That's a bummer Lauren but it's still guna be EPIC!!! Still jealous.....I wonder how much it costs extra to bring back over sized luggage? Someone suggested going to Japan for a trip while bringing back a body kit as oversized luggage rather than shipping it back

In my opinion, you feel the difference while you're driving, it feels...well....more positive, it does become a bit stiffer to get it into gear but it does feel like it locks into to gear better.....since it's only £30 odd, why not? Plus Fensport will most likely fit it for you for free since you're getting other work done, I went to get a remap and they actually took another car off the ramp, jacked mine up, fitted the mount and back down again within 15mins and didn't charge me for it.

Awesome stuff, bet you can't wait!

Rogue Motorsport just has them stored away in a pile in the corner somewhere with the rest of the parts they've removed, but they did say to me that other teams often sell them to a company who then sells 2nd hand stock parts to people or something....either that or eBay but not a lot on there at the moment.

Hi all, After chatting to Rogue Motorsport the other week, the mentioned that they knew quite a few other race teams with white GT86's who have probably removed bumpers, wings and even doors to put on light weight alternatives and might have those available for sale. They e-mail some people but I didn't get the names of any of these teams but it's a good, shout, more likely to get parts from a race team than a scrap yard. However, they've not got back to me yet even after 2 e-mails, I'll probably give them a call at some point to chase them up but I was wondering if anyone here knew of any UK Race Teams who are racing GT86's that I could try contacting directly.....besides Rogue Motorsport or Fensport? Thanks in advance! Kind Regards, Keith

My Birthday Surprise after Snetterton Modified Live.
Keethos replied to GT86Jay's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
It was a pleasure Jay and a great laugh! Must thank to your folks and those involved for organising this and inviting us along to this, really enjoyed our time there with your family and friends.....even though were we a lil divided and we kinda chatted amongst our group rather than chatting with other party members -
Yeah, thought not, I know it can introduce scuffs I think clay bars can dry out but it takes a while, I'll see if I can dig out my clay bar that's been sat in my garage for a couple of years now (which has been stored in a plastic box within the original cardboard box) and let you know if it's dried out or not

Hmmmm....never really thought about it and never really had a problem with the bite height, but thanks for the link, looks simple enough if I decide to give it a tweak!

Nice!

Awesome stuff Ian, I'll close this thread now that they're closed. Please do PM one of us admin/moderators if you wish this thread to be re-opened!

Welcome to the club dude, glad you could join us! And yes, this car is designed to be modified/personalised to each taste.....even if parts are limiting in the UK.....you just need to be willing to search a lil further to be more unique Keep up posted with your mods and do post pics.....we all love pics

I lost one of mine while at Lauren's, I could hear a rattle/buzz at around 4000rpm and while stationary outside her place, I started to rev the engine and I could hear the rattle again but all of a sudden PING and it stopped rattling. Thought it was a stone in the exhaust that was rattling and shot out but turned out to be one of the bolts (the one with the spring on the flex joint gasket).

Closing this thread as item has been sold, please PM either me, Rob, Alec or Lauren to reopen if this changes at all.

Looks awesome mate, like the blue touch to the car and same here, the rear lights are growing on me slowly too. Where is this phil fella and does he do all sorts of wrapping?

I'd like to say yes but at this rate.....may never happen unless I win the lottery But wasn't Rob running 9.5 all round before going FI? How did the car handle then Rob? So in what way would it be too much for stock? I've heard people say over tyring a car which I can kind of understand in terms of not being able to break traction easily due to extra grip but what else? Will the car not handle as well? Will it lose the nimbleness with wider tyres? And why would I need coilovers? Can I just use lowering springs, camber bolts etc? Anyone know if partially painting a carbon fibre panel is a doable/easy task? Do you pay less for less paint or the same if not more because of the extra effort?

This will not be applicable to you directly as each system is different, but as a rough idea, my Cobra non-resonated system with the 2nd CAT delete was reading about 108dBs, with a resonated pipe instead, I dropped down to about 89dBs. 108dBs IS LOUD! Not to say that this will happen to your system, I'm sure this isn't the case with Millteks but it will make it louder, the question is how loud and you won't know that till you try it (and probably after it's been ran/carboned up as it will get a lil quieter once it's carboned up). After more volume are we?

Awesome stuff!

Well this was what inspired me which I quite like the looked of:

Looks a bit tight that, but awesome stuff!

Welcome to the club, I've had an exhaust bolt ping off while reving my car once, I could hear a rattle and thought it was a stone in the exhaust. Interested to see what you've got planned for the car!

Right, I'm keen on these vented side wings but since I'd have to get them shipped from Japan, you're talking about £400 for the wings and then another £400-500 for shipping, then I'd have to get them fitted and painted which again won't be cheap, so I'm keen to go the route of getting carbon fibre ones instead which means I save on having to get them painted and they're available within the UK (i.e. the Seibon 10mm Wider Carbon Front Wings). This meant spending the evening doing more designing on old ye faithful....Forza 4. Here's my first attempted: This just doesn't quite look right around the rear quarter area, so then another thought came to mind, if I can get the red door off Rogue Motorsport, I could look at getting it wrapped in Carbon Fibre like I would the roof, the rear boot and bits of the front bumper to match and came up with this: And then lastly, thought maybe I'd change up my original design on having white wheels for black ones instead, especially since the Stop Tech pads seem to give off a lot of break dust, I'd be constantly cleaning the white wheels: or I might even go as crazy as having black and white wheels This does mean initially that since the fenders are 10mm wider, I might want to get some spaces for the wheels to bring them out for the stock wheels (especially since I find that they sit too far in to begin with, have 10mm wider arches will ultimately make them disappear into the car even more , but when I eventually get some new alloys...... eventually.....then I might go 9.5 wide all round to get that extra concaved look which I do like very much and it would mean they'd sit flush with the arches. What possible spaces could I get for the stock wheels and are there any down sides to widening the track this way? If I do get spacers for the front, should I also get ones for the back? And are there any downsides to going 9.5 wide all round? Thanks all!
