Andrew Now that is a sweet little Triumph you've got there , my kinda bike , like that a lot and the LC also ticks a few boxes . Had a few brit twins & triples over the years and the LC is on my wanted list but I feel a stroker Kwack triple might just have to come first Nice bikes

I guess they expect you to have a rough idea how quick your car is going to run , I would expect a stock car to run around the 14.5 to 15 sec quarter , depending on conditions , so around 95ish mph at the finish so helmets shouldn't be compulsory , at least for any n/a cars
-
Helmets are required for any vehicle doing 110mph or faster at the finish line if memory serves me correctly , you'll need your driving licence to sign on as well
-
Owned Subarus before and have a good relationship with the dealer , there was one in stock when I was ready to buy , price didn't bother me , so the BRZ was an obvious choice , thinking back I never considered the Toyota , besides the Subaru's got a Z in it's name so complements my Kawasaki Z , just a 240z to go and my collection will be complete

Favourite Racing Car When Growing Up?
Buzzard replied to JamesP1991's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
These are a few of my favourites from years gone by -
I'll also give a big thumbs up for Simpsons , easy to deal with , so easy I've bought my last 4 Scoobys off them , know their way around a BRZ and it's service requirements , I'm 60 miles away from them in the opposite direction to Solwood and happily travel to have my cars serviced by them So if a silver one takes your fancy then I'd have no hesitation in recommending them I'm also in a silver BRZ and think it's a colour that works well on the car

Haynes International Motor Museaum Breakfast Meet - April 2015
Buzzard replied to Musketeer's topic in Social Meets
Musketeer , Due to the shift to the second weekend of the month the Haynes meet clashes with the monthly Queen Square meet in Bristol so probably going to skip Haynes this time around , be back in May though so hopefully catch up with you later in the year All the best -
Thought I'd post this up , link below for full details , just in case any others fancied a day of cars and donkeys at the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk/event/car-show It's on the same day as a Haynes Motor Museum breakfast meet so I'm planning on attending both and wondered if anybody else fancied one , t'other or both Aiming to be at Haynes for 9.00ish then leave around 10-30ish to head for Sidmouth , so maybe catch a few other owners on the day Cheers
-
Was going to talk to you about this at the next Queen Square meet , up for a convoy same as last time , suggest a McD's breakfast first just in case the food situation at Haynes hasn't improved !
-
Lindsey Well you can count me in on this , but you knew that Cheers

And a good afternoon to you to Spec K

Another SW rider here , until recently I was on Harleys but scratched that itch now , currently riding a 1977 Kawa Z1000 , never had a Z when I was young , so got one now before the prices go stupid. Don't get out as much as I'd like but puts a huge grin on my face when I do manage a few miles on it Kev

Ian No worries , am planning on doing a few of these during the year so should catch up with you at one of them if not before , it's a decent enough drive from Bristol with options across the Mendips and a good venue with proper breakfast available . It also seems to be gaining in popularity on Pistonheads etc so I'm expecting a good and varied mix of cars from across the south and west . Cheers Kev

Just a heads up for next Sunday if anybody is interested , it's the 2nd Haynes Museum breakfast meet on March 1st , the blurb from Haynes is below along with a link to a report on the first event . This is shaping up to be a very popular event so I thought I'd post details in case anybody else is interested in attending . I am planning on taking a drive down and hoping a couple of other SW owners might put in an appearance . Link to report on first meet http://themotor.net/?p=9880 Details from Haynes Venue: Haynes International Motor Museum Calling all motoring enthusiasts! On the first Sunday of each month we are running a breakfast club open to all marques. As well as meeting other vehicle owners, participants can chat over a coffee and a hearty breakfast (from a full English to a bacon roll) in Café 750. The new very popular Museum café will be open from 9am. So please do come and join us for a likeminded get together. The 1st February breakfast, our first Haynes Breakfast Club get together, is deliberately a low key affair to introduce what is sure to be a hugely popular monthly event. Café 750 will be open from 9am serving our full breakfast menu and Museum Curator, Matt Piper is looking forward to welcoming you. These events are free to attend and are a real opportunity for vehicle owners to show off their cars at the front of the prestigious Museum. This is the first time we have ran an event like this and we hope that you will join us for many Sundays to come. For the second breakfast club on the 1st March and future breakfast events: · Three Curator’s Choice VIP exclusive parking / show spaces on Haynes Green, the prime location immediately in front of Café 750; to register for one of these limited spaces please contact us via email marketing@haynesmotormuseum.co.uk stating your vehicle details attaching a current image. Closing date for entries Friday 13th February. Matt Piper, Museum Curator will select the three vehicles with the aim of always representing a broad spectrum of marques. The successful vehicle owners will be contacted one week before the event to arrange access to the elite spaces. We will also email all other entries to inform them of the results at this stage but of course we look forward to welcoming all marques to the club with equally open arms. Future dates: 1st March 5th April 3rd May 7th June 5th July 2nd August 6th September 4th October 1st November 6th December
