It looks alright from a distance but close up, it looks really tacky to me, too many slap on plastic bits and for some reason the rear wheels look tiny compared to the fronts. I'd be interested in test driving one but if I had to go FWD, I'd probably go Megane RS.

[emoji47] That definielty isn't normal, not sure what could be the problem though....vvti issue maybe?

Hello and greetings from Essex - I'm the owner from new of a black BRZ

I managed to get about 365 miles out of about 45 litres which works out rough about 36mpg (I think). And this was 80% motorway driving at sensible speeds, it's the furthest I've ever got out of a tank I think. I usually only get about 280 miles. -
Jeff, you'd probably struggle as it does look quite low. Good work Ian, I'll lock this now, if you need it reopening at all, just give us a shout.
-
You still have these Rab? Could you actually post up a price that you'd want roughly please? Thanks.

As I sit on the same toilet that Mike passed out on to write this message [emoji14] it's a pleasure to report another awesome BBQ this year so a big thanks again to Rob and his family for having us around, supplying food and drink to us all and especially for letting me crash the night. Also a big thanks to those who turned up, it good to see you all again and it was good to meet a new member who's eagerly waiting to pick his up.

You will notice a difference, how much I'm not 100% sure if you went just remap as I had the remap after the exhaust and stuff so it was probably a bit more substantial, but you'll find that the car will be a lot more eager, the torque dip will be massively narrowed so it's a lot less noticable and you'll probably gain a bit more mpg since your car will be tuned and optimised for the UK roads/fuel that they will work more efficiently thus gaining more miles to the galon.

That is pretty cool dude!

Damage to "carbon" section of rear bumper BRZ
Keethos replied to Solwood's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I can confirm that the rear bumper is one whole piece with the coloured and carbon effect areas. -

Good work!

I watched as the guys at Abbey Motorsports fitted mine and it looks pretty straightforward, but that's assuming you've got the right tools and can lift the car high enough. Plus I'll be there at Japfest 2 too.

Another good tip is to declare things that you might eventually get done so you don't add them later and get charge Admin fees each time you add a mod.

1. It shouldn't but this will heavily be determined by your dealer, some dealers will claim you have voided your warranty completely because they either believe that (even though it's incorrect) or they just don't want the hassle/risk that they can't claim the work through Toyota. The actual fact is that if you change anything on your car, you lose the warranty on that part only, the rest of the car is still covered unless something happens due to this new aftermarket part. For example if you replaced your suspension and you then have problems with your engine, you'll still be covered as changing the suspension would have nothing to do with the engine failure, but if you had slapped a turbo on there and started to have engine problems, you might struggle to get that covered. 2. With regards to insurance, I would personally declare everything, each insurance company work slightly differently so some might need to know the simplest of changes like stickers while some don't. So rather than risking voiding your policy, I'd declare everything. One of the guys on here had a small crash and had to claim it through the insurance company, now when they assessed the car, they almost voided the whole insurance policy because they thought he had a turbo fitted when in fact it was just some aftermarket hoses (retarded I know), so if you ever do claim, make sure you've declared everything or else they could easily void your insurance. Also something worth noting, some insurance companies don't like mods or only allow a small number of mods.

Good work and does sound reasonable, but just a note, service intervals are every 12 months or every 10,000 miles depending on which occurs first, so if you do a lot of miles, asking for free services for 3 years might be a tough call, if they agree, they might just give you 3 free services rather than actually free servicing for 3 years if that makes sense, that's how their 3 years service package works.

There aren't that many other exhausts that I would personally get besides the Cobra as I really like the deep tone with less tinny rattles at high revs. I'm sure others will pipe up but you might want to meet up with some of us with the Cobra system to hear exactly how loud they can be. I had to swap for a resonated pipe in the end as I failed the noise test at Snetterton which has a limit of 105dbs, I got 108dbs which is pretty loud when you think about it. This was after a couple of months after they were installed so they would have carboned up and technically quietened down by then plus I also had the 2nd CAT delete as well which didn't help. I could have probably lived with it but because I wanted to be able to get on track and didn't want to drive the neighbours crazy, I decided to change....you know when your exhaust is too loud when you're setting off car alarms upon start up.

There is a 12v cable leading into he back of your head unit that you could splice into which I've did when fitting my reversing camera when I was worried the 6v (I think) camera lead wouldn't be enough to power the camera I'd brought, turns out it was and now I've got a spare 12v connection behind my head unit.
-
A lot of people questioned why I needed a reversing camera when I was first querying about them, quotes like "learn to park" etc were thrown around and all didn't understand the idea of actually properly seeing what's behind you when you can't actually see anything lower than an average child. Reversing into a spot isn't the issue, it's knowing how far back you can actually go when there's a nasty little stump that you can't see through your back window. Having a reversing camera is so much more reassuring than sensors or guess work.

It's a warning to say they are on so don't put a baby seat there, at the side of the dash, there is a key switch which will disable the passenger air bag so you can have a baby seat at the front.

Congrats and welcome to the club. Glad to see you enjoying the car so much and all the niggles you've mentioned can all be fixed one way or another. Having problems getting your head around the smart key? Just fire questions our way and we'll try and get your head around it for you. Poor visibility while reversing, get a reversing camera. Knocks and rattles may eventually go away or you could hunt them down and see why it's knocking/rattling...either that or just crank the music up [emoji12] and as for stone chips, you can get protective films that self heal to protect your car from stone chips, or just not worry about it for the time being and get it resprayed at a later date.
