Rear Ended, Need Back Bumper Or 1 Tail light
GreenSpring posted a topic in Wanted GT86 / BRZ Cars and Parts
Hi I just got rear ended, hit and run.. I need a new White back bumper and 1 right-side OEM tail light, it's happened in a really awful time for me financially so any cheap prices will be appreciated, or some direction as to where I can buy these parts. I'm only 20 so I can't go through my insurance as it's a £750 excess anyway, as well as it effecting my no-claims. Thanks in advance -

That sounds great, can I get back to you later on that? Just trying to find prices for the bumper ect -
Hi guys, Have been lurking for a while and have talked a few times on here but never really introduced myself. I daily drive my white GT86 so it picks up a lot of miles as I have to commute quite far and find it hard to not go out for drives in my free time. I live in Swindon and you can often see me driving around following a black GT86. Really made the right choice in getting this car and wouldn't turn back. I hate keeping things stock but I'm trying to keep insurance low as I'm 20 years old so only small aesthetic modifications for now: TRD Spoiler, wrapped my roof gloss black, Plastidipped badges I am going to Japfest Donington and staying at the premier inn so I'm hoping to get to know some of you and see some nice 86's I'm also trying to learn photography so I'll take any opportunity to get some nice photos of your cars, if you're local and want some free, amateur photos of your car let me know!

Thanks for all the help. Just used WD-40 as it was the only thing I had around and it worked fine with a little elbow grease. Snapped the pins though.

Thanks, might have to go and get some good gone, I've heard good things about it Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk

It's really the easiest thing ever, however I've had to redo mine since as I didn't quite do a good enough job (me being a perfectionist). If you don't like it, it just peels off completely without any kind of tools, just your hands. Just mask off the area around it, otherwise you get little bits of overspray and it's just a little annoying to get off, put 5 coats on, 15 minutes between each coat, then let the last coat sit for 20 minutes and just peel off the bits you don't want. Thin coats. Really not something to be afraid of, I got my plasti dip off Ebay for £11 a can if you were curious

Thanks man! I'm trying to go to as many events as I can so I'm sure I'll bump into you and I always take my camera! The roof and spoiler are small changes but it really looks a completely different car now. Was a fun learning process to wrap the roof too

I'll do 31 plus postage Sorry, didn't actually see how recent you asked haha

I am considering this, would you post it? If not, are you going to Japfest Donington?

Do you think I should contact Toyota before hand? Just to make sure the garage I go to will be covered? Don't want to pay so much at Toyota when I could pay £100+ less for arguably better service elsewhere

Welcome to the forum, If you're looking into a lot of aftermarket bits I'd definitely go for a low-mileage used one and use the money you saved to make it your own. And I'm not too keen with the front of the 17 model, but that's just my opinion. You definitely made the right choice to not be put off by the lack in power, it's an extremely fun car!

My car is due a service in a couple of thousand miles, which won't take me long. Does it void the warranty to get it done elsewhere or must it be done through Toyota? Thanks

Hello I am going to purchase my first GT86 in March and I'm really excited. I'm looking to purchase from a Toyota dealer and just wanted to know how strict they are on what voids the warranty. What kind of mods could be done to it? I'd like to mostly do appearance mods as I'm only 20 and the insurance would screw me over on anything performance related. Thanks

How strict is the Toyota warranty?
GreenSpring replied to GreenSpring's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Oh, will give them a call later, would love to be able to do a few performance mods with most insurers I would have to pay another £100 for an aftermarket drop in filter or something haha. Thanks I guess I'll talk to my toyota dealer when I get the car, just getting a little impatient!
