Awesome stuff Mark, do like the new wheels! And like Lauren has said, I wouldn't worry too much about the warranty as long as you've got a good dealer to work with, changing the suspension would only void the components directly related to the suspension system, so if you have an engine problem, you are still covered warranty wise etc! But again (even though it shouldn't) it would depend on the dealer you're dealing with. You are technically covered, but some dealers just don't want the hassle and refuse to sort the issue out and just claim that you've voided the warranty, but again, there are dealers out there who will follow the rules and still have you covered warranty wise for all the other bits like RRG Toyota in Macclesfield for example.

Congrats and Welcome to the club Butts!!! I look forward to seeing what you do with her and great choice of colour Please do keep us updated with your experience of the car once you really got to grips with the car and with all your mods too! Hope to see you at JAE!

It all depends on what time I get to finish work, but the latest I would get there is around 8pm but I should hopefully get there earlier than that.
-
I shall be there for foooooood!

Will & Rab - that is such a depressing image now both BRZ's are no more

To be honest, I'm surprised it's taken this long But it's sad to hear that not only has your pride and joy turned into a nightmare after all the work that you done to it, but that you've downgraded to a WRX STi sedan Sad times.....on a serious note, sad times and you will be missed!

Macclesfield Mini Meet - Friday 12th September 2014
Keethos replied to Keethos's topic in Social Meets
Why I oughta.....be more local That's a bit of a trek Keith, what you doing at RRG? -
Noooooooooo Will!!! I could have sworn you were going to get the BRZ with the WRC decals on.....can't bloody find the pic but here's kind of what I mean: Again, glad you and Paul are alright mate and I'm sure you'll have fun in the ST....it's no BRZ/86 but I'll let you off cos I do like them Fiesta ST's! And even the GTR, I'm sure once you get one, it won't be long before you yearn for a BRZ/86 again......still reckon you should have brought a cheaper 2nd one and spent the rest of the money beasting the car up! And like others have said, do come on down to JAE!!!

Macclesfield Mini Meet - Friday 12th September 2014
Keethos replied to Keethos's topic in Social Meets
Ah fair enough, I've got a fair few days left to use up too, especially since I had to cancel my 2 weeks holiday around Europe thanks for my lil accident Instead I'm taking a week and half off for JAE, Destiny (the game, not an "escort"....sadly) and then getting my car service while visiting my mate in Bradford for the weekend.......I live a rather sad and lonesome life -

Macclesfield Mini Meet - Friday 12th September 2014
Keethos replied to Keethos's topic in Social Meets
LOL, don't let my impromptu mini meet waste your holidays like, this was more of a "if you're free and have nothing else to do" kind of mini meet. -
Wow, awesome stuff, can't wait to see them all on and in the flesh!
-
Awesome sauce, this might turn into a nice little meet! I'll post up a separate thread. We'll have a nice selection of exhausts for Adam to checkout!
-
No problem Adam, you have any ideas what time you'll be around Macc? Anyone else around for an impromptu meet?
-
Look what the hailstones did to my car :-(
Keethos replied to faith's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Weren't they already like that Faith? Or did you already have them resprayed again before hand? Any dents and stuff on the car? -
Toyota shows off tweaked FT-1 concept
Keethos replied to GT86-Ian's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
And I really do like that Graphite colour very light or dark depending on the lighting conditions.....WANT!!! -
LOL, sadly Adam, they are wheels that I have been meaning to get all year but just when I was about to order them, they were out of stock....which was a good thing in the end as shortly after I binned it into a tyre wall....so glad I didn't have them at the time. But they are Rota Grid Drifts 18" x 8.5 but I'm planning on customising them as shown here: I want to stick on the clubs logo vinyls on the spokes, and here another mock up on what I'm ultimately trying to achieve roughly: THEY WILL BE MINE ONE DAY!!! I'll be up in Macclesfield on the 12th September so if you are around, you can checkout my exhaust to make sure you like the sound of them, I've got the 2nd CAT removed and slightly different tips (which I swear changes the sound slightly to others I've heard). I love the sound of them, did originally like the Milltek and was very close to getting it but changed my mind after hearing it at full chat, low down it has a nice deep burble but at full chat, it got a little tinny and too raspy where as mine has also has a low down burble and stays relatively deep/burbly but at a higher note as the revs build.....love it!
-
Congrats and Welcome to the club Adam. Think you've made a good choice colour wise and exhaust wise! If you are wanting to go on track with the car at all or are considerate of others around you then steer clear of the non-res, I got 108dbs at Snetterton which already allows a rather generous noise level of 105dbs.....luckily I was let on due to the poor weather conditions, that and I was setting off car alarms and what not when starting the car etc. But it did sound awesome and to be fair, the resonated version still sounds good too....just not as loud.....but I'm told people can still hear me coming
-
What is the issue with your gearbox/clutch exactly? I know a fair few people have complained about either really notchy gear changes or in my case, vibrating/buzzing noise when at high revs. Plus my headunit seems to be playing silly buggers at the moment too, doesn't free but does reboot itself especially after a phone call through the bluetooth
-
Excellent news Ian, as this is the case, I shall close this thread for you. If you need it re-opening at all, please let us know.
-
I guna make a lil Keethos logo to stick in there instead
-
So it does.....but how can they tell? Is it going to be one of those "was this you driving, if not name the driver" forms like you get if your vehicle was caught speeding or jumping the lights?
-
You details are important in this case I don't think, your mate would be held accountable, so weather he's driving it or your driving it, if it's not taxed, because it's his car he gets fined right?
