Welcome to the club Paul, where abouts in Leam do you work? And was that you who drove past me down the country lanes in between Balsall Common and Kenilworth a couple of weeks back?

Northern Meet/Open Day @ Tuning Developments
Keethos replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
Yeah a pretty good day, even if half the people who said they were coming didn't turn up and the M6 was choka on the way back with mega thick fog, even more so when Will and myself decided to take the back roads back part way down, Will did a fantastic job of keeping the pace going when you could see absolute bugger all. A big thanks to Mike, Nick and the rest of the boys for hosting this open day, nice BBQ, drinks, dynos and especially the ride in the TD86, very nice kit...and the noise.....waaaaahhhhhhh tootootoot....sounded awesome! It pulled very nicely, very smooth, linear, and did I mention the screamer pipe? WAAAAAHHHHH tootootoot I'm a big kid...... Great to see some familiar faces and some new ones too, hope to see and chat to you all again sometime soon! @Adam, you're a bugger and have stolen my precious wheels, I want them back!!! @Lauren, Adrian mapped my car on the road so I'm assuming it's tailored more towards the feel and the mid range pull (i.e. narrowing the torque dip) rather than chasing peak power, but I'm sure you could achieve that still from a remap if that's what you wanted (correct me if I'm wrong Mike). What I find a lil strange is making less power than before the more recent remap which included mapping out the high start idle and other tweaks due to new areas of the EcuTek software and my crash. I know you said that the crash wouldn't cause a loss in power but this might be a bit of a long stretch but what happens if something isn't completely straight and things aren't rotating as freely as before (we're obviously talking really minor), either that or Adrian's latest map has somehow reduce the overall power, either way, I've never really be chasing numbers to be fair and I like the extra bit of pull mid range, plus I'll be needing another remap as some point in the near future if I get a new manifold so we'll see. I've posted up pics in the pics section - http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/3262-tuning-developments-open-day-011115/ -
That is was, and I didn't even realised until a friend told me it would be busy earlier that morning, had to make a early trip up before it got really busy.

Hi Varelco, can you update your original post and title so people know that it's not sold and the price please? If you could also post up some pics that would be great. Thanks.

I'm using the SanDisk tiny 32gb stick no probs. I've got a portable hard drive that I can test out when I get a moment.

Not sure what options you have if you don't want more dust as most of the aftermarket pads are designed more for performance this usually more dust but I could be wrong. I ran stoptech pads for a bit which were a lot cheaper and had good initial bite but a lot more dust.

Lol, that was me, I was working at Blackpool College for 2 days but this meant half term so on street parking cos the hotels were rammed....was a lil worried with all the cars driving past.

Cool, I'll start locking these Lee, if the need reopening for whatever reason, just let us know.

Oh right, corrected my post.

It won't need replacing I don't think, just a clean I think....Can't remember how often though.....come to think of it, I've not actually don't mine at all.....but I have a feeling Rich might have given it a quick clean every time I'm there for a service.

Yeah, looking awesome that !

Yeah no idea on max limit, but I'm sure there is, you might want to double check what formats it can handle i.e. if it's just FAT32 or NTFS. Normally you wouldn't have anything over 100GB in FAT32 format (that I know of anyways) so theirs usually either a limit on the head unit reading anything bigger than a certain size or you are limited to the type of memory stick. But if the head unit can read off a stick that has been formatted to NTFS and it reads it fine, then I'd like to think that there's no limit....but I could be wrong.

[emoji28] few.....not just me then [emoji16] either way, unless a training course pops up in that region, I doubt I'll be able to make it, wouldn't be able to get down there for 8 and would only stay a short while before having to shoot back again....especially on a work night.

Congrats and welcome to the club Gordon. I'd definielty recommend running any new car in, but not necessarily to as strict instructions as those in the manual. People can argue that manufacturing tolerances are better now days etc but there's other things that need running in (e.g. tyres, brakes etc) so just a bit of mechanical sympathy wouldn't hurt.

Am I the only one who didn't understand a word of that? I'm assuming some people from Malta, namely Iddrew and his crew, are visiting in Essex Monday night at 20:00 on the 16th November....did I miss anything out?

I think currently, a mega low suspension kit wouldn't sell that well as majority of the owners of the 86/BRZ's are car handling enthusiasts so slamming the car wouldn't be an option. However, there are still plenty of people in the UK who love to slam their cars but this is usually done to cheaper cars and done by....how to politely say it....a certain class of people(?), where super slammed and stupid camber is cool. So I reckon as the price of the 86/BRZ drops far enough that more of these kind of people buy into the 86/BRZ, then we might start to see a need for these super low kits....but personally you'd be doing us all a favor if you didn't bring the product to the UK [emoji13]

Any recommendations for aftermarket wheel suppliers?
Keethos replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Fensport, Amber Performance and I'm pretty sure Abbey Motorsports can supply wheels, from Rotas to Rays. -
Congrats and welcome to the club! Got any plans for the car at all? Mods? Trackdays? Car Shows etc? No real issues with the car, the odd niggle here and there.

Northern Meet/Open Day @ Tuning Developments
Keethos replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
Wow this is turning into a rather big meet....Can't wait! Shotgun having a go in the Turbo first [emoji13] -
Ok Nige, I'll bite why have you modded the trans tunnel but I'm also interested in why you've said that you don't think the car has enough caster, what is the stock caster angle and what angle would you want and why?
-
Cool, I'll lock this for you, just let one us moderators know if you need this reopening for whatever reason.

It's crazy that they still don't offer reversing cameras!

Unexpected things you Disike about the GT86
Keethos replied to remal's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
You don't have to download, just rip your CD's onto your computer and then just copy them across to a USB stick, it's a very simple process.
