Hey guys, I've recently installed the Tomei UEL headers and got a check engine light. P0031 reads as the o2 sensor bank 1 which I believe is the one before the cat. From what I've read the error code for installing headers and removing the cat is something else. I've been able to get rid of the CEL with a resistor in the plug but have been told it could give a false reading for the air to fuel ratio and cause engine knock. Has anyone done something similar and it been safe to drive? Or have I butchered the sensor and need to replace it? Any help would be appreciated, Thank you.

Thanks guys. I've driven it a little bit today and it seems to be getting there. I'll try the idling after work, see if that'll settle it.

So I disconnected the negative of the battery yesterday in order to remove the front of the steering wheel without beeping anyone. I've put everything back in place but my car now seems more likely to stall... When I'm on the bite point of the clutch, the revs are going up and down slightly. Whereas before it was always steady. Any ideas on a fix would be appreciated.

That's reassuring, I thought I'd done something wrong. Thank you

I've only had mine for 6 months, but even the daily drive through rush hour is fun to me. I still grin when I get in it, and seize every chance I can to push it round corners, and just enjoy driving it. I'm sure it may wear off in a couple of years, but hopefully I'll have the money to mod it, and fall in love over again.

Thanks, I'll be sure to say hi if I can make it

Hi everyone, I'm Ciaran from Wiltshire. Got my BRZ back in June after a 600 mile round trip, which was most definitely worth it. I'm currently paying it off so any mods are a bit of reach, unfortunately. I may be heading to JapFest, so it'd be awesome to meet fellow owners.
