Haven't tried those 2 exactly but I do have something similar but as a square block which allows the car to sit on the axel stands with less movement/sliding around. I went for the square ones because my axel stands are a flat Y or C shape (depending on how you look at it e.g. \__/ shaped) which means the seams slip/slide around a little where as the rubber jack pads seem to stop this from happening.

Thanks dude, so the exhaust sits central to the stock tips? That good to know for if I go TRD, I only want to change the tips rather than the back box as I already have a Cobra exhaust system.
-
Congrats and welcome to the club. I know 1 or 2 guys here who wish to do the same to get the most out of their NA cars but like Lauren said, it will be pricey.
-
Awesome stuff dude, love the story thus far! I don't evny you that much with the decision on which FI system but still envy you going FI. Any chance you have any additional pics of your rear TRD kit with the stock exhaust?

Awesome stuff dude, looks like an awesome event. What exactly was the Porsche dude expecting? What was he problem?
-
It really does look awesome with all those stickers on! Have a blast dude!

Yeah, the Cobra system can be pretty loud, especially if you have the 2nd CAT deleted and you went non res....108dbs which as you can image is pretty bloomin loud [emoji12]

I can see them Lauren, good stuff Kesler!

Congrats and welcome to the club!

Forgive me for my ignorance but is it fair to compare different brands of coilovers from different cars? For example, can you compare BC coilovers off a Mini against Tein coilovers off a Golf? Do a certain brand have a certain type/style/tech of suspension system that is the same weather it's for a Audi or a BMW etc? Or do coilover companies design, develop and make coilovers specific for a certain model which in turn would be different to a different model from the same Car company if that makes sense?

It's to be expected with any kind of aftermarket panels, even the more expensive carbon fibre stuff like from Seibon can be troublesome to fit

Looks pretty good actually!

Definitely an interesting choice of wheels there, looking forward to what you do with them and to see them actually on the car....car to share the photoshop pic too so to give us an idea on how it'll look?

Maz is on here (username - hashiriya) and he's the director of HKS Europe, an awesome and very knowledgeable fella! His car has been featured in this vid but I have a feeling that the car is only running the V1 HKS Supercharger where as now he has the V2 Supercharger. Can't believe you drove his car around the track Kev, so Jealous!
-
Lol, whys that Nigel? What have you done with the 2 you've already got?
-
Even with NA cars, you can feel the car is a lot more eager when it's cold and damp compared to a dry hot day.

The twin charged 86 in Australia uses the Avo Turbo and the Sprintex Supercharger but surprisingly the turbo is what kicks in first and then the supercharger at the top end, opposite to what I thought it would do (i.e. Supercharger down low and Turbo charger up high). They didn't gain much power but their power and torque curves were impressing. If I had loads of money to burn, I'd do it....just for the shnits and giggles, it'll definitely be interesting to drive!

Everything on OR sport mode OR traction control off
Keethos replied to trashy's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Normally all on, mostly because I keep on forgetting about it. Turned it all off once to see if I could drift around a tight bend, did it but faced a lamp post which I managed to recover from but that meant never trying that again until I've had more experience going sideways, otherwise I don't really see the point of turning it all off while on public roads. On track fair enough but again I keep on forgetting about it. -
My bad, I was getting the vibe that people were saying you wouldn't need to tweak the map rather than you wouldn't need to tweak that map much.
-
You may say that between different exhaust system you wouldn't need to adjust much but surely these minor adjustments along with the fact that each car is slightly different from each other still warrants a custom map to be tweaked to suit your own car no?

Whoops, I do apologies [emoji16]

Arh beat me to it
