I knew you'd approve....was thinking of keeping this hush hush [emoji14] the main reason again is because of the concaved face and secondly, I'd like to go FI at some point in the distant future so don't want to have to get another set of wider wheels at a later date. 18 x 9.0J Face 1: 18 x 9.5 Face 2:

I'm currently thinking Gram Lights 57FXXs or 57GETTERs 18x9.5 all round

2013 Pearl White GT86 TRD, cheapest in the country

Same here, all the best! -
Problem is the wheels I want only have 1 offset option (I believe) for 8.5 and 9.0 widths and they are what they call a Face 1 design, where as the 9.5J are a Face 2 design which is a lot more concaved.
-
Was that after you told them you went on track with them? Or did you leave that bit of info out?
-
Oh right.......cos I'm GANGSTA!......and that I'm lazy.....soz Lauren [emoji14]

Little business? You've lost me? Plus I'm thinking of going 9.5J so I'm thinking possibly going 235/40 or 245/35 Primacys, hopefully they'll won't over tyre the car too much.

Even after 2 weeks? I remember glazing my brakes at Mallory but I don't remember them taking that long to go back to normal again. Then again, I also don't remember how much they juddered at the time.
-
This maybe a bit of a crazy idea but what are the chances of the Primacys in wider form still being less grippy? Could I counteract the extra width grip with some Primacy tyres to make the car a lil less grippy while the car is still NA? Thus getting wider rims for the concaved look while still having a relatively predictable loose back end?
-
The Continental Contact Sport 5's felt a lil wobbly to begin with but once worn in, they handle very well, the rears could still step out a little in the wet but no where near as much as the Primacys, but had massive amount of grip in the dry. HOWEVER, my rears after 7 months have worn down to pretty much the legal limit.....only just found out after dropping them off for a refurb There seems to be plenty of tread left on the fronts, will need to get an pair to replace the rears but I might try something else next time round purely out of curiosity.

Things really aren't going your way are they? [emoji20] But it'll be worth it in the end, I had had a pretty nightmare of a time getting my car from my local dealer.

Sorry to hear this G man, hopefully you'll get this sorted soon. It's not surprising that you struggled to get a response from Litchfield, they don't seem to have very good rep amongst us 86er's. What might be worth querying is that if you purchased new, and then got a refund for the return of old, since you have technically purchased new, does that mean you now get lifetime warranty on the new exhaust? If so then go for it, do whatever you need to get them swapped over, if not, I'd personally consider a different system. As you might have read on another thread, Lauren has now had her 2nd set of exhausts so there is a chance that even after you get this new replacement, you might suffer the same outcome again later on at which point I don't think they'd be as willing again.

Another BRZ Front Fender Side Fin Group Buy from Japex

Right, just bumping this as I'll be ordering these tonight. Apologies for the delay. -
Awesome stuff dude, we need to meet up at some point once you've picked her up! You manage to source some BRZ side vents? I've got a group buy running at the moment if you want in.

Oh right, my bad

Why would this interest you Rob? Why would you need another set?
-
LOL, it'll scratch an itch but it might leave a hole in his heart when he gets his though [emoji14]
-
Nah, your not the only one, there are quite a few on here.....Spec K being an especially grumpy one at times
-
Thanks for the info Jay, any ideas how much you need to lower by before it affects you?
-
Lol, no idea about a GT85 Drivers Club but it's fine on the GT86 Drivers Club Non GT86 General Chat Section [emoji14]
-
Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the club!
-
Is it fair to say that these would only really benefit those who have or are going FI? Not much benefit for those still NA?
-
Thanks all, and yes Lauren, I'm hoping for a yellow similar to the Renault sport yellow (always regretted not getting that colour option when I had my Clio 200). And Keith, it won't be the same type of yellow, it'll stand out more, pop, shimmer and all that lovely stuff. And Forza's great, spent many hours doing different paint jobs, colour schemes and designs....wish there was a something similar on the PC cos doing this stuff via controller was a pain!

A bit of an update for people, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! After another long week working at Bentley (which has now come to an end), I was hoping to sleep in today, however, the day of relaxation turned into a rather busy and productive day. To begin with, I needed to visit the guy who gave me the mega low quote to discuss the quote for extra bits that I'd like him to do as well as having the whole car resprayed a liquid yellow colour. This guy I am referring to is an old fella called Alan Artus who is based in Birmingham and has been there for many many years now. For the work that needs to be done, repairs including some of the main parts (I will be supplying some parts myself), colour change while making some bits black (e.g. roof, front lip etc) and fitting + painting black, Rob's DWC body kit that I got off him, he's quoted me roughly £5k which is crazy considering some of the other quotes I got were around the £6-7k mark just for repairs and colour matching. Now as mentioned before, sounds too good to be true but he's been highly recommended to me by 2 guys who's used him for years, from small repairs to full restorations, I even saw a pimped out Jag XF what was a write off that had been repaired, resprayed and fitted a load of the R-Type bits to it and it all looked very good work. So I'm happy to say that my car has been provisionally booked in for the 1st of April (assuming that I can get the car to him on that date and I'm not off somewhere again for work). But before I make my final decisions on what I wanted to get done exactly, I wanted to mock up an idea that I did in Forza and wondered what it would look like in real life. So I prepped the rear of the car, removed the spoiler & number plate and started to spray it with Plasti Dip. First off I gave the car 2 coats of Gun Metal Grey as a base to help mask the white, then 2-3 coats of Black. Now having a black boot isn't uncommon, seen a fair few 86's with black or carbon fibre boots but they always have a black or carbon fibre spoiler too, I on the other hand had the idea of keeping the spoiler the same body colour and I think it looks friggin awesome, almost like the spoiler is floating/separate to the boot but following the body. I must say, proper chuffed with the outcome both the look and the actual spray job considering it was cold and windy. This was just a mock up before deciding whether or not I should do it when I get my car resprayed in a liquid yellow and have the front lip, the roof and now most probably the boot painted in black while they're at it. Good thing about Plasti Dip is that if I didn't like it, I could just peel the stuff off. And while I was working on the boot, I thought it was a good time to fit some goodies I purchased off NigelR32.....some smoked Valenti taillights which looks the dogs biznitz! Then after all that, I was helping out doing deliveries all night Initial D Stylie I've got other plans for the car while it's getting repaired but I will leave that a surprise for now
