Castle coombe track day. 14th april
Keethos replied to CHOSENMAN007's topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
LOL, I don't think that would have helped as Mike was saying that with more force, the engine would end up turning too, it would have been a different story if he could get the air gun in as that would give it a sudden kick and probably get it off but he said he couldn't get the gun in there without removing the front bumper and everything.....I believe that's what he said......this was a while ago now -
LOL, what Rob said LOL, that's just me not knowing how the poll system works and me just playing around with it I need to get a decal or two off Mark at some point and see if Mike from Tuning Development has any....my car's been around a bit I think I will remove the Toyota lettering as there's too many small nooks and crannies for dirt to sit in and not very easy to clean, but thinking maybe moving the GT86 badge to a more central position?

Tis isn't it.....my bad....no ideas on the difference as they're both Centrifugal though aren't they?

Most people will know my answer to this as I typically always bring it up cos I'm just a big kid but if I had to choose a supercharger, the twin-screw Innovate would be my choice, like you I won't be chasing power (well I think I wouldn't but who knows when it comes to the modding bug) but for me, if going supercharger, it's all about the supercharger whine (like I said, big kid ). My knowledge of these systems are limited but the way I see it, if you're going centrifugal, then it would be hardly any different than going turbo. I understand where you're coming from with regards to superchargers suiting the base car in the sense of matching the same linear power and torque curves, but turbo's now day (and especially when tuned correctly via the ECUTek maps), you can still get that linear power and torque experience even from a Turbo, so I wouldn't necessary rule them out completely. You should definitely try them all out before you buy, Litchfield currently do the Vortech supercharger, Abbey do the Innovate Supercharger (but I'm sure he could fit others) and Fensport do the Avo Turbocharger. I've driven both the Innovate SC and the Avo TC, the Avo put a smile on my face because I was driving Pitman's beast of a car which had a boat load of umph and it delivered it in a very linear manner. The Innovate SC had less power and not as much pull but it still put a smile on my face whenever the whine kicked in.

Intec Japan Tail Lights Conversion Kit GROUP BUY @ 86WORX

That's a shame dude, hopefully see them in the flesh come Supercar Siege? -
I really do hope you get this sorted cos this is just not on....I'd be absolutely livid. Just a quick question, when your at high revs, do you get an buzzing from the gear stick? There is a notice in to have the gear stick replaced or a section of it placed to get this fixed, maybe see if they can get that done first, see if that will help at all (probably not but see if they're willing to do so as I've been told that there's an official notice to have these replaced or something along those lines).

Awesome, good to know!

I'm looking at getting my new alloys very shortly and I'd want them protected, so when you say wash and wipe with alcohol solution, do you mean wash with water and car shampoo of some sort, dry it off, then wipe down with alcohol or just wipe straight away with alcohol to clean the wheels? I've got a bottle of Isopropanol (IPA) which I think is 99% alcohol, would that be too harsh on the alloys paint thus needing to water the solution down or would it be ok as it is? Then when I apply the C5 solution, couple of drops on the applying pad and just wipe the whole wheel down (once the wheel is dry?), all nooks and crannies? Will the couple of drops do or would I need to add more? One pad per wheel? Then what do I do once all this has been applied? As I plan on sticking on some vinyl, do I stick them on before or after applying the C5 protection? As you can guessed.....never used this malarkey stuff before Thanks!

Cannonball GT Tunnel Run in London - 12/4/14
Keethos replied to faith's topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
Fair enough, I like a bit of tunnelling I was at Mira the other day (the automotive test site in Nuneaton where they have a bowl like track where the camber is massive) and to get out of the site, you go through a narrow but short tunnel under the track.....so obviously the windows had to go down and some revving occurred Sadly though Rob, that date might not be possible for me as I'll be on my way back from my mega Euro Road Trip. -
TINT AND TOW HOOK IN A ONER
Keethos replied to CHOSENMAN007's topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
LOL, glad you enjoy it.....I was rather shocked that I got one -
So all I'm hearing is you tweaking your settings to make it go round corners faster......which isn't like you Lauren, I'd have expected you to start tweaking your settings to make the car go round corners sides more How different would the settings be for this?

Awesome stuff, looking forward to more vids Faith.....but where was out invites? -
Is it just that snowfoam solution that's bad for the car or snowfoaming in general? How long did it take you in the end and how often do you clean your car?

Hmmmmm....looks good dude, how sturdy you reckon those hooks are and any chance you could post up a link to them on ebay for us? -
LOL, awesome stuff dude, love how 6 other cars and 2 push bike (LOL, I chuckled at that) were washed before you finished your car.....the others just seem to snow foam rinse and go.....does that really clean your car that much?

LOL, there is a part of me that is tempted to try these as I do find when I'm on track that I'm using my knees to help support my body.....but £169 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRD-JAPAN-86-DRIVER-CONSOLE-DOOR-KNEE-PAD-JDM-SUBARU-BRZ-TOYOTA-GT86-GT-GTS-/201060060740?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ed01d0e44
