I need to get myself to Adrian again to get the new maps put on my car, even had it booked in to get it done along with putting on the Springs that Dave gave me.....that was before I bloody dinked it though, then I cancelled my appointment as I need to get the car fixed before I continue with any major mods. But at the moment, I'm setting off as soon as I start the engine to try and keep the volume down as there are old people and new borns in the area

LOL, Lauren has Tein coilovers, not Bilstein coilovers I know they still have the work tein in the name but still

Ah Cadwell Park, I visited there for the first time not too long ago in my 86, didn't time myself but I did record a lot of sessions and I think I got close to a 1:56 according to my second to last lap session 9 vid (pretty much the only clean run I got after getting used to the track). I did find it very intimidating as there was a lot to hit and very narrow trackway, plus a few areas where you could seriously cook your tyres and brakes which I was already running low on that day but it's such a fun and challenging track, I'd love to go back but possibly with some better rubber and new pads as I was still running stock tyres and pads at the time. Check out my post if you like: http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/1450-cadwell-park-8th-march-2014/?hl=cadwell+park

I'm sure I've already said this on the FB post but awesome stuff Dave! But agree with Lauren, more of description of what they thought of the cars performance and handling rather than just describing what you've done to it.

Hmmm.....could do, could give him a bell and see, but I don't know if his body shop would touch 2nd hand parts, I was under the impression that they only deal with new parts when fixing vehicles and what not, don't know if they're allowed to work on cat D or C parts.
-
I've just spoken to SJ Curtis and they've just told me that the written off cars get sent to CoPart (.co.uk) and as it's a cat D or C car, it'll get auctioned off as a whole, If it was a cat B then it would have been broken down for parts. I might keep an eye out to see what it goes for and if it's going for low money, I might get the whole thing and strip it for parts myself but I doubt that will be the case, I'm sure people will be jumping on it to get it fixed and sold on for a fair bit, who knows. Edit: Well, just spoken to CoPart and they said that they won't sell to the public, only to body shops, breaker yards etc and obviously can't tell me who they've sold to due to the data protection act and what not......so back to square one.....again, reckon whoever buys it will try fix it and sell it on rather than breaking it.....but we'll see.

My Clio ended up with some serious baked on bird crap, it was only on there for an hour or two but it was so hot that summer that it seriously backed, either that or the bird had serious diarrheoea cos when I removed it, it had turned the paint slightly yellow. Tried washing it, didn't try polishing it I don't think but it did eventually disappear over time........not really info to help.....just my bird poo story for the day

We'll I've spoken to her, she game me the name of the recovery company and now the garage that might currently have it but after speaking to the recovery company this morning, they weren't of much help, they would typically send the car out to whichever the insurance company tells them too but wouldn't look into this in more details as I wasn't the owner. I could possibly ask her to find out exactly where the car is going but I really couldn't do that to her, she's got enough on her plate at the moment as she's A ) bailey able to walk due to the air bags hurting her legs, B ) the silly woman that pulled out on her wasn't insured and C ) need to sort out another vehicle, sadly might not be another GT86 but possibly an S15. I'll probably give the garage a try but I'm not holding my breath, I'll just wait and hope it appears at a breakers yard and the doors appear on ebay or at least one of the breaker yard websites. I hope she gets better soon though!

Thanks for the heads up Steeps! I'd be very interested, but I agree, it might be a lil insensitive me suddenly asking her if I could have his passenger door Any ideas people? Edit: Just read the thread, glad she's alright, it'll be a shame for her to get something else since she seemed like an 86 enthusiast.

And now I'm tempted by the black side strips like these: Courtesy of TmjTeam Valais who also has lambo doors which look awesome!

Cool, I'll close this thread then, please PM one of us Mods / Admins if you need this reopening. -
Aren't the v105's more grippier too? So getting them on stock suspension would also not work too well no? Teg, Keith is suggesting trying the car at around 28psi cold so you'll get around 30-32 psi once it's warmed up but don't forget, that's Keith running on 17", since your running 18" you might need to tweak your pressure slightly to suit your comfort.

I'm sure Rob will be on to mentioned this in due time but the place he got his done did a pretty good job for a pretty good price, the only down side is it's down Salisbury I think which can be a bit of a trek for some. I'm considering going down there to get some bits done but only when I've got my other bits and bobs sorted out first.

Very nice! And welcome finally to the actual club rather than just the facebook group

But white and carbon fibre go well together....in the right areas (just the fenders being Carbon Fibre sadly doesn't work but roof, boot, bonnet, from lip and any small areas work very well). Ooooooo white bonnet with black vents all the way! But is it me or does that white not look right?
