeared.....no idea if this is of any help at all.....what browser you using? -
No but the hybrids in the Lexus' (Lexi?.....like the one Adrian drives) has some power in them which is what they'll probably use or something similar!
