Awesome stuff Ed, sooooo......what exactly have you had done to your car now? Full details please
-
Looks awesome Keith!
-
Those are some pretty cool wheels and rather cool and funky colours! Still can't believe I was soooo close to ordering new alloys.....now I'm ordering spare parts well....trying to anyways
-
Arh it's all personal taste mate and like I've said before, I would have loved a yellow GT86 and I love your choice of alloys! But I agree with the others, for looks your car would look better lowered but not completely necessary, the 18's do seem to fill the arches a lil more than 17's but more to the point if you've got mega big speed bumps to tackle.

Donated dude! Hope you have fun.....I'd like to do a bungee jump at some point in life! Or even sky diving.....

Toyota Oulton Park track day
Keethos replied to keelerad's topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
Awesome stuff you guys, still jealous that you rocked up and got in on the action Just wish Toyota did more of these, not necessarily free one but at least at a subsidised rate like Renault do with Renaultsport owners. -

I brought these off ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370394336382?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 and these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370176588928?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 They work fine, no real problems besides the fact they were a lil tricky to push in (had to apply quite a bit of force to get them into position, I know Keith (Spec K) also had this problem but once in, they're fine. Edit - just seen Mike's links and they're the same I believe.....but cheaper I think.

Sorry for the late response to this, not been on for a couple of days, happy 86 day peeps! Glad you all had such a wonderful day out on the Evo triangle etc....wish I could have made it!
-
Yeah, like rob, mine rattles when it's not connected, just when it's loose.

Update Ian? You got the bad boy back yet? Is it fitted yet?

Managed to get the headlamp all cleaned up now....such a ballache.....but tried to test it out but found that the connecting wires are too bloody short....so to test it, it'll mean a full front bumper off, old headlamp out jobbie.....need to wait for a full sunny day for that one. Also.....thought today was a good day when I got a response from a breaker (after sending out more requests off the breakeryards.com site), from bumper plus front underside lining for about £100.....called them up and the geezer said "sorry.....seemed like that was an automated e-mail that sent out the wrong quote to you, sorry, seems like we don't have any GT86 parts"......................... ..................the wait continues

Welcome to the club Nerfie, glad you had an awesome start to your RWD experience and first track day supplied by Toyota.....wish I could have attended that! It's also my first Toyota and RWD and it was also the car I did my first ever trackday too and like you said, it often doesn't feel like you need any more power but there has been the odd occasion where I would have liked more (if it's just you on the road then it's brilliant, go up against a turbo diesel or something horrid like that and you'll feel inadequate off the line or on track). But I'd agree with Lauren, I'd probably take it easy first, get used to the car as it is, then once your 100% with it, upgrade, I stayed completely stock (bar drop in air filter) for a full year before exhaust (Cobra) and ECU remap which the car really needs and benefits from in my opinion.

Welcome to the club Adam, glad that you could join us! Tell us a lil about yourself, what spec 86 you've got and if you have any plans for her?

New footage of the up and coming Lexus RC F, looks and sounds nice. They are making this sound like a grown up version of the GT86/BRZ, staying NA, testing for feel and driver enjoyment rather than speed etc.......still keen on getting the LF Sport body kit to make my GT look similar to this

My Footage from Millbrook
Keethos replied to rob275's topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
LOL, what happened to no cameras? What happened to the whole what happens in Millbrook stays in Millbrook? -
Tis isn't it....I e-mailed the fella to ask how this happened, what he's replaced this with.....no response....might give him some crap on ebay
-
A new part....well 2nd hand but still......got a 2nd hand headlamp off ebay....new roughly £1k....ebay....£46 including delivery One of the minor tabs has broken but better than 2/3, possibly more broken on my. Could have stuck with mine I reckon but since it was so cheap, why not? Just wish the dude didn't use a battered box filled with bloody loose and small foam bit....this stuff has gone all over the place and even worse, into the nooks and crannies of the headlamp.....not impressed....had to whip out the company hoover which doesn't suck very well Can't really fit this until I get the front wing and whatever else in that region sorted first.

Congrats Keith!
