Brand New forged Advan GTs with Yokohama Tyres
Keethos replied to pwrout's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Cool, I'll close this for you, let us know if you need it reopening. -
Come up yourself so big Keith can give you a big hug!!!!
-
It's a real shame that it's all come down to this Keith, but when one chapter ends, another begins and I hope you have as much fun with the next project as you did (when things were going right) with your first 86 project. I hope to see you back in the TSS though Keith, we can be the 2 Keith's taking on Lauren and Kev

Without someone else with an 86 to try it, it's difficult to tell, best bet is taking back to the dealer, maybe even have a quick drive in one of theirs to feel the difference (rather them poking around and just saying there's nothing wrong without really knowing), or see who's near by and organise a mini meet to try their's out.

I felt a nice change with a remap, Adrian from Fensport does on the road mapping which is what I went for but Mark at Abbey Motorsport and Mike at Tuning Development do on the dyno mapping. You'll feel a bit more oomph, a bit more eagerness with the engine and they can narrow the torque dip at 4k. Besides that, I get some fancy extras like flat foot shifting, rev matching (if you can't toe heel) and launch control (which I still haven't tried) but not only that, I also technically get a little bit more mileage if I was to be sensible. I also had them remove the loud start up where the car idles at 2k when you first start up in the morning, with a louder exhaust, I thought I'd best not piss off the neighbours too much.

Are there no lumbar support cushions or nets that can fit to the seat? Or maybe even getting some nice fancy bucket seats with added lumbar support or something?
-
Looks to be a good meet! Come on people don't be shy! The more the merrier!

Whether it's wet or dry, I'd personally use the primacys, winter tyres can feel a bit wobbly especially if they get extra hot which can happen quite quickly, plus weather it'll be wet or dry, you'll still end up with 5mm of tread on the primacys.

Milltek Secondary Cat Exhaust for sale
Keethos replied to Captain G's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Cool, I'll lock this then, let us know if you need this reopening at all. -
Those black with polished rims look good, only gripe is they are way to flat on the face of the spokes for my liking but they look awesome on a white car nonetheless.

Welcome to the club! Done much to the car at all?

CobraSport Non Res - Droning at cruising speed
Keethos replied to kurosagi01's topic in Modifications
I'm sure people who still had the 2nd cat still found the Cobra non res way too loud and would drone while cruising, I had a non res without cat and I was setting off car alarms and almost didn't get on track (108dbs with a 105dbs limit). With the 2nd cat still in play it's not as bad but I believe it's still pretty loud. -
Awesome stuff!

Cool, I'll close this then, if you need it reopening for whatever reason, just let us know.

I was wondering when this was coming out, thanks for the heads up. Don't actually have the sound track so can't say I do

Congrats and welcome to the club!

Does the life time warranty transfer to other owners?

Would you buy an ex publicity car?
Keethos replied to chris.tarry85's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I've heard stories from some JLR guys that often the press cars are made to a slightly higher tolerance partly due to the small numbers and because they want to make sure the press don't have any niggles and quality issues. Whether this is completely true or even if it applies to other companies who knows, but either way, congrats! -
Yay, another local joining the ranks \●/ Where abouts in Warwickshire are you based? If you want to check out the stock seats (or anything else on the car for that matter) just give us a shout, the stock seats are pretty good for cloth seats. Any plans once you find your car? Looks like you did a fair bit to your Yaris.
-
Looks like a good meet, shame I couldn't make it! And for those who haven't piped up, please feel free to join us at any meets and don't be shy to join in with any conversation here.
-
I'm assuming Lauren meant body kit wise since you're not going rocket bunny anymore. How much weight does all the tank and parts in the boot weigh and does that mean you can't lower the rear seats now?
-
As long as you keep the left with the right side of the car the same, I don't see a problem with having a mix between the front and rears, I was actually running Conti's on the front and Yoko's on the rear with no problems. This was because the rear Conti's wore really quickly and I wanted to try something different, the Yoko's seem to be lasting a lil while longer.
-
If the rear F1's are part worn, maybe check out ebay etc for some part worns for the front down the time being? Otherwise, I'd recommend Conti Sport 5's or even Yoko V105's P.S. congrats and welcome to the club!
