Another BRZ Front Fender Side Fin Group Buy from Japex
Keethos replied to Keethos's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Lol, not only is it more aero dynamic, it also adds an extra 5bhp [emoji16] Only jesting, very much doubt it makes any difference, unlike the TRD version which I believe makes a bit of difference. -

where is everyone? no one else? -
Hey all, apologies for the slow response to this, been away on business. Looks like the date for this will be the 21st (sorry Nigel). I've had a chat with the restaurant and we can book our tables no problems but we need to give them a heads up on orders, so those who are interested in eating with us, could you please take a look at the menu here http://www.dc6diner.com/PDF/menu26012015162155.pdf and let me know what you'd like to eat for you and your partner if they are coming. If you could let me know asap, technically don't need to list of food till the Thursday before but to be on the safe side, I want to get the list together a lil earlier so if people can let me know by Tuesday 17th Feb, gives me a couple of days to sort stuff out and a couple of extra days for any stragglers. Thanks all!

Great news people, as some of you know, I've been meaning to get myself a set of BRZ Front Fender Side Fins for my GT86 for a while now and the best source so far has been Nathan from Japex Trading. He currently sells them for about £134 off ebay as seen here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271355811925?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Nathan has kindly offered a group buy price of £105 for each set including delivery for at least 5 people. If we can get more people on board then there's a good chance that Nathan can lower the price of each set a bit more but I'm not sure how far he'll go, and again, would depend on our final numbers. The price thus far is for a single delivery to one single recipient (probably myself) and then I would ship the parts out domestically. Alternatively he could ship them out individually but that'll probably cost more but not too sure which would be cheaper overall. If it turns out that it's cheaper to send them out from here then what I'll probably do is pay for the entire shipment and people can pay me but if it's going to be cheaper for Nathan to ship them out individually then we can each pay in via Paypal. Either way, expect the price to be a little more than £105 for individual delivery and possible customs tax, whether it's from me or Nathan (unless we can get more people on board that is) or you can wait until a meet to pick it up. This group buy will remain active for about a month so it gives people to see this thread and get more interests The colours as per his auction site are as follows: · Tornado Grey/ Dark Grey Metallic/ Asphalt (61K) · Storm Black/ Crystal Black Silica/ Raven (D4S) · Mount Fuji Red/ Lighting Red/ Firestorm (C7P) · Thunder Silver Metallic/ Sterling Silver Metallic/ Argento (D6S) · Sonic Blue/ Galaxy Blue Silica/ Ultramarine (E8H) · Pegasus White/ Satin White Pearl/ Whiteout (37J) So those of you who are interested, please add your name to my list, add what colour you'd want from the list above and state if you wish for it to be "Delivered" or to "Collect" at the next possible meet: 1. Keethos - White (37J) 2. Special K - Blue (EH8) - Collect 3. GT86Jay - Red (C7P) - ? 4. Mike - White (37J) - Collect 5. faith - Black (D4S) - Collect 6. Markinstoke - Red (C7P) - Collect 7. Fusion - Blue (E8H) - Collect 8. Chris (Tarmacsportz) - White (37J) - Collect 9. rob275 - White (37J) - Collect

Welcome to the club James! You'll be in good hands with Adrian and the remap with do wonders for you, more pick up, bit more power, more torque mid range thus minimising the torque dip at 4k, some lil toys such as rev matching (if you can't toe heel), launch control and flat foot shifting. And as an extra lil bonus, better fuel economy.
-
Continuing with what Mark just said, revs do drop quicker so I found that I had to adjust my timing of toe heeling on normal roads (rather than balls out on track). What I have also read though that with all these light weight internals, you are more susceptible to idling problems, if true, I'm sure you could map that out.
-
No idea about the maths side but not sure about the horse power increase. You definielty get more response and urgency to get going but I've not really noticed or seen more power in any way. Though I wondering if it's now too sensitive sometimes as I have noticed that my car feels a lil more jerky sometimes and it often feels like when I get a sudden jerk, my foot moves a bit which ends up adjusting the throttle thus making the car jerk more.....or it could be something else entirely that makes my car feel jerky.

Psss call that snow? You should see the snow walls I was driving through around the EVO Triangle before my first track day over at Anglesey

Awesome stuff Lauren, glad you and Jamie managed to get some good runs even in this weather. Always love your write ups!

Get a room you two.....I want one too [emoji13]

-
Awesome stuff Ian, hopefully they find the c*unt too!

Thanks Chris but I've got my eye on Rob's body kit at the moment but thanks. Any ideas if the JR3's are more, equal or less concaved as the Rota Grids?
-
Looks good Rob, still very tempted mate. So how much clearance do you reckon you lose with this kit on?

The more the merrier Minion, and feel free to post up a new thread in the newbies section introducing yourself along with what you've brought and if you have any plans for your car. Nigel, hopefully you'll find the strength to come if it is the 21st we decide in the end but not to worry if you can't. Lol, sorry Mark, I thought you meant others from the other forum possibly [emoji14] Lauren, I'll give them a call and see if they'll allow Indy in, hopefully you three can make it too.
