Well, from what I can see on Google maps, looks like plenty of parking about, even an overflow area which might be a good spot for some nice pics.

Awesome stuff, might give these a go, at some point in the near future, them and the valenti rear lights would go very well together me thinks [emoji5]

Awesome stuff, be good to see you again Dave, it's been a while! I'll update the list this evening.

I might be up for this but it'll heavily depend on where I'll need to be on the Monday for work i.e. whether I'll be at the office or on site somewhere and if it shortens my distance there or not.

Looks like we've got a few interests here which is nice, but I'm expecting more people! Where are you Deacon? TankGirl? Pitman? Who else is from around the Midland area? Markinstoke? Chris@Tarmac Sportz? Nigelr32, SkallyB and Tweedbean, can you guys let me know which of the two days you can make it please? So anyone have any objections to meeting at the DC6 Diner in Coventry then? Anyone else have any other suggestions perhaps?

The 200 was awesome mate, really enjoyed owning her and was very close to keeping her, but I got what Chinese people call and ichy arse and wanted a change, so looked at the Megane 265 as an 'upgrade', spec'd out what I wanted and what was great at the time was that Renault was offering 0% interest over 4 years (with a 30% deposit). I thought brilliant, it'll be silly not to upgrade, but when I came to order the car, the sales guy turned around and said actually, we'll need a 50% deposit instead which I just didn't have, so I said screw that, I'll look else where. But then I spotted the 86 so I went for a test drive in one. Got to say, it didn't wow me, especially since I was test driving an auto at the time but I really liked the look and the idea of it. To me it was more of a side step rather than an upgrade as on paper, the 200 and the 86 are very similar, same weight, same power just RWD instead. But after getting it and driving it properly, I've grown to really love it and feel how different it is to the 200. In the Clio, you throw her around the corner and it just sticks on rails and goes around it, where as in the 86, it'll stick to begin with but then you can start to play with the car by adjusting the throttle and just makes the car more lively and entertaining to drive. So definitely not regretting not getting the Megane now, plus I find the seating position in the 86 a million times better than the Megane, the Megane felt a lil awkward as you had little foot room and the handbrake being on the other side, you can really tell that it's a left hand drive at heart and was bit bias to it. I actually looked briefly at a 350z but decided against it purely down to 1 thing and no joke, it was because it didn't have Keyless entry and push start, after having that in the Clio, I'm spoilt and refuse to get a car without it now [emoji13] though the 370z has it but for some reason didn't even consider one, idea why [emoji44]

Just wondering Nige, once everything is put back together, would the inner plastic wheel arch moulding cover up your new spark plug access tubes? If not, will you be covering the holes up while driving? Would it even matter if they were exposed to the elements while driving i.e. getting water in there etc?

Build it yourself, it's a lot of fun and not that difficult, I can give you a hand if need be. I'm sure I'm Keethos or Ksongro on steam but rarely use it....I'm guna say it...but I'm more of a console guy (and before this turns into a PC vs Console thread, I know PC's can be more superior spec wise but I prefer the reliability/stability of consoles and their convinence).

Meet the racing midwife and her modified Toyota GT86
Keethos replied to faith's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Awesome stuff Faith, representing....but besides you mid wifing and lecturing, you didn't mention the distances you would travel for club meets and stuff cos you're almost as hardcore as me in that sense [emoji6] -
Awesome stuff Dan, seen these on ebay before and was close to getting a set after my crash but I wasn't sure if they were HID or normal halogen? Any ideas? Alternatively, could you retro fit the stock HID bits to these headlamp casings

Autosport Performance Show 2015 Pics
Keethos posted a topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
Hey all, Thought I'd share some pics I took while at the Autosport Show on Saturday, sadly hardly any GT86's I start with this interesting motor: Can anyone guess what car this is? (You keep quiet Will!!! ) A pretty friggin cool Police car but what could it possibly do? Catch up with a culprit and then what? It'll take you a couple of minutes just to bloody climb out....longer if it was me getting out Had a nice chat with the owner of this lightly tuned vehicle, part of a group who organises the Rally for Heroes even where you drive 3000 miles across Europe over 9 days which sounded awesome, hopefully the fella (sorry, didn't catch his name) will pop on at some point to introduce himself and to post something up about this event as it sounds awesome and I'm sure others would be mega interested! -
Welcome to the proper club Dan Congrats on the purchase and best of luck with the wait.....that is a bit of a wait! I look forward to hearing your thoughts after you've actually got your car and driven it some, especially coming from a Megane Sport as I came from a Clio 200 Sport and was on the verge of buying a Megane Sport (luckily the dealer messed me around and I opted for the Toyota instead). Got any plans for the car once you get it? Mods? Track days etc?
-
Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the club! You're in safe hands over at RRG Macclesfield, I travels 2 hours there for any warranty and service work rather than my local. I look forward to what you'll do to your car.

Awesome stuff Jerrick, were you the Asian fella with glasses I was chatting to about the super power pack? I was the other Asian fella with the white hoody. Apologies I didn't return, completely forgot [emoji14]

Arh there's no need for that Foulsmell, if he did sell his car, good for him, if he didn't and he changed his mind, again good for him, there's no need to call a man out like that [emoji5] I'll go ahead and lock it anyways Rob. Mikhail, if you want this thread reopening for whatever reason, let one of know.

Interesting new Tracktoy, supposed to be cheap and easy to work on, and it's made over in Norfolk I believe.....I heard that they were thinking of using the GT86 engine but with with the Ford ecoboost engine or something along those lines. -
They look quite nice, any pics of the forme 1 wheels?
-
Hmmm, I'm thinking that in keeping with my theme of a black roof, I'd might want the DCW kit but rather than paint matching, I would keep them black....but I just don't know if the sides would work and weather I should continue with the idea of having the front lip painted black on top of having the front DCW lip black as well....hmmmm.....

How long do you plan to keep your 86/BRZ?
Keethos replied to griffinnn's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I was guna say that I'd take the rear diffuser off your hands but if you need it to keep some holes covered, that's understandable.
