For Sale - Wide Body AVO Turbo'd GT86 **PRICE DROPPED AGAIN**
Cerastes replied to adamj29's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Cars
I'm sure with your suspension you won't feel the bump -
I don't think I have had issues with fogging. Only problem with putting tape on the front is you end up with it showing quite badly on the glass and there isn't a great deal of contact on that either. To be honest it is a poor design I think. It could do with more surface area to stick to the glass. Was thinking of some sort of flat piece of plastic that can go along underneath where it sticks and wedge it in between each side of the roof liner on the sides of the car. The roof liner will hold the plastic up against the brake light; I think.

Hi all, Is anyone else having issues with the 3rd Brake light not sticking to the glass? It was ok when I bought it, but since having the back window tinted it had to be removed to do that. I then kind of knew it wouldn't stick after that; but the plastic tab also snapped. So I cleaned the glass and applied more 3M tape and glued the plastic tab. Then not sure how long that lasted but again found it hanging. I then tried Gorilla tape; which by the way is absolutely awful to cut/apply as it's so sticky and just doesn't cut easily at all. Obviously cleaned glass and brake light again before applying. Just got in the car today after not using it for a week and found it hanging again. Any suggestions?

Well I wouldn't really want to remove it at all, except if I wanted to sell the car and the new owner wanted it completely stock. But I wouldn't want to sell it any time soon. Brackets would be handy, not sure how they would fit in though? I'm sure that would involve some sort of drilling/cutting/modding? Do you have a link? Thanks.

Yes I have thought about it. I really like it though I have left it in the back seat for a while but every time I brake the whole car lights up when at night
-
Well fairly cheap compared to other GT86 parts.

I'll have to check if I can make this. I went last year but I wasn't in the family good books as it was very close to my brothers birthday; he has one every year for goodness sakes ; I should be able to go to a car show if I want. I'll check before booking this one, but I be provisional for now

They fairly cheap to buy online. Amber £66 or even speedline £43

Sorry, last one. https://www.instagram.com/24hnbr/ Highlights can be found there.

For those of you interested; this weekend is the Nurburgring 24hrs. Last year I watched it online and even though it was 24hrs I thought there would be some big gaps between cars, but if I remember correctly it rained in the last hour or so and some cars came out of nowhere to almost win it. Others spinning off on slicks and that was all in the daylight. Wait until night. Here's an on board video just to wet your appetite. On another note, tickets aren't that expensive for lots of track action. Maybe an idea for a nice little club event . Camp at one of the corners, chat, eat, drink (I know a lot of you like to do that) and watch some racing too.

About 4hrs in and top 4 cars are separated by 3 secs Couldn't get any closer; not sure on the speeds they were doing but it looked fast. Bad news

http://www.24h-rennen.de/live-timing-ticker/#toggle-id-2 On this page there are some links to live on board cams of various cars. Edit: There are 4 GT86's on the race apparently. Not seen them yet and not been able to find the current standing. Edit: Found the live timing. They not doing great. https://livetiming.azurewebsites.net/events/20/results Highest placed GT86 is 95th

Live stream for anyone that can't find it. I think there are a few links on the youtube page to other streams.

@Deacon VLN? I do like endurance racing, it always seems to be closer than I think. I think a few months ago I watched a 6hr event and the gaps were still 10secs or so. Which I think is remarkable considering F1 gaps are sometimes longer and that's just about 1hr 30mins of racing. Also if I remember correctly there were some gt86's in nurburgring 24hrs last year.
-
Hi all, Not sure if this is the right place for this. Thought some of you might enjoy watching this. Nice in car camera views, loads of close racing and side by side for 3 or 4 corners in a row. All equal and obviously a few sideways. Even a few 15 year old's in it and one Brit.

I think it's the rules for that series. Everyone equal. Also if they had massive spoiler and people hit each other from behind, less chance of them coming off with TRD spoilers? And not sure they really need the big spoilers. "PERFORMANCE KIT To maximise safety, performance, affordability and fair competition, Toyota Motor Corporation Australia (TMCA) and Neal Bates Motorsport (NBM) have developed a control specification kit. Control Items include: Engine Baffled oil pan insert Motec ECU with engine program Exhaust – headers/extractors and muffler Throttle stop Suspension – T86RS front & rear shock absorbers and springs Front anti roll bar links Brakes – AP racing front rotors & DBA rear rotors AP racing front & rear calipers Tyres – Dunlop Direzza 225/40R18 DUNLOP DZ2 – 86 Spec Wheels – OZ racing TRD rear spoiler Roll cage – T86RS NBM control specification"

I think you can keep an eye on the series on that YouTube channel, there may even be some races from previous years. I really wanted to go racing after watching it, looked so much fun.

Tuning Developments' NA Package with Milltek Non Res-Mini Review
Cerastes replied to GT MLT's topic in Tuning Developments
Why does it look like the driver's airbag has gone off in the pic? -
@VAD17 I don't think it had a part number on the one Toyota put in, I can check. But I think it's just a bit of plastic. Get in touch with Toyota, they will replace it for free; saves having to use your acf50.

I guess that's the advantage of having a black car, don't really need to match it.

After quick sale? How quick do your children grow lol. Good luck.

For Sale - Wide Body AVO Turbo'd GT86 **PRICE DROPPED AGAIN**
Cerastes replied to adamj29's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Cars
Put it near the front of the GT86 stand if others don't mind. 1. It will attract more to our club. 2. It will be seen and more people seeing it then there is better chance of someone feeling crazy and putting in an offer/going away thinking about it. 3. Also with these youtubers etc when they do these walk around videos of clubs, they will notice it and probably mention it on their youtube channels "look at this one, it looks awesome... oh it's for sale" I'll only take 1% commission lol. I'm cheap -

Take it to Japfest and use that as an advertisement? Put some "for sale" notices up, someone will bound to make an offer? -
I have found it cheaper £108 but then you have shipping costs £22 at time of writing, not sure on customs though. They have the occasional sale too and have seen it for £102. There is also a groupbuy option. I believe it's called " TRD aero stabalizing cover". I have only considered it for stopping/reducing leaves/rubbish getting down there.
