Add me please, everyone else is getting one, I don't want to miss out.
-
Everyone is getting one? I feel like I'm missing out. Do I need one
-
Pilot sport 4's I'm getting those. I did struggle with my intake hose too, I thought it would be easy but as always things get in the way; so you have to undo a few more screws (then drop one and spend 15mins trying to find it) and just make it more difficult.

Exactly, maybe he meant the N1?

The Q300 is much louder? And I thought the Q300 is quiet.

Welcome, I sort of agree with you on steering wheel controls, providing they are conveniently placed out the way which most are, and it doesn't have loads of buttons then it's fine. I have gotten use to not having the controls on my GT86 now, but occasionally when some awful song comes on the radio and it's quite loud I would go to turn it down and hit a slight bump and turn the whole thing off. And the volume control is very annoying for me as I always have to have my volume as an even number (I don't know why but I do).

Welcome, nice car collection. A few of my mods were already installed too, just never know what sort of quality the work has been to fit them though.
-
Thanks for the pics. In a way, I'm kind of glad I didn't attend, all your cars look so good compared to mine
-
Aww thanks.. I'm still going 225, still bit of a stretch but not by much. Unless 215's are cheaper but at the moment the 225's are still cheapest. Cleaned and then had a go at a large stone chip Before After (in case it wasn't obvious )
-
Neither do I, but come winter there is so much grit / sand etc put onto the roads it gets all over the car. At least this minimises it going up the side. I didn't want to mention this but I noticed someone's GT86 at tunerfest, the paint on the inside of the wheel arches where the mud guards would be fitted, all the paint had worn off. I don't know if it was just an older GT86 and had done many miles, and sorry whoever's that was.
-
And then spend a fortune when you get loads of stone chips/dirt from the winter months when it all goes up the side of the car (although it use to in my previous car, I don't know how these are with the design).

They look bigger than mine too

Ahh thanks, I have signed up with flickr now, so hopefully that works out ok.

Tell me about it, I'm pretty sure the tread depth has increased since I have had the car!! Those Primacy's are magic, they actually seem to get more rubber on them the more you drive them I guess I'll find out next weekend, I have a funny feeling I will be the limiting factor on the 9th July, not the tyres, not the brakes, not the handling/suspension. I am hoping I will learn a lot and see what is best for the car/me; if anything at all. You think it looks weird? Oh nooo, I will have little kiddies pointing at me and instead of shouting "wow look at that car" they will be shouting "look at that weird looking car".
-
@Lauren True, good point. I'll try it with 225 though as I just don't think it looks right, but maybe as I'm not use to it. I'm sure by the time these primacy's wear out I will have gotten use to the look of the tyres on those alloys and probably end up with 215's anyway
-
I don't think it would increase much, 4.5mm I believe. Plus it will give me a little more grip, but not much more so I can still have some fun.

8"

Thanks. I was planning to get some coilovers at some point anyway. Just a way off, unless I can find a bargain. Not even had the car a year yet and already done so much to it. I'll see how I get on with it at TSS. Those tyres on there at the moment are still the stock Primacy tyres 215 so they look a bit stretched. I'll get 225 once they have worn down.

Ok, uploaded pics to flickr and edited all posts on page 2 as all the images had disappeared. Not using Photobucket again not only was it incredibly slow it full of ads, and very intrusive too, adverts often blocking the buttons you want to click. If other images disappear then I will just have to upload those too, but hopefully for now they are ok.
-
Yay it worked... Or until something else goes wrong. Now can I be bothered to upload all the other images... and edit each post
-
Thanks was just looking at something different. As I have just seen my account does not allow 3rd party hosting (well why give me the option to copy the [img.] links etc then.) I haven't liked photobucket for a while now, incredibly slow... I will try flickr I guess, not sure how you share each photo though? I have seen other forum members just linking 1 with a slideshow, not keen on that but I guess I don't have a choice on that. Edit: Although Flickr is doing my head in now, I can't seem to be able to create an album how hard can it be!!
-
You can see the pics on here though? Edit: Oh I see, page 2 pics seem to have disappeared. I hate using these photo websites, none of them work. Hmm that is really weird as some are showing and others aren't. I don't understand. I just deleted some old images not used on this thread so can't be a limit?

Some pics of the new alloys fitted (see post below). I did something else to the car but haven't documented it, and I can't remember what it was.
